It was a mini family reunion after a year of pandemic isolation....We are thankful that the facilities were top notch and that our hosts were so friendly. We plan on going camping agin and will stay at a KOA campground!!

Loved this Deluxe Cabin! The layout was very logical and made it feel like a home. Very comfortable and modern. The deck was great for morning coffee and the fire pit was great at night. Staff was super friendly and pointed us to fun activities. Maybe because it was end of season, but this was by far the quietest campgrounds I had ever been on. No kids running around late at night.

We arrived well after closing but the owners had our site and directions waiting for us. Our deluxe cabin was everything we needed and could have possibly wanted. The owners and staff were all polite, helpful and inviting. Our stay was brief but fantastic! Should we ever return to that part of Maine, we will certainly consider their location. We see KOA deluxe cabins in our future vacations.

This was my 2nd visit to Holden KOA. The cabin was very clean, plenty of towels and very comfortable beds. The hosts, Lauren and Chris, are great. Lauren was very attentive and helpful with anything we needed. Always eager to be of service and always with a smile. :) Chris was so helpful with suggesting places of interest and where to eat. He knows the area well and gave perfect directions.

Excellent cabin. Surpassed anything I expected. when I first walked in thought it was brand new. It was 2 1/2 years old. Spotless no sign of prior use.

Very friendly staff. Stayed in one of the deluxe cabins and it was very cozy and clean. Going back Labor Day weekend.

I rent on site campers about 4 times in the summer, I drive about 100 miles each way and Chris is great.

The accommodations were very nice & well appointed. There was an issue with the housekeeping...some small pieces of trash, dust and women's underwear were underneath the pullout sleep sofa & there was no extra trash liner for the kitchen trash can. Otherwise, we had a very nice stay, entertainment at the pavilion on Friday was excellent, the campground was quiet, & staff very friendly & helpful.

We rented a deluxe cabin and were so pleased! It was perfect size for our family, very clean and had everything we needed in the kitchen. We ordered a pizza from the barn and had it delivered FREE right to our sight!!! Amazing prices and one if the best pizzas we have had in a long time, the sauce is delicious! We also walked to the Kone and had an ice cream!

We stayed in one of your small cabins and it was very nice and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in! Very nice!!

Great KOA with all the normal amenities you would expect. The staff is super helpful, very friendly, and have great positive uplifting attitudes. When we first arrived, it rained pretty hard. We asked a neighbor if it had been raining a lot, and he said he had been here for 3 weeks and it hadn't stopped yet. We stayed for 2 weeks, and ended up with like 4 sunny days without rain. This meant that the entire campsite was pretty thoroughly flooded, and our entire yard had standing water with a nice big mud patch right at our front steps. It was so wet that the staff couldn't even mow until our second to last day, so the grass was getting pretty long and soggy. Despite all of the negative weather, the staff maintained their positive attitude, and did not cancel any of their fun events and activities. Even though the pool and bounce pad were out of commission, they more than made up for it with indoor crafts, events, and fun hangouts at the club house. The entrance is EXTREMELY tight. If you are towing a vehicle, I highly recommend you disconnect before pulling in. We did not, and we did not make it through the entrance either. Staff was once again super helpful in getting us unstuck, and gave us the time and space to maneuver safely, instead of rushing us out of the road like we have experienced at other camps, including some highly rated KOA's. The park store here is probably the biggest and most well stocked store we have seen in over a year, and the pizza, sandwiches, and ice cream are tasty and worth sampling. Jones Lobster Company right down the road really does have the BEST lobster rolls, and the best tasting lobster we had during our entire stay in Maine. We camped at Bangor / Holden KOA in a Motorhome. Detracting 1 star due to the water becoming non-potable during our stay due to their septic overflowing into their well contaminating it with e coli.

Stayed here for the Summer 23 Season. Lance and his crew really worked hard all season upgrading the place and if you ever needed anything they were great. Disregard the negative old reviews from prior ownership. Would of signed up for next season but work isn't gonna have me up there.
