This KOA was great. A ton of activities for all. Communication of the activities were great and convenient by text. Christy was awesome at the front office/store. Andy was also great took the time to talk to me and gave some excellent recommendations for the area. Will definitely visit again!

Remarkable comeback after the flood. The staff is exceptional, the sites even better than before and everyone is having a great time. Can't wait to see the next phase of renewal. One of the best I have visited.

Was not told upon reservation that the pool was closed and apparently has been closed for some time. Also 95% of the camp spots on the B side is not shaded and it was pretty brutal to be exposed to heat the whole time and have no pool to get into. Fishing at the lake was still available but it was completely over grown

Had a great stay! We'll definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our stay. It was our first time staying here and the staff was awesome. The amount of work that they are doing after the hurricane is amazing we really hope they can get it back close to what it was. We look forward to staying again soon.

The staff were very friendly, helpful, and attentive. My kids loved the activities and they jump pad. The bathrooms and other facilities were clean. Will definitely be staying here again.

Well Andy and his wife are really helpful outstanding hosts! Andy especially. He assister us to our spot and answered all our concerns. The bathrooms were amazing- new. And the grounds are well kept. One of the nicest koas despite the damage from Helene 2 yrs ago. 5 stars!

Jill charged us $35 per dog x 3! Never in all my years of coming there have I ever been charged; And Jill was very argumentative! Not to mention she gave me the wrong key to the cabin twice! The bed in the cabin felt as if a hole was in the center of the mattress. Jill needs classes on her customer interaction skills! She IS the representative of KOA, and not a good one at that!

Very clean and level sites. Over the air channels were from Charlotte. Park quite full, so reservations highly suggested. Easy to get to, quiet location for a good nights sleep. They are expanding another area that hurricane Helene damaged, so will be even more sites in the future. Will definitely stay here again.

I’ve explored the area and this is a the nicest campground in Asheville - very clean and tidy with easy access. They are doing an amazing job of rebuilding after the hurricane Helene. The staff is great. The office is very accommodating and the people who maintain the park are vigilant. We held an RVing Women rally here - about 24 of us - and everyone really enjoyed their stay.

Stayed for a week. Very friendly staff. Shout out to Andy! Someone had ran over our sewer pipe and Andy fixed it asap. Clean bathrooms.

I really enjoyed my stay here, this is the nicest KOA I’ve stayed in!!

Still struggling to recover from the flooding so some repairs are incomplete. Don’t appreciate that if you don’t pay to pick your campsite, that you are placed almost as far from the showers and restrooms as possible, despite an almost empty tent campground

We love this KOA! We've come here for years. The setting is just beautiful with the river running through it. The sites are well maintained. It was hit hard by Hurricane Helene but they have made great strides to bring it back. New showers and bathrooms, great laundry facilities, updated pool area, Our grandkids love the jumping pad. And the staff is great. Looking forward to our next trip back!

It is amazing what hard work and dedication has been done to bring this campground back for people to enjoy again. I cannot say enough good things about the staff at this campground for all their hard work. Don't stay away folks, there is a lot going on here for parents and children to enjoy thanks to the manager, Lisa and her staff. The pool has been completely cleaned and painted, opening soon.

First time visitors to this KOA. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Campground sites have been redone since Hurricane Helene. What has been redone is very nice! Very reasonable pricing. Not far from Asheville area attractions!

The campground has done a wonderful job of rebuilding. Our site was perfect and the staff was extremely helpful. Our group, the Southeast chapter of RVing Women, had a wonderful long weekend at the campground. They have even put in two sewer holes at the new campsites for rigs that have more than one sewer pipe or just to be more convenient. I only wish the pool had been open. Next time!

We enjoyed the area and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Appears they have worked extremely hard in getting the park partially open and functional. While the site was in a beautiful location with the river running behind us, the site was not level front to back, or side to side. Side to side was 3.5 inches difference, and front to back more. Lots of dogs in the park barking.

Very good communication from the staff and friendly. Site was outstanding. Had a back-in site and it was simple to get in and out with 40' 5th wheel.

Beautiful campground. I enjoyed the trails along the river and lake.

This is an outstanding park. The facility is spotless. The staff which with we delt (Christy and Andy) were very welcoming and helpful. The marshy lakes were an unexpected bonus. It was a wonderful place to walk and see birds, wildlife, and plants. There were many activities planned but we were not able to attend as we had other things planned in the area. Thanks for a wonderful stay!!!

It was difficult to see the aftermath of the Hurricane. What has been done so far is very nice and hopefully the entire campground can be restored soon. Doug, the GM went above and beyond to help us when the awning wasn’t retracted and it hit the light pole. Were it not for Doug and his crew, I don’t know what we would have done! Awesome staff!!

All of the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. The showers/bathrooms we used were very clean and well maintained. Walking around the campground was nice with some views of a stream. It was quiet and peaceful and close to Asheville and Black Mountain which we visited while in the area.

I can’t imagine what you went through with the flood. A2 was beautiful and the staff friendly and busy. Great comeback….

This KOA is still recovering from Hurricane Helene, and so far what they have done is just lovely. The riverside spots are still beautiful. The staff was great and the amenities are all we needed. We got in a little past 5, and Andy saw us pull in. He made sure we knew where we were going, and was very welcoming.

Very disappointed that the pool was not opened. Called before checking in and was told they were working “around the click” to get it painted and working. Did not see ANYONE working the whole time we were there! Paid for amenity’s that I did not receive nor was compensated for it!!

Not enough words to properly complement the people and facility! Excellent! Beautiful! Happy people! Good time in spite of rain.

We enjoyed a very nice overnight stay. Check in could not have been any easier and the lead to the site was perfect. This would be a good place to stay to explore the forest more or downtown Asheville.

Absolutely beautiful job rebuilding. The sited are level, the staff pleasant and helpful. VERY close to the Biltmore and downtown, easy in and out. The Swannanoa River runs peacefully through the camp and is soothing and fun to play in. Looking forward to returning!

We stayed in the Deluxe Cabin and it was perfect! So glad to be able to continue to make more great memories here. The tent sites and cabins we normally stay in were taken out by the hurricane along with so much more so it was bitter sweet. It was our first stay back since Helene and they have worked so hard to recover. The mountain community still needs your support so plan your stay here. Thank you to the incredible staff!

This is a KOA campground not a hotel so I didn't rate the "rooms". We've stayed here for a week for a number of years (except when it was hammered by the flood) actually we were there the month previous to the storm. I will make comments about our 2026 stay. The campground is on the way to recovery. They are doing everything possible to provide campers with a great camping experience. We are camping a class A with a pull behind car. We stayed down on the river. (Saw lots of birds this year but no bear like last year.) The staff are very service oriented. We enjoyed taking our dogs around the lake over the bridge. Its not all open yet but gives a good walk. It was enjoyable sitting outside enjoying coffee with no mosquitoes (were from Florida). The campground has done a lot for the kids. It was great to see families doing stuff outside together. This is one of my favorite campgrounds and we will be back in 2027. I want to thank the owners and staff for their hard work getting this place going forward to be the premium campground it was before the flood. ( my opinion)

So great to see the Asheville East KOA back up and running after the devastation of Hurricane Helene. Talked to the new owners and they have plans for additional cabins in the future as they continue to rebuild. Our stay in the Deluxe cabin was great. The kitchenette was super useful with 4 burners, microwave, large refrigerator, and sink. Plus they had a Keurig coffee machine with a few Kcups for free. Bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispenser. Great outdoor deck with table and rocking bench. Kids loved the fire pit area. Will definitely come back and stay again.
