This was our first experience at a koa where the escort didn’t offer to assist backing in to our site. He just pointed in the general direction and disappeared leaving us floundering to get into position. We usually have a pull thru but even then the escort stops to make sure we are happy.

Beautiful stay, bathrooms were clean. The only thing was we thought there would be grates in the fire pits for cooking. Thank you!

We had an amazing time while the fall colors were beautiful. This KOA is very family friendly with a lot of activities planned for kids. The staff leading the activities were enthusiastic and fun. They even closed down car traffic on the entire campground for the safety of kids during some activities. Everyone on the staff was very friendly and helpful. All facilities were clean.

Had a great time while staying at the Asheville East KOA. It gave us access to Black Mountain and the surrounding area. The only negative was that it was noisy from the highway (70) and the loud trains right across the street. We had three couples with RV’s during this stay and were able to stay fairly close to each other. We were not willing however to pay the $25 fee for guaranteeing a spot.

A 2 night stopover on our way to Florida. Swarming with kids and dogs celebrating Halloween. So much fun and well run. Great amenities. Close to Black Mountain. Will definitely return.

The staff was super friendly & the grounds around the two lakes were great for walking. The live entertainment on Friday 10/27 was awesome! We will be back!

The campground itself was great. We stayed in a delux cabin but with no cooktop, but a gas grill. The downside is the campground is very near a busy road and busy train track. Our kids loved the nearby playground and we all enjoyed walking by the river and around the lake. If you want some quiet though, pick a site in the back by the lake. The proximity to the noisy traffic is my only complaint.

Good place to stay overnight but I would not want to stay there a long time. Most of the sites are crammed next to each other. “Lakes” are really small ponds that are full of various gross plant life. Staff at office act like they hate their job bathrooms not that clean.

We loved the lakeside lots. We know that our experience would have been less than had we not stayed on the lake side of the campground. The bathrooms were also very clean and as a family we appreciated the unisex bathrooms and individual shower stalls.

Dog people: trails around the lakes, open grassy areas by the river and lots of great sniffing spots. One of the best laid out KOA’s we ever been to.

The park was very clean and offered a lot of activities for the kids. We had a Lakeside spot and the views were amazing. Highly recommend this KOA!!! We will definitely be back.

We had a nice time staying in the cabin, but did miss having a small, foldable table to eat at inside because it was too cold to eat outside. Also, the bed was unnecessarily large and took up space that could have made room for clothes and other items. We did appreciate having hot water and a mini fridge. I would just add that the KOA should be participating in a recycling program.

We were in the E-F sites and loved that they backed into a hill. More privacy. Bathrooms clean. Nice activities on the week. Great location for going out and hiking the blue ridge area.

Wonderful place during Halloween and month of October. Lots of activities for the kids. Great decorations. Staff always cleaning up campground. Location is great for visiting several small quaint areas. Great restaurants in Black Mountain

We stayed 6 nights and had a wonderful visit... campground was clean, staff friendly and very helpful with places to visit. We loved that there were fun Halloween activities I definitely will recommend this KOA and we will be back...the space we had was a little crowded but it all worked out.

Typical KOA, relying on brand rather than providing quality accommodations. In this day of rv camping paved spaces are a must, gravel is for low end campgrounds!

Wasn’t as clean as I like as I have OCD. Toilet made terrible noise when flushed. Loved the walking trail around the ponds. Didn’t expect the RR tracks right behind our cabin along with busy highway. All in all, a fun time. Music from pavilion for Halloween party was a bit annoying. We will probably stay again sometime.

Please clean all the fishing line from the lake! Is was very disturbing to see so much pollution in the lake. It was all over the edge of the lake right at our campsite The amount of fishing line was appalling and it was just one spot. Other than that we had a GREAT trip we absolutely loved it!
