Stayed for two nights. They should escort you to your site or point out in the directions that they have two gates and which one to go through. It was a nice park with plenty for the kids to do.

No hot water in shower. Even though sign said let it run for 3 minutes. After 8 minutes still no hot water. No escort to camp site…map very confusing.

Campground is very nice with good amenities. Restrooms were great. Check in compared to other KOA's was a little difficult. Direction to our site as not clearly explained or illustrated to us. Additionally, at check in little was offered about trash removal, activities, firewood, ice, etc.

Overall this is a nice campground, Need some gravel down near the dump station and trash bins, It was very mudding due to the rain. I would prefer not to see the rate hikes for the big event weekends for Penn State.

We’ve stayed here for the past 4 years. It’s improving, although we have yet to swim, bike or hike there. Bathrooms were clean, pond is nice and love Hilltop Farms for bacon and produce ( about a mile away) 25 minutes from Penn State.

Beware - the pictures on line are not accurate of the areas other than the premium spots. Premiums are flat, clear, paved and close to the amenities. The other spots are on the side of a mountain. They are narrow, brushy and difficult to access on gravel. We had wheels spinning on the way in and were worried getting out as were others . Even the lower spots looked like there were big humps to.

Went for an event close by. Camp site was easy to get into. Bath house was clean and offered privacy. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

We stayed there 3 straight weekends and it was great. We know we will always have great amenities like the patios on the pull through sites and the bath houses are always very clean and top notch. Great campground!

Campsite we were on was very hilly and could not have a fire at night because it was to close to the other campers. Very clean and well maintained and friendly staff .

we stayed for the weekend and enjoyed the easy check in process. It was easy to fit into the camp spot and easy to hook up for all of the amenities. it was local and close to where we needed to be.

According to the sign, the new energy efficient water heaters take 3 minutes to produce hot water. It's more like 10 minutes. Apparently the flow from a single shower isn't enough to activate the heater as nothing happens until hot water is flowing in one of the bathroom sinks. After that the shower is hot but the hot water doesn't last more than a couple minutes in the shower before turning cold.

Friendly staff, easy checkin, and all utilities worked as expected. Our site was well manicured and appointed. The patio furniture is wonderful and the grill was clean & full of propane. We couldn't have expected any more!

We do love the Bellefonte KOA, but feel they could make some changes. The guest policy is troublesome. Their map they hand out states $3 per guest, but that is not the price. It's $6 or $8 (we didn't have guest this time, but our camper friends did. This was April 19-22 weekend, so no pool, no jump pillow, so why a guest visiting charge to begin with. Guest fee too high

Cannot thank the staff enough for our stay. We showed up the day they opened at 9am. They were more than welcoming an knew we were coming (trying to get away from severe weather in Ohio valley) everything about this Koa was outstanding. Sites were clean and level. Water pressure was perfect. The grounds were well maintained and it was the first day of season. So you can tell the the staff takes pride in making sure it's a true koa experience! Laundry rooms were clean $2.75 per load. Although I did not use there showers they were also clean! Playgrounds were clean an our kids loved them. I even went fishing at there pond and caught bluegill an small mouth! Dog park was clean an had bags available The staff even the grounds crew were beyond friendly and helpful. The office staff helped us print out a bunch of paper work we needed with no questions asked. I cannot say enough good things about this Koa. My family have literally crossed the country staying at many koas an RV "resorts" this one is top notch if every aspect. If I could critique one thing it's that we showed up to early for the bounce pad to be going an the weather wasn't great and I didn't take any pictures to show how wonderful the property was! 5 stars A+ an many thanks to the Koa crew you are all complete rockstars an it shows via the grounds and customer service at State college / belefonte koa!!! I could go on and on!!! Highly recommend this campground!

(From Summer 2022): I have nothing but great things to say about this KOA. We have been camping here for about 5 years and we will continue to return each year. They do an excellent job of offering fun activities throughout the summer weekends. If I can make a request, Bingo should be a permanent fixture!! My family usually stays in deluxe cabins, which are clean and beautiful, and there is plenty of space for our extended family to join us for meals and hanging out. The bathrooms are clean and well-maintained, and the private bath/shower combos are luxurious. When we stayed in the cabins without bathrooms, it felt was so nice to be able to use these private bathrooms to get kids showered and dressed for bed. The campsite itself is wonderful as well. The pool is clean, with a fun splash pad for younger kids. The pavilion is huge, and we safely sheltered there one year during a massive rainstorm. The jumping pillow is great and newly replaced (2022), the mining sleuth keeps my kids occupied for a while, they have a new and upgraded playground (2022), and their new bike course was tons of fun. I have never had a bad experience, and because I have been to several KOAs (and researched many more), I can confidently say that the Bellefonte location seems to have more amenities than many others. Every year seems to get better and better. We always stay on a summer weekend, and there are several activities on Saturdays, including a giant bubble machine, tie dying, painting, building rockets, etc. Most activities are fun for kids and adults alike. Unlike some KOA campgrounds, evenings are pretty quiet, and it seems like most people respect the need for peace and quiet early in the morning and at night. Their country store is also great and well-stocked. Slushy machines were recently added in the store, and although they were ridiculously overpriced, it was fun to splurge on slushies or an iced coffee on a blisteringly hot day. The staff have always been great too. Highly recommended!!!

If you wish to have a pleasant camping experience with the family, the KOA is lovely and kid-friendly. The pool is heated, and my son was excited to explore the fantastic bike park. If you like fishing, they provide a pond full of fish so your kids may enjoy the thrill of your catch. A lovely swing to unwind on while admiring the pond. The personnel is amiable and fantastic! It's kept immaculately. It's clear that they worked very hard to create the KOA so you could unwind in the summer.
