Wonderfully stay. Everyone was so nice and helpful. You're doing a nice job recovering from the hurricane. I stayed there before the storm and it is sad to see so much damage in the area.

Quiet location but limited services. Portable bathrooms/showers. No laundry. Dog park was good and the campground was clean.

We spent 5 days at the KOA. It is surrounded by mountains giving it a beautiful view. The staff were friendly and even shared their stories of Hurricane Helene. It was a fun place with plenty to do.

We had a nice site on the Creekside, A2. The fire pit area is on a big slant, so our chairs felt very unsteady on the slope. The back portion with the lakes was closed due to hurricane Helene, but once that’s complete the park will be very nice.

We stayed in a deluxe cabin and stay was very nice. The campground did not offer wifi and thus cabin did not have a tv however it was nice to stay without the luxuries most campers like to have. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. We had privacy, DC3. The staff were very nice to work with since we stayed 1 week. We also saw plans to expand the campground.

Still have work to do after the flood a year ago. Easy in/out. Level gravel site with FHU. Sewer hook-up in rear. Easy to navigate roads. Good home base if visiting Asheville, Blue Ridge Parkway, or mountain area. There are some long term folks. Would stay here again.

Very nice park. Staff were very nice and helpful!

The only thing that I didn’t like was the noise from the highway. This was my first stay at KOA, I stayed in a rustic cabin and it was very nice. The bathhouse and restrooms were clean and functional. I stayed here as part of my Blue Ridge Parkway motorcycle trip this year. Would definitely stay in a KOA cabin again somewhere. Thanks for a great alternative to a motel room.

Sites were well maintained with new tables & firerings. One shower had a faucet that was lose and not working well. It was hard to wash your hair while holding the faucet on with one hand and holding the wand with the other hand because it won’t spray the right direction otherwise. One morning two out of three toilets were not working.

Perfect stay!! Great service!

Glad to see you back open. Had a good stay and could not praise you more for the staff. They are always top notch. Couple suggestion. Make the gravel lots just a little wider. Camper steps on many units I saw, came down on the edge making last step to ground a little high, Miss the screw type sewer outlets. Fire pits to high. Only campground I have seen do this. Keep up the good work.

We stayed in spot A–08 it’s a wonderful spot with a great view of the river, Michelle was very helpful in the office and it is a quiet well located campaign

There was a bounce pad, playground, corn hole and ball game. The sites were a good size. It is still under construction from Helene, but still a good place to go camping. The internet service was terrible…the signal would randomly drop. Overall, good place to camp.

We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. All utilities worked well with two sewer connections for easy hookup no matter where your sewer connections are located. Park is being rebuilt after being washed away by hurricane in Sept. 2024 so everything is new. Would definitely stay here again!

This was our first to return to Asheville East KOA to show our support since their unfortunate devastation from Hurricane Helene. We were pleased to see the great work Don and Tina have been able to get done and the nice, roomy sites they have created. They treated us well. A special shoutout to the maintenance man (didn’t get his name). He, too, was very helpful, hard working and I observed goo

We were glad to see the campground coming back great place to stay restaurants close and the Blue Ridge parkway although not completely open but still beautiful when we saw on the KOA app that they were reopening we decided to make it a stop on our fall trip were happy we did.

We enjoyed the campground but wish that the sites had more privacy.

We stayed in the Deluxe Cabin and it was perfect! So glad to be able to continue to make more great memories here. The tent sites and cabins we normally stay in were taken out by the hurricane along with so much more so it was bitter sweet. It was our first stay back since Helene and they have worked so hard to recover. The mountain community still needs your support so plan your stay here. Thank you to the incredible staff!

This is a KOA campground not a hotel so I didn't rate the "rooms". We've stayed here for a week for a number of years (except when it was hammered by the flood) actually we were there the month previous to the storm. I will make comments about our 2026 stay. The campground is on the way to recovery. They are doing everything possible to provide campers with a great camping experience. We are camping a class A with a pull behind car. We stayed down on the river. (Saw lots of birds this year but no bear like last year.) The staff are very service oriented. We enjoyed taking our dogs around the lake over the bridge. Its not all open yet but gives a good walk. It was enjoyable sitting outside enjoying coffee with no mosquitoes (were from Florida). The campground has done a lot for the kids. It was great to see families doing stuff outside together. This is one of my favorite campgrounds and we will be back in 2027. I want to thank the owners and staff for their hard work getting this place going forward to be the premium campground it was before the flood. ( my opinion)

So great to see the Asheville East KOA back up and running after the devastation of Hurricane Helene. Talked to the new owners and they have plans for additional cabins in the future as they continue to rebuild. Our stay in the Deluxe cabin was great. The kitchenette was super useful with 4 burners, microwave, large refrigerator, and sink. Plus they had a Keurig coffee machine with a few Kcups for free. Bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispenser. Great outdoor deck with table and rocking bench. Kids loved the fire pit area. Will definitely come back and stay again.
