The showers have on demand hot water heaters, which is fine, but you must wait a full 2 minutes before getting hot water, if you are the first person of the day. Not knowing this is a problem. A sign would be nice telling you this; as I proceeded with a cold shower and was quicker than the two minutes because it was freezing. Visitors s/b free out of season. Still a good overall campground

thought I had booked a premium site. very sloped site for the price. wifi was iffy but cable was great. we stayed at Plattsburgh RV park the month before, had a nice flat grass site, gravel parking, and fabulous wifi for half the price. I know it was a football weekend, but you are getting too pricey for us. we will try your neighbors next time. We have stayed at your cg 2 to 3 a yr for 15 years

Great staff. Close to the quaint town of Bellefonte. Loads of activities for kids.

We've stayed here for years. A few things we have been disappointed with lately are tree overgrowth where we stayed (and along route to our site), and lack of appropriate amount of gravel/limestone at the dump station. The dump station area was a complete mudpit, and it's entirely avoidable with a little maintenance. Other than these few recent concerns, everything was great.

Friendly staff! Clean bathrooms and sites are lovely. The pull through sites are easy to maneuver and the fire pit area is wonderful!

I made a same day reservation and was delighted with my site. I was in the back next to the woods, just where I like to be. The bathroom was warm and clean. The staff was friendly.

LOVE this campground!! Owners take such wonderful care of the grounds, and are very kind and caring toward their guests. Love all the updates/upgrades. Both of our kids tell us this is their favorite campground to go to. We go several times per year.

We stayed October 19-22 2023 in a pull-thru sight with full hookup. This was also a Halloween weekend. We have no small children, but I appreciated all the activities that the campground provided. We also love this campground for it's helpful and accommodating staff and the general cleanliness of the grounds.

Had a great time! Events and activities were a ton of fun. Kids loved the variety of things to do and places to play, between the bounce pillow, fishing pond, playground, and of course the cool bike park!

We have a deep appreciation for KOA campgrounds, and this one, located approximately 20 minutes from Penn State, was truly exceptional. While the sites may have been a little tight, the wealth of activities for our children meant they rarely lingered at our site. We look forward to returning in the future!

Campground and facilities were OK. The young lady at the reception was rather unfriendly. Fortunately the next day ther was another lady who was much more friendly.

Lovely campground with many amenities! Spacious patio sites. Proximity to great restaurants, breweries, and shopping in State College and Bellefonte. Lots of activities for young children -- a bike course, jumping pad, fishing pond, pool, beautiful shaded playground with "bear" benches, and an ice cream social on Saturdays (for adults, too!). We camp here several times every year and love it!

Many sites are under construction and a lot of mud. Sites that still have straw over dirt should probably not be rented out or should be notified ahead of time at least. Makes camping with kids very difficult. Our site had water and cable post right at the entrance to our camper on the passenger side, which was also very awkward with children tripping.

Besides getting a site, site 65 that was to small to accommodate my truck and fifth wheel together for a overnight stay. I had trouble fitting my rig in properly. Besides that my stay was fine.

Was nice. Loved the modern checking pad for liability. We are work kampers and this was an awesome tool. Staff was very nice too. Heard a little traffic noise. Nice long level site.

Of all the koas I’ve stayed at- this is 10/10 Weber grills and Adirondack chairs- decorated and maintenance people awesome!!!! Clean and well kept!!! Bravo

Just a quick one-night stop on our way from New Hampshire back home in Ohio. Everything was good, pull-thru site was large enough that we didn't have to unhook out toad. Entry to site is an uphill grade, but flat enough on top we had no trouble leveling our rig. And our toad doesn't care if it is sloped while parked! Check-in quick and easy. Would stay again.

Cannot thank the staff enough for our stay. We showed up the day they opened at 9am. They were more than welcoming an knew we were coming (trying to get away from severe weather in Ohio valley) everything about this Koa was outstanding. Sites were clean and level. Water pressure was perfect. The grounds were well maintained and it was the first day of season. So you can tell the the staff takes pride in making sure it's a true koa experience! Laundry rooms were clean $2.75 per load. Although I did not use there showers they were also clean! Playgrounds were clean an our kids loved them. I even went fishing at there pond and caught bluegill an small mouth! Dog park was clean an had bags available The staff even the grounds crew were beyond friendly and helpful. The office staff helped us print out a bunch of paper work we needed with no questions asked. I cannot say enough good things about this Koa. My family have literally crossed the country staying at many koas an RV "resorts" this one is top notch if every aspect. If I could critique one thing it's that we showed up to early for the bounce pad to be going an the weather wasn't great and I didn't take any pictures to show how wonderful the property was! 5 stars A+ an many thanks to the Koa crew you are all complete rockstars an it shows via the grounds and customer service at State college / belefonte koa!!! I could go on and on!!! Highly recommend this campground!

(From Summer 2022): I have nothing but great things to say about this KOA. We have been camping here for about 5 years and we will continue to return each year. They do an excellent job of offering fun activities throughout the summer weekends. If I can make a request, Bingo should be a permanent fixture!! My family usually stays in deluxe cabins, which are clean and beautiful, and there is plenty of space for our extended family to join us for meals and hanging out. The bathrooms are clean and well-maintained, and the private bath/shower combos are luxurious. When we stayed in the cabins without bathrooms, it felt was so nice to be able to use these private bathrooms to get kids showered and dressed for bed. The campsite itself is wonderful as well. The pool is clean, with a fun splash pad for younger kids. The pavilion is huge, and we safely sheltered there one year during a massive rainstorm. The jumping pillow is great and newly replaced (2022), the mining sleuth keeps my kids occupied for a while, they have a new and upgraded playground (2022), and their new bike course was tons of fun. I have never had a bad experience, and because I have been to several KOAs (and researched many more), I can confidently say that the Bellefonte location seems to have more amenities than many others. Every year seems to get better and better. We always stay on a summer weekend, and there are several activities on Saturdays, including a giant bubble machine, tie dying, painting, building rockets, etc. Most activities are fun for kids and adults alike. Unlike some KOA campgrounds, evenings are pretty quiet, and it seems like most people respect the need for peace and quiet early in the morning and at night. Their country store is also great and well-stocked. Slushy machines were recently added in the store, and although they were ridiculously overpriced, it was fun to splurge on slushies or an iced coffee on a blisteringly hot day. The staff have always been great too. Highly recommended!!!

If you wish to have a pleasant camping experience with the family, the KOA is lovely and kid-friendly. The pool is heated, and my son was excited to explore the fantastic bike park. If you like fishing, they provide a pond full of fish so your kids may enjoy the thrill of your catch. A lovely swing to unwind on while admiring the pond. The personnel is amiable and fantastic! It's kept immaculately. It's clear that they worked very hard to create the KOA so you could unwind in the summer.
