The pool and lazy river was great. The bathrooms were clean. The lake was very mucky and a lot of algae, so we didn't swim. The camp site was horrible! We camped in a non electric tent site and I've never had a worse site. They shouldn't even have them available. The whole site is on a hill. Not ideal for a tent or anything for that matter. Would not tent camp here again.

My family rented a primitive site. Sites were close together and we ended up next to a large family that had a physical domestic issue occur and another who left their dogs alone in the tent most of the day. One dog escaped ended up in my tent. I placed the dog back into the correct tent and the dog began to attempt another escape. I made a complaint to the staff and got no resolution.

We all enjoyed our stay and plan to come back as soon as we can! Very nice park and everyone is friendly. Lots of things to keep the kids busy.

It’s a great campsite with lots of loud activities, if that’s what you’re into. Our lot was a stones throw away from a corn hole tournament with hundreds of people, that went until 11:00 with music blasting. It’s not what we had in mind when we over paid for tent camping.

The bathrooms, pool, campsites, and grounds were all very clean and well kept. There were lots of activities and it was quiet at night. Great experience with our stay!

Alot of things to do, I would only recommend that the pool gets cleaned more and more chlorine added through the week. When I got there at the beginning of the week it was clean and clear, but by Friday and Saturday it was very dirty and you couldn’t see the bottom anymore.

Every thing was great except when I rented the golf cart for Saturday, they did not tell us we couldn’t get it till 1 pm. If they was the case we would have not rented it.

The person who checked us in (Darlene) was v.nuce and found a good site for us (tent) near a tree hedge. When I asked about water spigot a colleague said "No water! They're primitive!!"For that person's info:there are water spigots where campers can fill a reservoir/bottle to bring to their campsite to cook or clean bird poo off picnic table.The nearest is by thee canine park,across from site#208

Perfect spot for camping with tons of activities for kids if all ages. The campground was very well maintained.

It was our families first time here and we loved it! ONLY downfall was being under the street light in the primitive tent sites. All the employees were so nice and their events were so fun!! We will be back.

Only my second time staying at a KOA campground. I didn't realize how the first holiday weekend of the summer and school being done would affect the area. This campground was very pleasant with the staff being exceptional. I had a tent site, as I was a solo camper in my van. I was pleased with it, the restrooms/showers were maintained thru out my entire stay. Great for kids of all ages.

It was a one night stay so I didn’t get to see much. I arrived at 3:30-4 and the store closed at 5. My primitive tent site was fine. More or less level.

Pool was filthy and couldn’t even use it. Loud all night long and felt very unsafe.

If you're looking for a quiet and relaxing place to stay this is not it! Seasonal campers fly around on golf carts like they own the place, they have "parades" where the golf carts bomb around with music blaring honking their horns at 10:45pm. For anyone with small kids I'd suggest going to Yogi's right down the road. It's more peaceful, quiet, have more kid friendly activities and overall nicer.

Bathrooms could use some updating but not the worst I’ve stayed at. The loud music and partying at the pavilion next to the upgraded tent area was a little rough with having kids. The music was very loud until about 10:30/10:45pm which was hard with kids trying to fall asleep. The store had nice things and most of what you could want. Pool area was nice just a tad chilly water temp.

We were thrilled to find out this KOA is open in January, as we were in a pinch needing a place to stay with hook ups. They were very friendly when we called for info. They had everything all set up and super easy to pick your spot and settle in. Very accommodating and friendly. Will definitely stay here again when we are in the area!

Our pipes in our cabin froze (in December) and the team went above and beyond to correct the issue for us! They did everything possible to correct it, and they were super professional and nice when I first reported it, and they got on it ASAP and offered a discount for our inconvenience without me having to ask or complain. When the issue couldn't be resolved in a timely manner, they gave us an upgrade in another cabin and comped our stay. The whole team was great and even though the situation sucked and inconvenienced us, they were obviously doing everything they could possibly do which included digging under the cabin, using heaters on the pipes, and a camera to diagnose the problem. This was our second stay here and we will absolutely be returning!

Great place to get away for the weekend from Chicago. The amenities are good for kids and I love that it's open year-round. My only small complaint is the golf cart traffic on the weekends during the summer.
