We stayed last week and the weather was perfect every day. When we checked in I realized I didn’t book a full hook up, they upgraded our campsite no problem, which made all the difference! Every time we stay here it just gets better. I love the activities that they have for kids and the detailed schedule they send out so you don’t miss a thing. Definitely a 10/10!

Kid free extended weekend and it was wonderful! Guest services, tiki bar, pool and good all better than expected! We will be back and might even bring the kids next time!

We’ve been coming here for the last 4 years but this year we were not impressed. All the bathhouses were VERY dirty - and majority of the showers out of order at the one by our site. (10/12 out of order). The hot tub was not working-but open- so it was gross. It seemed like the activities for kids have changed. More often than not they were not free as they were before. Not a great experience.

Great place for a family vacation even with 2 teen kids…we all enjoyed our time there together off our devices for 4 entire days. Much needed family togetherness vacation highly recommended!! Hope to be back next year.

We had a great weekend stay at the KOA. Small, quiet, and well taken care of. The pool was fantastic. My only suggestion there would be to have something to provide some shade. The beach are was nice and it was great having a bathroom right there. Suggestion for this area would be to remove the deep sand along the boardwalk area, it is also not handicap friendly at all. Staff was very friendly.

We LOVEEEEEE the Outer Banks KOA! The staff makes you feel like family, and the resort has everything you need on campus. The beach is just over the dunes. It's heaven on earth and we are going to make this a yearly ritual to go here every summer!

The cabin was filthy. There was urine stains on the bunk beds, there were ants by the couch and kitchen sink. There was some kind of food debris stuck under the couch. (A white sticky substance) , the floors were sticky and dirty. It seems every time we stay it gets worse.

Camp ground it self was great. The lady that checked us in seemed a little grumpy and distracted. Beside that, 10 oit of 10!

like always the staff made me feel right at home and went out of the way to make sure my stay was the best it could be. i was disappointed the the rates had gone up quite a bit, not sure if i will be able to stay as offften as i use to, but like i say its always a great stay and i will return as much as i can. the staff is the BEST thank you all

The staff was very nice, fun daily activities. But, the grounds were not maintained well. The bushes were grown over the sidewalk to the bathroom, weeds grown up everywhere, some cabin railings were half rotted away. Went 12 hours without toilet paper in the ladies bathhouse, after telling staff there was none at 8am, had to call after hours at 8-830pm for TP. There was more but no room to finish.

Have stayed at a LOT of KOAs; this one was just OK. Cabin was beat up though clean. Lots of holes in walls and mismatched chairs for our patio set. Cabin shook when people walked which is scary. Grounds were fine and restaurant was great. Pool was good (though ZERO umbrellas provided!) and hot tub didn't bubble. Bar didn't serve liquor. Front desk seemed undertrained and unable to solve issues.

Loved this KOA. Our site (357) was amazing. I loved that we were centrally located to everything. Jeff went above and beyond and helped me get into my site (it was only my first time actually getting into a site at a campground). The recreation team did a fantastic job of having activities throughout the day. Office staff were great at making you feel welcomed. Bathrooms needed attention.

Hot tube was broken and gross. Had trouble with people walking Thu my site and kids hitting real golf balls almost hitting my truck. When I went to the front desk to complain. The girl pretty much said tough luck what do you want me to do about it. I said send a text out to please be respectful and not to walk Thu sites and play golf. She said she wasn’t aloud and wouldn’t. Won’t be back to

Great campground with great staff and ambiance. Toilets could've been a little more clean but I think that's more because people don't pay attention to leave them clean rather than the staff cleaning.

A variety of overnight options, with nice amenities overall, at a convenient location, at relatively reasonable pricing, and pleasant staff. This was our third time at this particular KOA, and our first in one of their 'studio' facilities, which was far better than we expected.

The location is absolutely stunning, but the facilities are in dismay. Half the washers and dryers do not work. The bath houses care riddled with black mold, a truly hazardous amount. This is due to the poor ventilation, as none of the shower vents were operational. When we alerted staff, they said they try their best to keep things clean. This is not a clean vs dirty concern. This is a hazard.

We love this KOA. There is definitely room for improvement when it comes to cleanliness. The bathrooms and showers were not well maintained. The showers were flooded on a number of occasions and the restrooms need some maintenance, broken cabinets under the sinks makes it look neglected. Overall we had a great time and I am already looking forward to next years visit. Thanks for a great week

This is our favorite KOA! The pool, cafe, store, beach access, laundry, bathrooms, location, options for staying (RV, tent, rustic cabins, deluxe cabins, etc.), all amazing. My only complaint is that the cleaning/maintenance of the deluxe cabin we stayed in this last trip left a lot to be desired.

I honestly can’t believe this was a Resort level KOA. I absolutely would not go back for the following, first our camp site had a beautiful scenic view of what I call junk. We had an end lot which on the map looked perfect except for the ten year old fifth wheel next to us that looked like a junk yard. Bathrooms were disgusting and washers and dryers didn’t work… where is all the money go

Beach is perfect. pool is almost clean. spa was discusting. I rented a cabin. the floor was groomed before we came but that is it. just by lifting the mattress we found out lots of dirt and pet hair in the beds. It needs to be vaccumed. I had to ask at the desk to clean the showers after days of washing in the same garbadge that were not picked up. it's only a cabin but at 200$ a night...

All of the staff were super friendly! Plenty of activities to keep the kids from being bored! Pool was great! Well stocked camp store and restaurant had great food for a fair price. Will definitely be visiting again!

MY WIFE AND I AS WELL AS OUR SONS' FAMILY VISITED FOR 3 NIGHTS. WE WERE LUCKY TO GET RESERVATIONS AT THE LAST MOMENT AND THE PERSON WE SPOKE TO WENT OUT OF HER WAY TO HELP US GET 2 SITES SIDE BY SIDE. WE LOVED THE CAMPGROUND AND THE MANY AMENITIES AVAILABLE FOR THE ENTIRE FAMIL. THE STAFF WERE VERY WELCOMING AND HELPFUL. WE WILL BE RETURNING IN THE FUTURE FOR A LONGER STAY.

Our stay was a mixed bag. The front desk staff was awesome! Friendly, quick check in and informative. The bathhouse was disgusting. Several showers/toilets were out of order. 2 inches of water in the hallway leading to the showers every day. The hallway was a safety hazard as it did not drain. Each shower was very dirty. Under counter doors to the sink were missing, exposing trash.

We had excellent service. They kept the common areas very clean, however, our cabin was in poor shape. Two of the kitchen drawers were so loose that one of them fell apart when opening the drawer to use silverware. Despite that, overall we had a good stay.

Enjoyed our visit to the ocean, pool. Hot tub was not clean and had slimy water. The bathroom facilities were filthy entire time we were there. Half of the commodes were overflowing on womens side. I stayed away from the showers for same reason. Price of this KOA was fine, but due to cleaniness I expected better for the $$. Kids were driving around long after hours with loud music.

First off I would recommend this KOA to all, I see some of the bad reviews and totally disagree. The spots are very level, the staff is caring and amazing, the bath houses are super clean, the beach area is awesome, the sunsets ( waking distance) across the street are to die for and the wifi actually does work but don't expect high speed, use your own hotspot. This KOA is very centrally located and within driving distance to all of the outer banks attractions. Thank you KOA staff for making our visit amazing and our pups also thank you for the very nice large dog parks, woof.
