We enjoy our stay every summer!! The staff, the RV sites, the activities for the kids and the views!! We always feel relaxed and refreshed when we are there!! Can’t wait to go back and make new memories!

Great time, super KOA!! People at the KOA Store real nice, nice lady too at the Pool Tiki Bar. My son, grandkids 2 dogs and I had a great time and will come back. I travel the country in my RV and stayed at KOA's from Maine to Florida, Ohio, Georgia, Tennessee and South Carolina. Yours is one of the best! John E. Gallagher

Friendly staff, large pool with music which we liked. Bath houses very dirty, not cleaned often enough. Hot tub shut down- again dirty. Maybe not enough maintenance staff. Good store, lots of amenities, great for kids. Did not eat at cafe but heard it was good. Lots of activities. Might go back but cleanliness is a big deal for us and was disappointed in the condition of bathrooms and showers.

Showers require cleaning and change of curtains as they are molding. The description of the site was not explicit in stating whether there was a sewer or not. The truck came late for the dump and it was also quite expensive to dump our waste water. Overall the pool was nice, the facilities like laundry was good too, the ones near the office. But it seems like it does need some maintenance.

We stayed 6 nights in a camping cabin. Overall a pleasant stay, except the cabins need some work: there was at least a 3 inch gap in the bottom of the door from the frame which let out a lot of cool air and let in bugs (we had to stuff it with towels), there were constant ants, and the locking mechanism on the door needed to be replaced as it was hard to lock/ unlock. Bathrooms were never clean.

Everything was just absolutely perfect! The staff at check in has the best customer service of any KOA I have seen! North Carolina has got it going on! :) I cannot wait to go back.

The bathrooms were disgusting and never cleaned. The showers were so bad we went to the campground down the road to shower. I checked every day hoping it would be the day they were cleaned but that never happened. The ac in our cabin barely worked. We bought a fan to help keep us cool at night so we could sleep. I can't believe how much we paid to stay there. It was incredibly disappointing.

My stay was great except for a staff member who was very rude and arrogant.On June 18 he was escorting a camper to the site next to us.My family was at the bridge fishing he came banging on the camper door asking if the gold truck on our site was ours I said yes and he said I had to move it or he was going to call a tow truck because the camper couldn’t get his 5th wheeler into his site

Outside showers need new handles. Proximity to the beach is the best ever! Bathroom updates need to be finished. Love the young people running the daily activities and events. Live music every night was great!

We stayed in a pet friendly Deluxe cabin that was filthy upon check in. There was dog hair & dirt everywhere, 12 inch rip in the floor that we kept tripping over, no hot water, ants in the kitchen, food under the couch cushions, no a/c or airflow in the bunk bed room. We travel to campgrounds every year and by far the dirtiest cabin yet most expensive we would stay in. Would not stay again.

The sites were so close together that the only excuse is the owner's greed. I stayed in a cabin where the blinds on windows were cracked, and at nite headlights were flashing right over the bed til after midnight. The shower ran out of hot water before I finished. The air conditioner in the bedroom hardly worked and was pointed at my head, so blowing all night with not much relief.

I’ve been coming to this KOA for many years and I’ve never seen it this dirty. The bathrooms never got cleaned during my 5 day stay. I would’ve left early, but there were some friendly staff that made it welcoming- thanks Marin!

Beach access is very difficult, one with steps and a 1-2 foot drop off on beach side. And the ramp to beach on other side had a ramp that was separated by 8 inch gap and very steep causing people to slide down and fall. Lot was not mowed when we arrive and we had to ask for lot to be mowed when grass got to be a foot tall. And the cable did not carry ABC/NBC/CBS stations for the entire 9 days.

This is our all time favorite place to stay! The staff, the facilities, and the atmosphere are top notch! The campground is beautiful and you just can't beat the beach and the sound for having fun in the water! We can't wait to go back!

Showers were not very clean, hair, grass in drains. Hot tube didn't work. Music was OK but sang about "balls and dirty balls " little kids listening to this poop.

Check in was quick, staff very friendly. Grounds were kept clean with trash pickup daily. Entertainment at pool on evening. BUT! some showers closed, both ramps to beach dangerous, hit and miss on bathrooms cleaning. Mentioned ramp issues to staff but never saw any effort to repair them or anything else broken. I was here in June this year and same issues. Very poor maintenance. Open to lawsuit.

I can’t say enough about how friendly, pleasant and helpful that the staff working in the registration office are. The pool was awesome and seems to be well maintained. There were a lot of kids playing in and around the pool during my stay and some were unsupervised especially at night. A lot of running, jumping and diving near other people. Should have staff walk through from time to time.

The campground was well maintained and centrally located. It was a very busy place. It could use a water source at the dog park and faster internet. Next time we will only stay on sites that have full hook ups, ours had no sewer and it was inconvenient waiting for pump out. Overall it was a great vacation!

We loved that our family was grouped together. And the staff was wonderful. BUT, the previous campers leave at 11 and the new ones come in at 1. Wondering why the grass isn't cut. The grass height was definitely weeks old. The cutter came while we were there. Knowing they check to see if camper has left, cutter should come right after that. All in all our week was very enjoyable.

We had a wonderful time with family, enjoyed the beach front, pool and the cafe for breakfast. Everything was nice and clean and the staff was very friendly. We also loved having the ice delivered when needed.

Site 236 employee stays on… grass is uncut and foot tall… camper is dilapidated. Site charges are outrageous and then pull into your site to have to camp next to that piece junk. Beach access has been horrible this year. Again y’all charge a premium to stay… let’s get some sand cleaned off the steps an easier access for everyone.

exceeded expectations. we found the bathrooms well kept. We always love the level of care given here. Your pool is phenomenal! Multiple laundry rooms amazing and recreation activities plentiful. The texts we received each day with announcements was very helpful. Very unique pet accommodations. Though we don’t have little ones, the glow train adorable

Great campground right at the beach in Cape Hatteras. Nice level pull through sites, and great staff. Have stayed here several time over the last 20 years, and will do so again.

First off I would recommend this KOA to all, I see some of the bad reviews and totally disagree. The spots are very level, the staff is caring and amazing, the bath houses are super clean, the beach area is awesome, the sunsets ( waking distance) across the street are to die for and the wifi actually does work but don't expect high speed, use your own hotspot. This KOA is very centrally located and within driving distance to all of the outer banks attractions. Thank you KOA staff for making our visit amazing and our pups also thank you for the very nice large dog parks, woof.
