We had a very good stay. Even though it rained all weekend you all did everything you could to make it a good visit and we can't wait to come back for July 4th. Thanks

It rained the whole time, so I did not get to experience the whole place fully. I will try them again and hope for a beautiful day. The People are Awesome!!

Two night stay along a stream site. Staff was courteous and helpful. Back in site was easy to set up in (23'Sprinter).

Nice site on the river. Very clean. Friendly helpful staff. Fun large bouncing bubble in playground. Close to Black Mountain 10 minutes and Ashville 20 minutes. Worth a stay.

Just a quick getaway

It will be better when the shower house down hill is open. Staff were very friendly.

Well run campground with super helpful, friendly staff. Facilities were very clean and looked well maintained. Close to a ton of sight seeing adventures in the area. The campground is on a fairly busy 2 lane road. The noise was not bad on the weekend, but could be an issue during the week if you are sensitive to that type of thing. And they had an ice cream social on Saturday that was awesome.

Absolutely beautiful creekside campsite.

Our reception along with others in our group started off a bit rocky due to the rather unpleasant attitudes of the ladies in the office upon check in. There are ONLY three showers / bathrooms for both Men and Woman. The cost to wash and dry a load of clothes seem to be a $1 / load more expensive than other KOAs. I understand that this campground is recovering from Hurricane Helene BUT…

Nice spot with a view of the river. Could use more bathhouse capacity for the size of the campground.

Just an overnight stay, but the friendly staff, level site and location will make sure we come back for a longer stay.

This was our first trip back since Hurricane Helene. The campground is different, but still very nice and enjoyable. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The sites are spacious and clean. We had a great few days camping at Asheville East.

Very kind people welcomed us and provided guidance. Even though the office had just closed, Andy gave us the paperwork and took us to our site. His lovely associate offered us a homemade scone. Charity means a lot after a long day of travel. Our site was level, very comfortably furnished and there were iris in bloom. Quiet, clean, ideal stop for Asheville area.

I really liked. The convenience to my conference at the Blue Ridge YMCA. The camp site was great and the area to walk was perfect for me as I am training for a hike in August. The staff was very nice and helpful. It was so family friendly! I was alone as a 65 yo woman and felt very safe.

Great place very clean and organized. New facilities

This KOA is managed extremely well. It is in pristine condition Always someone to help it answer questions. The restrooms/showers were cleaned throughout the day and were installed recently. We enjoyed the Patio/Fireplace feature as well. We will be back for sure.

We have been coming here for over 20 years. This Park took a direct hit from Helene in September 2024. They have reopened a portion of the original park, and they have done an excellent job. All current sites are FHU, and they have the typical KOA assortment of patio, long level pull-throughs, and back-in sites. Our 45’ motorhome and toad fit easily with room to spare.

Staff was friendly, informative and helpful. Given the limited facilities they had plenty to offer for kids and families. Being a huge fan of Lazy Rivers and less of pools I would like to see them build a Lazy River here. I think it would be a perfect opportunity since plenty of rebuilding is left to be done.

We arrived and Christy helped me. She was awesome. Very professional and also laughed at my jokes. Her husband met us and showed us to our spot and helped me get my RV situated on the spot. We have stayed at KOA before and like the help they give us.The grounds were well kept and you could see they've put a lot of work into the park. It was pretty full. We will come back if we are in the the area.

Amazing place with amazing staff.

One of the best campgrounds we have stayed at. Plenty of activities were planned during our stay. The entire staff did an amazing job making you feel at home. Located near Asheville and all it has to offer, but far enough away from the hustle of Asheville. I would also recommend going into Black Mountain. A growing s.all town that still has plenty of charm.

Campground is nice considering the devastation from Helene. Cable is a must! I am in no rush to return. Staff is wonderful. We will give you a couple more years for improving.

As usual we loved our stay!!! Our favorite KOA. We stay twice a year while traveling to & from Florida. Luke went above & beyond helping us with some camper issues. See you in September!!

This was our first stay at Asheville East since they reopened after Helene. They've done a beautiful job restoring the front two sections of the campground. We hope they'll be able to reopen the areas around the lakes soon. It's always been one of our favorite places to camp. The staff here is so helpful and welcoming! Please come to these communities and enjoy all they have to offer.

Even after the devastation of Helene, the KOA is a beautiful place. We are locals who "test out" our camper every year at this campground. What made our stay here even more enjoyable this year was a young man, Andy Mach, and his wife, Christy, who made us feel as though our enjoyment was a top priority and his welcoming spirit and kindness will stay with us. They are management material for sure

While park is small and not much amenities, the hosts Andy and Christy were awesome. Andy went out of his way to come and check that we were set up and happy several times. All the employees were very helpful and always greeted us with a smile on their face. Very hospitable!

Christy and Andy and every staff member we encountered were more than just friendly, they were enthusiastic about making sure our stay was excellent. The campground is just coming back online after the devastating flood but it was clean and ready with everything we needed.

We stayed in the Deluxe Cabin and it was perfect! So glad to be able to continue to make more great memories here. The tent sites and cabins we normally stay in were taken out by the hurricane along with so much more so it was bitter sweet. It was our first stay back since Helene and they have worked so hard to recover. The mountain community still needs your support so plan your stay here. Thank you to the incredible staff!

This is a KOA campground not a hotel so I didn't rate the "rooms". We've stayed here for a week for a number of years (except when it was hammered by the flood) actually we were there the month previous to the storm. I will make comments about our 2026 stay. The campground is on the way to recovery. They are doing everything possible to provide campers with a great camping experience. We are camping a class A with a pull behind car. We stayed down on the river. (Saw lots of birds this year but no bear like last year.) The staff are very service oriented. We enjoyed taking our dogs around the lake over the bridge. Its not all open yet but gives a good walk. It was enjoyable sitting outside enjoying coffee with no mosquitoes (were from Florida). The campground has done a lot for the kids. It was great to see families doing stuff outside together. This is one of my favorite campgrounds and we will be back in 2027. I want to thank the owners and staff for their hard work getting this place going forward to be the premium campground it was before the flood. ( my opinion)

So great to see the Asheville East KOA back up and running after the devastation of Hurricane Helene. Talked to the new owners and they have plans for additional cabins in the future as they continue to rebuild. Our stay in the Deluxe cabin was great. The kitchenette was super useful with 4 burners, microwave, large refrigerator, and sink. Plus they had a Keurig coffee machine with a few Kcups for free. Bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispenser. Great outdoor deck with table and rocking bench. Kids loved the fire pit area. Will definitely come back and stay again.
