So great to be back, and excited to see the restored campground in action. Staff was amazing and the grounds were clean an well maintained. The patio site had really nice outdoor furniture with a built in fire pit. Can't wait to stay again!

Very friendly staff and clean facilities. We were there in 2019 also the difference due Helene is very sobering. But they're persistents to open and continue with excellent quality customer service is amazing. Can't wait to return soon.

We enjoyed our stay and had the perfect spot. My dog loved the river. You would never know that it was hit by the storm. It’s very well kept.

We had a lovely stay. The staff were top notch and friendly, the grounds were clean, the amenities were perfect for a long weekend with our daughter. The sites were easy to back into. The free activities were a pleasant surprise! The pool was refreshing and the perfect depth. We had a blast fishing in the pond. Lots of good memories made this weekend.

We enjoyed our stay at Asheville East KOA! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the Deluxe Cabin, it was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun place to stay in the Black Mountain/Asheville area. Thank you for your hospitality and kindness KOA staff!

We had the BEST time at KOA. We hadn't been to Asheville since hurricane Helene, and we were so happy to be back. KOA made everything so easy and we enjoyed the amenities and the cabin was perfect for me and my two teens!

The lady at the desk was so awesome! She explained the KOA points to me….so we signed up! This place is clean and neat as a pin! It is well located for us to visit family. We have a reservation for next week, as well and we are looking forward to our return!

Great stay with good facilities and friendly helpful staff. It is good to see how the East Asheville KOA is recovering from the impact of Hurricane Helene. I look forward to see further progress on my next visit.

Everythig was great. Very glad that you are coming back from storm damage. It’s of activities, especially Independance Day. Staff were great and very friendly. Beautiful environment, river, many trees and open spaces. Welcome here almost every year returning from RV trips.

Very nice staff and beautiful grounds.

We have visited this KOA two times in the past for July 4th holiday. Our prior visits were amazing. This visit we expected to be different post hurricane. The pool area, bathrooms, check in are all perfect. The tent sites still need additional care. We do mis the sites by the lake but i understand the natural disaster that occurred. The way a staff member treated us will make us never return.

Staff goes out of their way to be helpful and welcoming! While they could use more showers and restrooms, we understand they are still recovering from Hurricane Helene damage. Overall, it's a great place to stay while in the mountains around Asheville!

The staff was very accommodating n friendly. We have a new 2027 Jayco with a tankless hot water The water pressure was so low at our rv site that our water heater would not come on. Neighboring rv campers told us first thing in that water pressure was really low. The sites were close. It was quiet n friendly and the trees n surrounding area was beautiful.

Staff was very helpful and went above and beyond to help us with the time frame that we requested to stay. The preordered wood was at our site when we arrived. And they also helped direct us with campsite parking. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed the patio campsite in KOA East Asheville.

We had an absolute blast staying at this location and our campsite was perfect! Despite the destruction from Helene, it’s obvious y’all have been working endlessly to get it rebuilt and y’all are doing a spectacular job! Keep it up!! We’ll definitely be coming back!

To expensive. I called and got an early check in and they charged me an extra $25.00 with out telling, this after paying $80 for just 1 night. The people at the counter acted like how dare I come early, the park was not full, so I didnt put them out any. Not a "family friendly "place. I will say very clean BUT $4 per wash machine.

Very friendly staff. Well kept campground. Perfect for a short stay while passing through Asheville.

We loved our spot next to the river. The staff is very warm and welcoming, and the new facilities are lovely

We extended our stay twice and the office staff were very accommodating. Shuffled other reservations and worked magic. Bathrooms and laundry are new/rebuilt since hurricane. It’s a smaller park because of the storm but they are rebuilding. Our spot was shady, level and just long enough for our 36 foot and car. River is nice. Try and get a site near it.

Loved the site, clean. Had to spray for ants, but I guess that's a beverage ending battle. Hope to stay again.

Was short but loved the sites and easy river access

We had an absolute wonderful stay. KOA East is very clean, well maintained, perfect for families and their pets. Christy and Tim are doing a fantastic job. We have stayed at this campground for the past 15 years. We have seen changes from the terrible hurricane. This campground has gone above and beyond to make it a great place for campers to visit the Asheville area.

Christy helped me fix a mistake I made in our reservation and told us about some places to visit at our next destination. Andy helped me unhook my tow dolly and placed it in the back of our back in spot, he then directed me as I backed into the spot. This couple is a Dynamic Duo and an asset to KOA. The park was beautiful and well kept

Campground was very nice and the staff were very nice and helpful, would definitely recommend it for anyone wanting to stay in that area

We stayed in the Deluxe Cabin and it was perfect! So glad to be able to continue to make more great memories here. The tent sites and cabins we normally stay in were taken out by the hurricane along with so much more so it was bitter sweet. It was our first stay back since Helene and they have worked so hard to recover. The mountain community still needs your support so plan your stay here. Thank you to the incredible staff!

This is a KOA campground not a hotel so I didn't rate the "rooms". We've stayed here for a week for a number of years (except when it was hammered by the flood) actually we were there the month previous to the storm. I will make comments about our 2026 stay. The campground is on the way to recovery. They are doing everything possible to provide campers with a great camping experience. We are camping a class A with a pull behind car. We stayed down on the river. (Saw lots of birds this year but no bear like last year.) The staff are very service oriented. We enjoyed taking our dogs around the lake over the bridge. Its not all open yet but gives a good walk. It was enjoyable sitting outside enjoying coffee with no mosquitoes (were from Florida). The campground has done a lot for the kids. It was great to see families doing stuff outside together. This is one of my favorite campgrounds and we will be back in 2027. I want to thank the owners and staff for their hard work getting this place going forward to be the premium campground it was before the flood. ( my opinion)

So great to see the Asheville East KOA back up and running after the devastation of Hurricane Helene. Talked to the new owners and they have plans for additional cabins in the future as they continue to rebuild. Our stay in the Deluxe cabin was great. The kitchenette was super useful with 4 burners, microwave, large refrigerator, and sink. Plus they had a Keurig coffee machine with a few Kcups for free. Bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispenser. Great outdoor deck with table and rocking bench. Kids loved the fire pit area. Will definitely come back and stay again.
