Loved our campsite and the atmosphere. Our only complaint is the big dip getting in and out of the KOA on to the main road. We drove very slowly and it still jostled everything in our rig. For an RV park to have that at the entrance is unacceptable.

It's has great amenities. 2 lakes and a river too! It's really pretty. Very clean. It was a Friday night so there were alot of people. And our campsite had no privacy. Not my kind of camping. But many others looked to be having a fabulous time. If I went back I would get a cabin.

Very nice campground. We’ve been coming here for many years. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Nice improvements on the upkeep on the cabins, remodeling restrooms and different campsites.

The quiet hours rule was not enforced. Adults were loud and partying, and kids were running around and being loud well past midnight. We like to have a campfire and a few adult beverages, but we don’t yell and carry on once quiet hours start. Our kids are put to bed once quiet hours start. The Canadian Geese were a menace. Pooping on outdoor mats and carpets. And honking all night.

Very nice campground with friendly helpful staff. My site actually resembled the site I selected on line. Lots of nice hiking around pretty lakes.

Everyone was very nice however there were alot of weeds growing in the property and things were not that pristine for what you charge to stay there. Half the washers and dryers did not work which was a pain trying to do laundry.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Staff was friendly, restrooms were clean, fish were biting. Two suggestions: guys cleaning sites should check a little more closely as I picked up cigarette butts, a q-tip and several used zip ties off our site. The other thought is a great addition to your facilities would be a fish cleaning station as I had to use a hose/picnic table two evenings. ��

It’s a beautiful place. The only negative point is the showers, they need to be updated, the water pressure is soo strong, it’s like a fire hose.

One of the most scenic KOAs in the U.S. be sure to get a lake front site!!! Great bathrooms too.

We have stayed here about 4-5 times. Very nice place, bathrooms and grounds. Fishing is very good. Everyone very friendly.

1st time in many (at least 100+) KOA visits over 8 yrs (90k miles) “golf cart” guide didn’t dismount & offer to assist entering (head-in or back-in) the RV site. Guide slowed down & pointed out the back-in site & left. Mature park w/ narrow sites flanked by a plethora of 30+ inch diameter deciduous trees, many leaning into the sites w/ perilous ovrhd limbs Disappointing! Fellow patrons assi

Really pretty campground. Check in was a breeze. The staff leads you to your campsite, which is really helpful and nice. We had a full hookup site - the pond was on one side, the river was on the other side. Bath houses are clean and well kept. My only complaint was unsupervised children! Parents were no where in sight ... typical teens and preteens doing things they shouldn't.

Site was worse than a Walmart parking lot as far as tight sites! Employee had me trying to pull into a site with a 40’ 5th wheel with no turning area! The motor coach in the spot next to original assigned site was tight in between 2 oak trees and no area to pull out! He asked my escort from KOA how was he supposed to get out! Our site was small for a 40’ fifth wheel. It was also full of leaves. Making it difficult to keep the camper floors clean even with a rug out. We normally enjoy our stay here. Just seemed a little off this time.

Beautiful campground. It is our second stay here and does not disappoint. The ponds, stream running through, and scenery are wonderful. Highly recommend.

The positives: campground graciously accommodated changing our reservation 2 days prior to arrival; areas around the creek and pond were lovely; received messages about water leak and shutting off water for repairs. The negatives: our B29 site was VERY narrow with slide outs extended, goose poop all over, water shut off 8:45PM-8:45AM the day we were leaving- inconvenient!

Showered near CC01. Good pressure and hot water, but there must be some way to keep the water off the floor outside the shower. Lower shower curtain? Install a short (half inch? One inch?) berm?

Excellent except for men’s showers by office. Taps terrible and old so hard to regulate and hot water runs out after two minutes. Only One hook in one stall for clothes. Two in the other but one broken. Such a great campground Was surprising to see such bad shower situation at that bathroom. Told other bathroom was better but it’s across the river from front campers so impractical.

Very nice campground like a KOA should be. Level, gravel and dirt sites. No concrete, so it feels more like a camping experience. Very friendly and helpful staff. Showers were great-hot and the shower heads actually worked! Beautiful surroundinds! Would stay again.

I stayed at a site by the river with a water/electric hookup. It was a nice spot close to the bathhouse. The location is convenient, and Asheville is easy to get to. I walked my dog around the two lakes multiple times. Staff is friendly and their little shop offers anything you might be missing while camping. I will come again.

The internet was good, which was important to us. Wish they had a threaded sewer connection so there would be no leakage. Loved having someone show us and guide us to our site upon arrival.

Are stay was a short 4 day stay but went very well. The grounds were nice and the spot was close to most things like stores and gas. The lots were level and the staff were there to get you anything you might need.

My 5th time in 3 years staying there. It's beautiful but most of the sites in section D are far from level. Aside from that it's a wonderful place to visit

Very nice conveniently located campground. Very clean and well kept. The ponds and stream were especially nice. The only thing that wasn't great was the laundry facility. Although the laundry was sufficient it could use some upgrading.

Really nice campground. Doesn't have the same space around campsites as a state park would, but it was really nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. Very easy reservations and check in process. Bathhouse are very clean and the grounds are well kept.

This place is so well-maintained and beautiful, it's a little oasis right off the highway. Perfect place to stay while hiking and exploring the area. The staff is so nice and helpful. Just do it, make your reservation and have some fun in arguably the best part of the NC mountains!
