We arrived just after closing and the owners made checking in so very easy and welcoming. Heavy traffic construction turned our 8 hour drive into 10 hours, so I called ahead. They left our site info,map and gate key ready for us. The level site had a very handsome patio with table & chairs, Weber grill, firepit and two very inviting rockers. We’ll be back! Outstanding service, beautiful grounds.

The campground is so nicely maintained. The bathroom/showers are wonderful. The staff is very friendly. It is also very convenient for our visit to Penn State University.

The campground is clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and courteous. The one thing is the sites are rather close not giving much privacy.

We alwasy love staying at the Bellfonte/State College KOA! So close to campus and the campground has sooo much to offer for all ages. Plus it is open year round!

Even though I paid for a premium site, it was just average. It was on a slope like most of your sites and was very unlevel side-to-side. Not worth the premium price.

Our stay was brief, but the young lady who checked us in (2 minutes before closing) was extremely kind and hospitable even though it was time for her to get off work - she was still very welcoming. The restrooms/washrooms were amazing! It was a very nice place to stop and we hope to stay longer next time we're in the area.

Very nice KOA. We were there for just one night, but it’s a beautiful park with lots of amenities. We will stay again. Nice table and chairs at the site. Rocking chairs as well. Nice fire pit and stone patio. Site was level, gravel.

We walked State College and showed the grandkids where Dad went to school. Got a family picture at the Nittany Lion statue and had a great lunch and beverages at Champs. Toured campus and got back to the campsite for a fantastic T-bone dinner on the Blackstone with fresh grilled corn. Washed it all down with beverages by a cozy fire! And that was only day one! Very comfortable campground!!

Stay at the top of the hill, nice sites. No issue with the access gates they installed after the bike course opened. Looks like the lower sites have been improved with more space a better angles. Staff here is always friendly and efficient.

1st time here we stayed in a very unlevel spot that was narrow and had branches from trees that rubbed our RV sides going in & out. This time we were in a newer section large spots & new facilities.

Sites are level, makes it easy to set up. Great Wi-Fi , we were able to set up our TV outside & enjoy it.

This was our second stay and this time we hooked up in the newer field section and loved the all the room we had. The site was level. It would be perfect if there were some trees for shade ;). My family of boys love the pump track and all the sports amenities. We will be back next year and look to reserve a patio site!!!

Clean and pretty, with staff driving around in golf carts helping and keeping it clean. I will be back!

Cannot thank the staff enough for our stay. We showed up the day they opened at 9am. They were more than welcoming an knew we were coming (trying to get away from severe weather in Ohio valley) everything about this Koa was outstanding. Sites were clean and level. Water pressure was perfect. The grounds were well maintained and it was the first day of season. So you can tell the the staff takes pride in making sure it's a true koa experience! Laundry rooms were clean $2.75 per load. Although I did not use there showers they were also clean! Playgrounds were clean an our kids loved them. I even went fishing at there pond and caught bluegill an small mouth! Dog park was clean an had bags available The staff even the grounds crew were beyond friendly and helpful. The office staff helped us print out a bunch of paper work we needed with no questions asked. I cannot say enough good things about this Koa. My family have literally crossed the country staying at many koas an RV "resorts" this one is top notch if every aspect. If I could critique one thing it's that we showed up to early for the bounce pad to be going an the weather wasn't great and I didn't take any pictures to show how wonderful the property was! 5 stars A+ an many thanks to the Koa crew you are all complete rockstars an it shows via the grounds and customer service at State college / belefonte koa!!! I could go on and on!!! Highly recommend this campground!

(From Summer 2022): I have nothing but great things to say about this KOA. We have been camping here for about 5 years and we will continue to return each year. They do an excellent job of offering fun activities throughout the summer weekends. If I can make a request, Bingo should be a permanent fixture!! My family usually stays in deluxe cabins, which are clean and beautiful, and there is plenty of space for our extended family to join us for meals and hanging out. The bathrooms are clean and well-maintained, and the private bath/shower combos are luxurious. When we stayed in the cabins without bathrooms, it felt was so nice to be able to use these private bathrooms to get kids showered and dressed for bed. The campsite itself is wonderful as well. The pool is clean, with a fun splash pad for younger kids. The pavilion is huge, and we safely sheltered there one year during a massive rainstorm. The jumping pillow is great and newly replaced (2022), the mining sleuth keeps my kids occupied for a while, they have a new and upgraded playground (2022), and their new bike course was tons of fun. I have never had a bad experience, and because I have been to several KOAs (and researched many more), I can confidently say that the Bellefonte location seems to have more amenities than many others. Every year seems to get better and better. We always stay on a summer weekend, and there are several activities on Saturdays, including a giant bubble machine, tie dying, painting, building rockets, etc. Most activities are fun for kids and adults alike. Unlike some KOA campgrounds, evenings are pretty quiet, and it seems like most people respect the need for peace and quiet early in the morning and at night. Their country store is also great and well-stocked. Slushy machines were recently added in the store, and although they were ridiculously overpriced, it was fun to splurge on slushies or an iced coffee on a blisteringly hot day. The staff have always been great too. Highly recommended!!!

If you wish to have a pleasant camping experience with the family, the KOA is lovely and kid-friendly. The pool is heated, and my son was excited to explore the fantastic bike park. If you like fishing, they provide a pond full of fish so your kids may enjoy the thrill of your catch. A lovely swing to unwind on while admiring the pond. The personnel is amiable and fantastic! It's kept immaculately. It's clear that they worked very hard to create the KOA so you could unwind in the summer.
