We were so happy and excited to see yall back!! Our water pressure was lower than normal but other than that we had a great stay!! We will definitely be back sooner than later!!

Perfect location between Asheville and Black Mountain for the activities we were interested in pursuing. The campground itself was well taken care of. We did not use any of the facilities provided but they also looked like they were in good shape.

This was our first time visiting, we loved the scenic view of the mountains all around us and the river running along the campground.

Super friendly staff!!! (Allowed an extra hour for checkout time so I was able to spend a little extra time with our visiting family!). Great facilities! Little noise from the main road outside the campground, but still a great place to stay.

Planned a 4 night stay with friends across from us. When we arrived, my friend and I were on opposite ends of the campground. Very disappointing since I took the time to call when I made the reservations to make sure we were close to each other. If you go there make sure you site number on your reservation. Don't have the experience I had!

I’m rating this place high because of the exceptional job they have done to get it back up and running after the devastation flood they experienced back in sept 24. I have never been there before, but looking at the pictures prior to the flood. This was an amazing place. And will be again in the near future.

They’ve done a wonderful job rebuilding. Sites are bigger. Pool still isn’t opened (not an issue for us). We prefer the lakeside sites (great views); although, those sites are still closed. Can’t wait for those repairs to be completed. Will take time to complete all repairs. We’ll continue to book here. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

We stayed two nights. Campgrounds are looking good just a lot more work to get there. Need bathhouses and the pool open. Had a few campers with dilapidated campers not what you want to see on your vacation.

Staff were very friendly. Coffee food truck was nice. We understand that the campground is rebuilding after the hurricane. It will be great again after the amenities are rebuilt. We will come back.

The refurbished sites are great. The temporary showers are not. Please change the plumbing setup on the showers. Having to hold the lever open to get water is difficult!

Clean campground. They had opened 3 weeks prior to our stay. This campground was flooded from Hurricane Helena & lost a lot of sites & cabins. Would stay here again when in the area.

We stayed a couple of nights, stayed here for years and so sad to see the loss, of buildings and sites from Helene. New sites are nice and spacious. Our granddaughers enjoyed the new bouncy area. We will be back.

I understand that the park is still recovering after Helene, but it seems to me that the cost should be adjusted accordingly. The pool is still closed but looks like it just needs to be cleaned. After a long day working with local volunteers to help restore the area on these hot July days, it would have been nice to come back and cool off.

This is a nice campground in a great location. Everything is super clean and the grounds staff is attentive. The ladies in the office are very friendly and helpful. We extended our stay and Jill made it so easy for us. We’ll be back!

We stayed in the Deluxe Cabin and it was perfect! So glad to be able to continue to make more great memories here. The tent sites and cabins we normally stay in were taken out by the hurricane along with so much more so it was bitter sweet. It was our first stay back since Helene and they have worked so hard to recover. The mountain community still needs your support so plan your stay here. Thank you to the incredible staff!

This is a KOA campground not a hotel so I didn't rate the "rooms". We've stayed here for a week for a number of years (except when it was hammered by the flood) actually we were there the month previous to the storm. I will make comments about our 2026 stay. The campground is on the way to recovery. They are doing everything possible to provide campers with a great camping experience. We are camping a class A with a pull behind car. We stayed down on the river. (Saw lots of birds this year but no bear like last year.) The staff are very service oriented. We enjoyed taking our dogs around the lake over the bridge. Its not all open yet but gives a good walk. It was enjoyable sitting outside enjoying coffee with no mosquitoes (were from Florida). The campground has done a lot for the kids. It was great to see families doing stuff outside together. This is one of my favorite campgrounds and we will be back in 2027. I want to thank the owners and staff for their hard work getting this place going forward to be the premium campground it was before the flood. ( my opinion)

So great to see the Asheville East KOA back up and running after the devastation of Hurricane Helene. Talked to the new owners and they have plans for additional cabins in the future as they continue to rebuild. Our stay in the Deluxe cabin was great. The kitchenette was super useful with 4 burners, microwave, large refrigerator, and sink. Plus they had a Keurig coffee machine with a few Kcups for free. Bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispenser. Great outdoor deck with table and rocking bench. Kids loved the fire pit area. Will definitely come back and stay again.
