We had a lovely time. Very nice, clean campground. Was quiet at night even when campground was full. Close to things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains and Ashville NC.

We were so impressed with the work being done to fully restore this beautiful campground that was so heavily damaged during Hurricane Helene. It is still wonderful and we will be back soon.

The CG is developing nicely after the impact of Hurricane Helene. More rock on some sites to avoid puddles and installation of permanent bathrooms and showers will help.

It is a great RV campground especially coming forward from a devastating Hurricane.

The park was very nice after having to renovate from the hurricane. We found it nice to have the power pedestals elevated much higher. We're very glad they could recover after all the devastation.

This was our first time back since the flood. We were very impressed. All the rebuilding so far is even better than before. We have always loved staying at this park and even though they’re still working on rebuilding I’m so glad we were able to go back and stay there. Can’t wait to see what more is to come!

This was our first stay at your facility and we had a good time. The only thing that bothered me was the road noise. We are used to staying in state parks that are very quiet. That said, we would (and likely will) stay with you again because of your central location to everything we like to see. Your staff was very friendly and the part of the park that has re-opened post Helene was very clean!

Awesome vacation at Asheville East KOA. We were there for 3 weeks and already missing our beautiful creek side site. The staff are so nice and helpful. Thank you. ϋϋ

We enjoyed our stay. The campgrounds were clean and decorated for fall. Personnel were super friendly!

It was a great stay! The flood was devastating on the campground and they have done an amazing job to get it back into shape. Still got a long way to go to get it back to where it once was. I will definitely be back soon.

We are so thankful that Asheville East KOA is open since Hurricane Helene in 2024. I can’t say enough, and appreciate all that Lisa and Doug did for us during our stay. Highly recommend this beautiful campground!

Front desk folks were friendly and helpful, campground was clean and pleasant, campsite was easy access and in good condition. I loved that they came around each morning to pick up whatever trash bag you set out! I have reserved two more days in October!!!!!!!!

We had a lovely time, thank you for the wonderful smores!

Our site was very nice, we had a patio which was good to keep the dust from inside the camper. The firepit and furniture were new and in very nice shape. The big drawback was the bathroom situation. The only option was the trailer which was cold inside (our trip was in the fall and it was in the 40's in the am). The bathrooms were not cleaned early in the morning and not pleasant to use.

This Park took a direct hit from Helene in September 2024, they have done an excellent job rebuilding. All current sites are FHU, and they have the typical KOA assortment of patio, long level pull-throughs, and back-in sites. Our 45’ motorhome and toad fit easily with room to spare. Take some time to walk around nearby Black Mountain, check out the corner hardware store and small local shop

Amazing recovery from the hurricane. Sites appeared a bit more spacious. We already booked a site for next year.

We are SO happy that this campground is back open! You have come so far since the devastating floods a year ago, and we can't wait to see what changes will have been made the next time we stay! One thing that hasn't changed is the friendliness of the staff; everyone was wonderful as always. I would like to see more campground lighting sooner rather than later, it is super dark at night.

I'm sure that this campground was totally awesome before it was flooded out in hurricane Helene. Everyone was very friendly and we had a great time and it's clear they are doing their best in a rebuilding situation. We will come back.

This koa has always been 1 of my favorites! The office people are great! The hurricane last year devastated this area but it is rebounding! The Campground itself is also rebuilding. The front half is fully functioning with new high speed wifi, seasonal pool, play ground and game area. The back half, on the other side of the river is still being rebuilt. I can't wait to see it when it is complete!

I mainly stayed to attend a music festival . I felt safe and the site was clean and easy to park.

I would recommend this KOA for its beautiful and convenient (although somewhat noisy) location. Currently (because of last year's hurricane), the only bathroom/shower facility nearby is a portable set-up, which was not mentioned in the listing. This would not necessarily have been a deal breaker, but the shower curtain looked like it had not been changed all season and was covered in mold.

Great campsite, in back area near the facilities. Accommodating staff who also keep everything very clean. Only suggestion would be flush the water line.

I loved your campground as there was a nice walking trail around and about the river. It was very quiet and everyone was so nice.

We stayed in the Deluxe Cabin and it was perfect! So glad to be able to continue to make more great memories here. The tent sites and cabins we normally stay in were taken out by the hurricane along with so much more so it was bitter sweet. It was our first stay back since Helene and they have worked so hard to recover. The mountain community still needs your support so plan your stay here. Thank you to the incredible staff!

This is a KOA campground not a hotel so I didn't rate the "rooms". We've stayed here for a week for a number of years (except when it was hammered by the flood) actually we were there the month previous to the storm. I will make comments about our 2026 stay. The campground is on the way to recovery. They are doing everything possible to provide campers with a great camping experience. We are camping a class A with a pull behind car. We stayed down on the river. (Saw lots of birds this year but no bear like last year.) The staff are very service oriented. We enjoyed taking our dogs around the lake over the bridge. Its not all open yet but gives a good walk. It was enjoyable sitting outside enjoying coffee with no mosquitoes (were from Florida). The campground has done a lot for the kids. It was great to see families doing stuff outside together. This is one of my favorite campgrounds and we will be back in 2027. I want to thank the owners and staff for their hard work getting this place going forward to be the premium campground it was before the flood. ( my opinion)

So great to see the Asheville East KOA back up and running after the devastation of Hurricane Helene. Talked to the new owners and they have plans for additional cabins in the future as they continue to rebuild. Our stay in the Deluxe cabin was great. The kitchenette was super useful with 4 burners, microwave, large refrigerator, and sink. Plus they had a Keurig coffee machine with a few Kcups for free. Bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispenser. Great outdoor deck with table and rocking bench. Kids loved the fire pit area. Will definitely come back and stay again.
