Pretty park! The owners were really nice and staff was great to work with. But the whole place was SUPER crowded with very tight spots, no real outdoor space next to our camper, no where to park our car, and power issues. We had a 30 amp site that was fine mid-week and as soon as Friday hit and others came, we barely had enough power for one AC! Also, the wifi was down for our entire week there.

Very clean and well kept resort. They were very accommodating with our request to change our spot and even provided tech support with cable. The ponds are beautiful and if you can snag a site with a C#, they seem larger. The laundry has brand new machines, which worked really well. Nicely run resort and we will stay there again! Shout out to Todd, who was super helpful.

Narrow RV sites, packed in close to other campers. Couldn't put the awning out when having a fire pit, too close! No wifi or cable for 3 days! Was told there was a wide spread outage, but everywhere we went off site, things were working fine. Store closed early, so if you need anything after 5:30, you're out of luck. On a positive note the lakes and trails were very nice.

Why tell people that the wifi/cable will be up at 8 when it never works. Tell people the truth!! We can handle it

All of the staff was friendly and helpful even for the things out of their control. I believe that this KOA has a new owner and I wish them the very best.

Good seriv, however very, very poor main building bath house. Would be nice to have some hot water, only lasted 4 or so minutes. Maybe modernize plumbing

Always a favorite place to stay when we’re traveling. Friendly staff, lots of shade, nice showers. Electric outlet didn’t work to dry my hair, but everything else was great.

I originally was going to have a tent site, but there came a storm and the staff was very helpful in getting me into a cabin instead. The cabin was really nice and I enjoyed my stay. I was happy to have nice, clean bathrooms and hot showers with really good pressure.

The staff was very professional and friendly. The site was great and easy to set up. Loved the park and all the trees. Easy access from the interstate.

Beautiful site by the river. Main bathrooms could be updated… especially the showers. Husband had cold showers every day for three days.

Typical overpriced KOA. $95/night for basic back-in sites that are so close you can't even extend your awnings is outrageous.

first time there & now a favorite! Loved the concrete patio , stone fire pit ! The Honey Bee Cafe was a great convenience- all the campground employees were super friendly & helpful . The grounds were clean & the stream & lakes were beautiful! We will be back

My wife and I camped with friends for the weekend. This was our first time camping at KOA East Asheville. The campground was clean and well maintained. We did not use the pavilion. We enjoyed the patio site and the fire pit. We will definitely return.

The staff was very pleasant, ready to help, lots of smiles. The grounds were very well kept, no trash anywhere. The trails around the lakes were easy to walk. Sites are well marked easy to get into. Nice to have a quick breakfast place for the mornings. Playground was well kept as was the Gaga ball pit.

KOA manager was able to accommodate a spot change with the best outcome. Enjoyed being by the river. Look forward to staying again.

Customer Service lacking in Office.. More than one employee with attitude upon being asked questions when checking future accommodations and rates.. Called back after returning home to question why my card was charged..as of yet I have had no return call as to why!!!..One of the person's mentioned above is who answered when I called she was as abrupt on the phone as in person..Still no call by G

Really enjoyed our site at the lake. Only problem was the traffic noise from I-40 detracted greatly from the setting. But other than that it was a nice stay. The staff is polite and professional! Really great people!

The grey haired gentleman and the check in desk was so friendly and welcoming. Lake front cabin was awesome for fishing. Great stay!!!

I was only there for 1 night but was very impressed with the campground. Well maintained. Lots of activities. Beautiful location. I will be back for a longer stay!

A great experience. The staff are all so nice and efficient. The campground is very clean and well kept. This is actually our favorite KOA!! And we have been to KOAs from Pennsylvania to Montana and everywhere in between! There were do many activities! We brought out 2 grandchildren and we all had so much fun! We will definitely return!

We stayed in the Deluxe Cabin and it was perfect! So glad to be able to continue to make more great memories here. The tent sites and cabins we normally stay in were taken out by the hurricane along with so much more so it was bitter sweet. It was our first stay back since Helene and they have worked so hard to recover. The mountain community still needs your support so plan your stay here. Thank you to the incredible staff!

This is a KOA campground not a hotel so I didn't rate the "rooms". We've stayed here for a week for a number of years (except when it was hammered by the flood) actually we were there the month previous to the storm. I will make comments about our 2026 stay. The campground is on the way to recovery. They are doing everything possible to provide campers with a great camping experience. We are camping a class A with a pull behind car. We stayed down on the river. (Saw lots of birds this year but no bear like last year.) The staff are very service oriented. We enjoyed taking our dogs around the lake over the bridge. Its not all open yet but gives a good walk. It was enjoyable sitting outside enjoying coffee with no mosquitoes (were from Florida). The campground has done a lot for the kids. It was great to see families doing stuff outside together. This is one of my favorite campgrounds and we will be back in 2027. I want to thank the owners and staff for their hard work getting this place going forward to be the premium campground it was before the flood. ( my opinion)

So great to see the Asheville East KOA back up and running after the devastation of Hurricane Helene. Talked to the new owners and they have plans for additional cabins in the future as they continue to rebuild. Our stay in the Deluxe cabin was great. The kitchenette was super useful with 4 burners, microwave, large refrigerator, and sink. Plus they had a Keurig coffee machine with a few Kcups for free. Bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispenser. Great outdoor deck with table and rocking bench. Kids loved the fire pit area. Will definitely come back and stay again.
