I'm rating a 4, which is a low 4. We tented for 2 nights at an electric/water site. The site was nice and clean. It was unfortunate to look at a camper site next to us have all his junk cars and lawn mowers all over the place. Clearly those people have been there awhile. One of the bathrooms was being renovated, and two out of four dryers were not working. Bathrooms that worked were OK.

Lots of activities for kids. Bathrooms clean, but busy 8 - 9, with only two nearby stalls. They gave us the most expensive site (albeit, last site for a motorhome). But it was a 50 amp site where I spent an hour trying to get it to work. Their worker eventually spent another 1/2 hr before realizing it would only work as a 30 amp. No compensation and no apology.

Great KOA! Maybe the best one we’ve stayed at. The sights and the location were good, but the owners made this park a great place to stay! They were always around to give advice on where to go and eat. The store was incredible, best stocked KOA store ever. Super friendly and helpful staff.

Pool needs work and not much to do for the kids, but we enjoyed being close to Acadia, the surrounding area has a lot to offer, and the owners were very nice. Food delivered to your site and one of the best camp stores we've seen were also a plus. Having an ice cream stand on the campground was great too.

We were assigned site 71 but it had electrical issues so we were graciously & quickly moved to site 25, which turned out to be better because it offered more privacy and most importantly, afternoon shade. Tough getting in & out due to the crazy amount of traffic on 1A, but not the fault of the campground. My only complaint would be the noisy staff golf cart frequently passing by our site.

We glimpsed in a dome. It was big and clean. The beds were very comfortable and they supplied pillows. The only negative I have to add it that the shower ceiling was moldy. But it's a campground and to be expected.

The koa is clean but most of the sites are taken up by seasonal campers. I paid 1600 hundred plus 75 dollars for electric for a month. We lost power at least 20 times and the owner claimed it was the electric company not giving them enough power. He even rented out the site next to me every day even though he new it had no power. So if you like over price campgrounds with no power this is for you

We enjoyed our visit. Sites were a little close. I would have given you a 5 but when we lost power one of the workers came by and I asked if it was back on. He said yes, we loose power when you big rigs are here. I looked around I was the only big rig in that loop, #73 the rest of them were trailers. So sure blame me. Perhaps update your power system.

Very nice hosts. Excellent pizza, yummy ice cream. Laundry facility was old and not working well. Washing machines didn’t spin all the water out of the clothes and the dryers barely dried in a reasonable time. Owner said they had a call into the laundry repair. The voltage power was under 104 volts during the days we were there. Just not enough to run our ac consistently when it was super hot.

We had such a great time staying at this campground! The owners and the staff were so gracious and helpful! We loved being able to order food from their Cafe and having it delivered, right to our site, was a great surprise! They have an amazing gift shop and a fun Ice Cream Kone, too! We hope to be able to get back again soon for another visit!

Had poor power and could not run AC ,this was pointed out and they refused to do anything, this was also expierenced by two other campers beside me.

Stay was very nice, convenient location. Only negative was the pool. It was old, cement was breaking apart and the pool deck pavers were very loose. The water was very murky. Went to pool after long day of hiking and was disappointed. The bathroom/shower house was not nearly as nice as many other KOAs we stayed at, some mold on walls/ceiling. Staff was very friendly and rest was nice.

The pool was green and not maintained well. There was an issue with the electrical hook ups. We lost power with in the first couple of hours. Our neighbor said it happens offten and he uses his generator when it does. Our whole section was out. They charged us $30 for 12 pieces of firewood that was delivered. We were in town for a concert in Bangor. The location was convenient. Ice cream is good!

I am sorry the pool was not crystal clear, with three weeks of 90 weather and a heat wave we could not get enough chlorine in the pool fast enough. we could have dumped power chlorine in the pool but everyone's bathing suit would have turned white. Our wood is $5 a bundle or 4 for $18.

Overall ok, not what we expected for the $. Power kept going out and it was very unpleasant to have the neighbors sewer pipes at our picnic table and just outside our front door. Fire pit only a few feet from next camper. No activities during week for kids. One bathroom for entire place very inconvenient for showering during the day when cleaning in progress.

Noise from road loud. Food amenities were excellent. A guy set up a tent next to mine after I was asleep at 10:30 pm and made very loud noises pounding his stakes for 30 minutes

Transient campsite made me feel like we were in a sardine can. One bath house for the entire camp. The other appears to be shut down for renovations but never saw any work going on. However, staff was always cheery.

Sorry that the front bathroom is still under construction. This was not our plan but when everything is back ordered it is hard to get work done. It was not our intent to have it still closed. Like everyone else we are stick and tired of hearing "supply chain issues" for reasons not to get supplies.

The only thing I found that could improve is the showers. There was some mold on the seats and sealing. Had a great time. The staff was very nice and a lot for family activities. Would come again.

Overall campground wasn't bad. My biggest issue was the continued low voltage at my site and lack of follow up. I called office friday evening and was told someone would fix it but never heard back or saw anyone. Same issue sunday. On a hot weekend I went most of it with no AC. I understand things happen but lack of follow up was not good service. Paid for electricity I barely got.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We were in a 3 week heat wave & with everyone using 2 & 3 air ac units and max power, the load is tough. Our electric company does rolling brown outs which lowers the supply. we never said we would follow up as we have no control of the power co. there was nothing to follow up.

the campground very clean and staff was friendly the only down side was the width of roads were narrow inexperienced driver would be hard pressed to navigate other then that would for sure book another stay

Great pull thru sites, no issue with our 42 foot fifth wheel. Owners Chris and Lauren are wonderful. Very friendly campground and store is the best Ive seen. Loved the ice cream store and pizzas available in campground. Lots to see and do nearby

We tent camped (near the Dome tents), and the spaces were very small. Tents would be too close to the fire-ring. The pool was nice. Electricity at our tent site was functional, but seemed weak (our small fan didn't spin very fast, and the hand-dryer in the shower-house also seemed weak). The water at our site was sometimes cloudy. Staff kept the bathrooms/showers very clean!

So far this is our least favorite KOA campground. We stay at KOA campgrounds all the time, this one is quite rundown sites are very very small not many sewer hook up sites and it’s pricey.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

You made the reservation 6 days before & asked for a sewer site. We told you none were available. You checked in you asked for a sewer site still none. Over 75% of our sites have sewer. You were on a 60' long site not sure how that is small. You did not get what you wanted so we are rundown!!!

We stayed for one week. The sites are very spacious and ours was level. The bathroom and laundry room are clean. The staff is friendly. We enjoyed our stay. Only complaint is the massive pothole as you exit the campground. Makes it difficult to pull Out into traffic and not good for vehicles and RV's to bounce through. KOA, how about filling it up with gravel???

Service was great. Didn't stay there but needed propane late at night and they opened to accommodate us. We are so Grateful to the kind staff. Came back days later for a refill. All the staff was kind and welcoming

Wonderful, clean, quiet, friendly campground. I stayed in a Dome tent. Was wonderful! Spacious and nicely laid out. Short walk to restrooms/ showers. Would do again in Heartbeat.
