Even after the devastation of Helene, the KOA is a beautiful place. We are locals who "test out" our camper every year at this campground. What made our stay here even more enjoyable this year was a young man, Andy Mach, and his wife, Christy, who made us feel as though our enjoyment was a top priority and his welcoming spirit and kindness will stay with us. They are management material for sure

While park is small and not much amenities, the hosts Andy and Christy were awesome. Andy went out of his way to come and check that we were set up and happy several times. All the employees were very helpful and always greeted us with a smile on their face. Very hospitable!

Christy and Andy and every staff member we encountered were more than just friendly, they were enthusiastic about making sure our stay was excellent. The campground is just coming back online after the devastating flood but it was clean and ready with everything we needed.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and kept my grandkids busy with crafts. The especially loved the inground trampoline.

We arrived after hours and were able to easily locate our site. The amenities were great and lots of fun. The river is beautiful and so is the campground. We spoke with Andy for awhile when he stopped by the dog park to admire our pup. He was very nice and helpful. It’s amazing how great the park looks considering what they’ve been through. We can’t wait to come back and see more upgrades.

Andy and Chisty were great. Very clean and well maintain park. The Christy arranged a perfect spot right by the river. We don't usually back in but Andy guided us in the back in spot and the spot was perfect. Thanks for the great experience in Asheville East KOA.

Great place with walking trails and a beautiful river running thru it. Well set up and easy to navigate to your site. Great trash service picking it up for most of the day. Lakes with baby geese and ducks. Wooded area to bird watch. Close to many great things in Asheville area.

.Heartwarming to see the continued progress of renovation after the storm. The sites in A are easier to back in to with the angled arrangement. The first impression is the worst. Find a way to make the entrance from 70 smoother and modify the speed bumps to reduce the punishment on our bodies and equipment.

Very friendly staff and very level sites. We booked a river view site and the views are nice from inside or outside our RV. Internet has been great. Road noise from US 70 is a bit distracting but other than that, no complaints. The rebuild since Hurricane Helene seems to be going well. Standout moment, when I saw staff cleaning the tables after campers checked out! That's a first for me.

Three (3) night stay and was very pleased with your facility! Easy to get to and in and out of! We toured Biltmore Estate, explored Swannanoa and Black Mountain. Enjoyed eating at the Okie Dokie’s Smokehouse (loved their sliced brisket) and great breakfast at the Blue Ridge Bisquit Co. �

Absolutely beautiful park!! The front office is so welcoming and everyone I came in contact with was so helpful and kind. The showers and laundry are immaculate. 5 washers, 5 dryers. We stayed in a patio site. The gentleman that escorted us to our site made sure we were settled and happy with our site. This park is definitely on our "will come back" list!!

Stayed for 2 nights while making a waterfalls road trip. Campground was very clean and staff was very friendly and helpful. We wanted to also try and help the region with business as the area is still recovering from all the damage Hurricane Helene caused.

We were not given a bathroom code. Also there are three bathrooms for the whole campground. In the morning, after getting a code from a other camper went to the bathroom and it was out of toilet paper.

It was our second one night stop, breaking up our trip back home to TN. Very convenient, on and off rt I40. Only comment is that the sewer connections stick up out of the ground, on the slight raised area next to the rv site and its very difficult to dump since there is no way to get a natural downward slope. Besides that, it's a great spot, and I am sure we will return.

We’ve stayed here before the devastating hurricane and absolutely loved it there. The folks who work here like Camp Host Andy, have been working extremely hard to get this campground back to what it was before the storm and even better. We were extremely happy with our spot on the river and we look forward to coming back again very soon!

The rebuild is coming along great. The reworked spots are mostly level already and easy to access. Very friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Perfect spot for a campground. Rebuilding nicely after Helene. The staff we met and spoke with throughout the stay were super nice and helpful. I will definitely be returning to this campground.

So happy to see Asheville coming back! The KOA East was clean and accessible. The staff were all super kind! Shout out to Andy and Lisa! New shower/bathrooms were great! Laundry room was clean and great folding areas! Look forward to our next visit!
