Campground is definitely recovering from the hurricane last year. Very kind staff who are helpful. Location was good for us to visit Biltmore and downtown Ashville.

over-nite pull thru, KOA check in, just stopping by on way home from trip, have stayed 'pre' Helene and wanted to see what was left. my condolences to the previous campground it was a most sought after campground, may it return to its formal glory, I shall return.

We were glad to see the campground coming back great place to stay restaurants close and the Blue Ridge parkway although not completely open but still beautiful when we saw on the KOA app that they were reopening we decided to make it a stop on our fall trip were happy we did.

I travel full time in my RV. I use campgrounds sparingly to replenish water and dump tanks. Had I known that the bath house was not open I would not have stayed. One of the amenities I enjoy is standing in a hot shower. The portable showers weren't better than my own RV shower, which I opted for. The fenced dog area is too small, you can hardly throw a ball to exercise an energetic dog.

I love the place! If I had one correction to make, it would be that the rocks in the A section pad are very rough and course. There is also a sharp drop off from the camper pad down to the grass that One could easily roll their ankle on. Thank you.

We enjoyed our weekend at East Asheville KOA and are happy to see the progress and rebuilding since Helene. The entire staff was very nice and helpful. We look forward to a return trip!

We stayed here for three weeks in September while visiting family. They are still recovering from Helene so they don't have a laundry or restrooms but they do have a portable shower/restroom. The park was extremely clean and well maintained and the staff was very friendly. Patio sites were very nice with firepit and nice furniture. Would definitely stay again.

Considering what this KOA went through a year ago with Helene, they are inching there way back! Pros: location to Asheville, Blue Ridge Pky, and Black Mountain; FHU; new electrical hookups Cons: We were in small loop to left of entrance. Sites are tight, not much room between, not great drainage in cases of rain. Neutral: Large trees are good for shade, but a bit concerning for limbs.

Only having three bathrooms was very inconvenient. One of the toilets was stopped up so that only left two toilets for the whole campground. I had to walk back and forth three times before I could get into a toilet.

Based upon the Helane hurricane recovery, the campground was very pleasing. One point of dissatisfaction was the yard maintenance crew. When they used their edge trimmers to cut the strips of grass between the campsites, the grass flew all over the side of RVs and cars. Perhaps have that crew blow off the grass clippings when done trimming. Thank you!

The Asheville KOA staff was very helpful with our check in process and we were made to feel relaxed and welcome. Campground only being partially open was not an issue at all for us as we knew the devastation that occurred in 2024. Our site was perfect for our needs with everything in order. Close to town with easy access to the highway and surrounding attractions. A+++ for us!!!!!

Very nice. Campground is a work in progress of rebuilding after the hurricane/flood. Was a nice place to spend the night. We will be back.

We usually stay here twice a year. As in all the other stays we find the park clean and well managed. Even though damaged by the Hurricane Helene flood last year the front park of the park is repaired and the same as last year.

Our stay was excellent. Perfect weather as well. The campground has made great strides in rebuilding and the sites that are finished are all very nice. Staff is great. So looking forward when they finish working on the next section of the campground. Hope and prayers that the lakes will be built back. Will be booking sites for 2026 soon

We had a wonderful weekend at this KOA. Perfect location for our visits to family in the area, and fantastic campsite at B28! The mobile restrooms are functional and as clean as possible; but it will be nice when regular facilities are back. The staff was always friendly and helpful! And we're so glad this KOA is back up and running. Keep up the good work as you continue to return to "pre-Helene"!

We continue to visit Asheville East KOA. All campground employees are very friendly! The campground is recovering superbly from the damage and carnage left the hurricane a year ago. Can’t wait to return for another visit and see additional progress.

Thank you for an enjoyable stay. Jill welcomed us and took care of our reservation. The campground has been through a lot, but they are doing an outstanding job bringing it back. Definitely recommend staying at this campground! We will be back very soon.

We stayed in the Deluxe Cabin and it was perfect! So glad to be able to continue to make more great memories here. The tent sites and cabins we normally stay in were taken out by the hurricane along with so much more so it was bitter sweet. It was our first stay back since Helene and they have worked so hard to recover. The mountain community still needs your support so plan your stay here. Thank you to the incredible staff!

This is a KOA campground not a hotel so I didn't rate the "rooms". We've stayed here for a week for a number of years (except when it was hammered by the flood) actually we were there the month previous to the storm. I will make comments about our 2026 stay. The campground is on the way to recovery. They are doing everything possible to provide campers with a great camping experience. We are camping a class A with a pull behind car. We stayed down on the river. (Saw lots of birds this year but no bear like last year.) The staff are very service oriented. We enjoyed taking our dogs around the lake over the bridge. Its not all open yet but gives a good walk. It was enjoyable sitting outside enjoying coffee with no mosquitoes (were from Florida). The campground has done a lot for the kids. It was great to see families doing stuff outside together. This is one of my favorite campgrounds and we will be back in 2027. I want to thank the owners and staff for their hard work getting this place going forward to be the premium campground it was before the flood. ( my opinion)

So great to see the Asheville East KOA back up and running after the devastation of Hurricane Helene. Talked to the new owners and they have plans for additional cabins in the future as they continue to rebuild. Our stay in the Deluxe cabin was great. The kitchenette was super useful with 4 burners, microwave, large refrigerator, and sink. Plus they had a Keurig coffee machine with a few Kcups for free. Bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispenser. Great outdoor deck with table and rocking bench. Kids loved the fire pit area. Will definitely come back and stay again.
