This is the BEST campground! We have stayed at over 40 campgrounds around the country and this is by far our favorite. The staff is so friendly and they go above and beyond.

Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The campground is clean and there were many details, like shrubs and flowers that made the grounds so lovely. After the devastating Helene, the KOA got right to work and cleaned up and made the campground come alive again. We love this KOA and will be back next year!

Even though we only stayed one night, we really loved it. The shower house was super clean and the grounds were kept up nicely.

Had a wonderful stay here. Staff was amazing and helpful. The park is making a great comeback after Hurrican Helene. Everything is clean and well maintained/rebuilt/updated. Will definitely stay here again. Great job everyone!

Very nice people and enjoyable site. Convenient to other sightseeing and Ashville. Staff was nice only thing i would say is there is dog feces everywhere. We have big dogs so we always do because its yuck but that just kind of brough the whole campsite down a notch. There is a dog-trash can receptacle that is stuffed with bags and no one emptied.

Campground is bouncing back well from the devastation a year plus ago. The sites are nice. The staff is very friendly and efficient. I was impressed with everything from checking in and everything in between to checking out. Very impressed to the attention to detail they take in taking care of the customers and keeping the camping sites clean as well as the campground in general.

The staff consistently went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and convenient as possible .Eric, the manager's wife (forgot her name) desk staff and everyone else took care to make sure all our needs were met at every turn. I wish more businesses treated their customers this way.

We enjoyed this campground recently remodeled due to hurricane Helene flooding in Asheville. Pretty river runs through it. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Only downside for us were the geese. Primarily a downfall because one of our dogs loves to eat fresh poop and earned herself a muzzle mask. The maintenance crew did pick up the poop daily, but there is too much to get it all.

They are rebuilding fantastically. Still parts of the campground not open but what they have restored is fantastic. The new shower rooms are pretty good, just need some more hooks and a shelf over the toilet to put your shower kit on, and a water mat when you step out of the shower to drain the water. The new laundry will be on line soon and it looked great too. Very nice folks running the place.

We stayed the week of Spring Break for the local schools, to watch our great grandkids while our granddaughter could work. The kids had a great time playing on the jumping pillow, in the sand box and the playground, and making lots of friends. Saturday's events were a blast and I enjoyed them as much as our 4 year old Freya. I will be using the worm race for our vacation Bible school this summer.

Had a very enjoyable weekend, despite the burn ban that was in effect. I really missed my campfire. I was glad to see the campground full. I was glad to be able to come back. I do wish a bench would be put in the dog park area.

Very helpful and personable staff! We requested to move camp sites two different times and, cheerfully, with a bit of effort, THEY GOT IT DONE! � It really helped us out! The campground is clean and staff is buzzing around keeping it that way. Kids would have a blast on the safe bouncy ‘balloon’ mound. Ice cream socials! We would visit again when in the area. Highly recommend!

What a comeback from the devastating flood of 2024. The camp is very different looking from the last time we stayed here, but congratulations to the crew at Asheville East for having the courage to build back! We hope to be back soon and are excited to see your ongoing progress!! Hats off to you!

Very nice KOA. Clean with a staff that is out of this world. I have been at this campground many times. Before Helene came through, it was a great campground. After Helene, a lot of damage to the whole area, including the KOA. Thanks to the KOA foundation and other individuals, your campground is coming back to its glory. We will continue to come and stay with you.

Great stay at Asheville East KOA. The park looks fantastic as they recover from the 2024 hurricane—clean grounds and brand�new utilities. Our patio site was large and well equipped with a table, grill, and fire pit. Staff was friendly and helpful, and access from I�40 is super easy, just about two miles off the exit.

Having messed up my reservation on line, the staff was very helpful and friendly. Staff like those at Ashville KOA is why I like staying at a koa. Great sites don't hurt either.

We stayed in the Deluxe Cabin and it was perfect! So glad to be able to continue to make more great memories here. The tent sites and cabins we normally stay in were taken out by the hurricane along with so much more so it was bitter sweet. It was our first stay back since Helene and they have worked so hard to recover. The mountain community still needs your support so plan your stay here. Thank you to the incredible staff!

This is a KOA campground not a hotel so I didn't rate the "rooms". We've stayed here for a week for a number of years (except when it was hammered by the flood) actually we were there the month previous to the storm. I will make comments about our 2026 stay. The campground is on the way to recovery. They are doing everything possible to provide campers with a great camping experience. We are camping a class A with a pull behind car. We stayed down on the river. (Saw lots of birds this year but no bear like last year.) The staff are very service oriented. We enjoyed taking our dogs around the lake over the bridge. Its not all open yet but gives a good walk. It was enjoyable sitting outside enjoying coffee with no mosquitoes (were from Florida). The campground has done a lot for the kids. It was great to see families doing stuff outside together. This is one of my favorite campgrounds and we will be back in 2027. I want to thank the owners and staff for their hard work getting this place going forward to be the premium campground it was before the flood. ( my opinion)

So great to see the Asheville East KOA back up and running after the devastation of Hurricane Helene. Talked to the new owners and they have plans for additional cabins in the future as they continue to rebuild. Our stay in the Deluxe cabin was great. The kitchenette was super useful with 4 burners, microwave, large refrigerator, and sink. Plus they had a Keurig coffee machine with a few Kcups for free. Bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispenser. Great outdoor deck with table and rocking bench. Kids loved the fire pit area. Will definitely come back and stay again.
