Great place; good people. After a long road trip, having pizza delivered to the site was cool and a first for us. Unfortunately the wood for the campfire was not seasoned and even with their firestarter would light up for long.

Great amenities and close to UMaine and Bar Harbor. Well stocked store. Some pull throughs have campers back to back pretty close to each other so it can be noisy. I would recommend.

Owners and staff were very helpful and friendly. Very positive vibe at this koa. Only negative I could think of was dog poop. I know this a problem caused by dog owners but you had to be careful where you put your feet.

There was nothing so outstanding about the campground to make it cost over $80/night in the off season. I like other campgrounds in the area better and they are cheaper.

Cost was $75.00/night not over $80.00. You were here with 4 other sites for a birthday. You were on a 75' long pull thru site. Your friend made the reservation for you. We emailed you a confirmation with details. You should have cancelled if it was too much. We were 88% booked there is no off season

Nice sites, relaxing week. Not much around there to do but that was ok. Nice large clean showers! Good food at the onsite store.

Small sites, too close to seasonal people that have no regard to park rules, restaurant was great though, all in all disappointed

We add no complaints from anyone else about other customers. When you check in we tell you if you need anything to call us. We can not fix something if we do not know a problem exists. the closets seasonal you were next to we never had a problem with.

Convenient location. Site was big enough for our vehicles. Was a little tight when the neighbor showed up but still enough. Food delivery for lunch and dinner. Ice cream shop on property and nice gift shop. Everyone who worked there was pleasant… Will definitely stay here again!

We had a great time at this campground. The owners and the staff were always friendly and willing to help, in any way possible, so that our stay would be enjoyable. This campground is such a pretty and relaxing place to be and we loved that they delivered our food right to our site. Room service in the woods! It doesn’t get any better! � We look forward to our next visit!

Good - pleasant and helpful staff, spotless restrooms, nice store and on site restaurant, power hookups in good condition. water pressure also good, overall well maintained Not Good - located on main Acadia access route; dangerous entrance and exit due to heavy traffic, road noise, bright lights from other campers and street lights, jet aircraft noise in early morning, sites too close even for KO

Not sure where you come up with bright light. Also we are not on the flight path to the airport 10 miles away, not sure how you heard planes.

Our lot was very uneven, very difficult to get the camper level. The camp sites were very small, our slideout almost touched the neighbors slideout. TV reception was poor, cable was not good very fuzzy.

As we told you when you left and told us about the Cable. You needed to be using the digital stations and not the analog stations, which are clearly marked on the map. I guess you thought we were lying.

The campsite that we had were niot at the KOA standard. Plus we wnted a site without service and the owner told us that there was none. Aftereward we saw on the map that there were some tent site that we could have used.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

you were on a 65" deep lot by 25" wide lot. Not sure why that was not up to standards. You had a van and we do not let you drive vans onto a tent site. We booked you on a water and electric site which is the minimum site for a van.

Campground was nice, well maintained. The front office was terrific, friendly and helpful. Chris was very nice and they made great pizzas. Would definitely stay again.

Arrived at the campground 2 hours before check in time. No problem for Chris and his staff. Pizza’s outstanding. Entire staff was excellent. This place does it right.

Staff is very nice and helpful. While my hookup was fine, there is a problem with the electrical box, no cover. This might have been an issue in bad weather, so I reported it. See you next year!

We’ve not enjoyed virtually any koa or other camp site as much as Holden! Every employee responds as if he/she were the owners and wanted/needed to make our visit the BEST! The food, from bagels, to pizza, to lobster rolls was superb. The gift shop.. amazing! Choices beyond belief of gifts, needs, wants, didn’t know I needed but wanted..etc fabulous! KOA corp should take lessons from these own

I wanted to like this KOA, but just can’t! Our site was so tight, I could reach out my living room window and touch the neighbors slide. Our site was so unlevel, I put two leveling blocks under both my front tires, yet our RV was still low on the front end. Employee at the front desk refused to honor my rewards points for a $50 credit. If all KOA’s were like this one, I would never stay again!

You came in the day after check in on the way out & wanted to use your rewards then. I explained that we need to do it the same day. Because of that you want to lie about the site. You were on a 130' long site which is level and you didn't use leveling blocks. Not sure how a 130' long site is tight!

4 days in a Class A, in a pull through. CG was well kept and pool was clean. Dog runs small and needed maint. Our primary problem with this CG was power, but the voltage was unstable, ranging from 99-127V. Power dropped out one day and we could not use A/C that day. The high temps were in the mid 70s and the CG has a lot of trees. Due to little breeze, the CG got quite smoky at night.

The laundry facility was in poor shape with only two functional dryers making a huge racket. One bath house was unavailable and the other was clean, but pretty beat up. The (long term?) campsite behind ours was kinda trashy with a bunch of Trump paraphernalia on public display. There was only a 30A receptacle available on site, so I had to purchase an adapter to plug in my 15A extension cord.

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable time while staying at this campground! The owners and the staff were so friendly and attentive to our every need! Excellent food from their Pizza Cafe and yummy ice cream from Holden A Kone. We hope to get back this way again next summer!

Lovely spot, right off the hwy, very friendly staff. Lovely gift shop. They are upgrading laundry only one dryer working properly. There is a sm takeout which I thought was pretty neat even if we didn’t use it.overall a very clean quiet park with lots of activities for kids. Nice pool.

Was a short stay, friendly staff, clean washrooms. Only complaint, staff need to review the location of some rocks along roads towards pull through sites. We had to move a large rocks out of the way to navigate turn. Apparently several other campers voiced the concern while speaking with them, they had to move or haul the rock to avoid hitting it while trying to access their sites.

We LOVED our site, a premium patio which looked out onto a small field, not other campers. The rest of the campground looks cramped. The staff was always very friendly & seem to love what they do. Great store & ice cream parlor on site. We experienced persistent power fluctuations. Laundry facility is not in good working order. Great trails through the woods in the back of the campground :)

We stayed for one week. The sites are very spacious and ours was level. The bathroom and laundry room are clean. The staff is friendly. We enjoyed our stay. Only complaint is the massive pothole as you exit the campground. Makes it difficult to pull Out into traffic and not good for vehicles and RV's to bounce through. KOA, how about filling it up with gravel???

Service was great. Didn't stay there but needed propane late at night and they opened to accommodate us. We are so Grateful to the kind staff. Came back days later for a refill. All the staff was kind and welcoming

Wonderful, clean, quiet, friendly campground. I stayed in a Dome tent. Was wonderful! Spacious and nicely laid out. Short walk to restrooms/ showers. Would do again in Heartbeat.
