Weekend getaway with another couple. Enjoyed the late check out option on Memorial Day.

The manager with hearing aids was very rude to my girlfriend. We got there late and the office was closed and we got there around 10:30 the next morning to pay and she was extremely rude to my gf about how we hadn’t paid yet. We had camper troubles early that we were trying to get taken care off

Had my first experience at a KOA and it went pretty much as I expected. Being Memorial Day weekend, it was packed with people having a good time. Being by myself, I participated in both kids' crafts, listened to the band and went to Boozy Bingo. I had no issues at the camp but believe there are not enough bathrooms/showers for the number of units that they have. Food at store is way overpriced.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. We understand our convenience store pricing isnt for everyone but always provide directions to the dollar general or walmart in town for guests who dont mind the drive off park. We hope you got lucky at the boozy bingo event and enjoyed our holiday crafts

What a great campground. The amenities are fantastic. If you have older folks or people with mobility issues, a golf cart is very recommended.

We love Hogback Lake. The campground has plenty of activities and everyone is super friendly. We always get a lake spot to enjoy the view.

We love staying with y'all! Fell in love with our camp site this weekend! And will be requesting that spot again for sure! Thank you for a great time!

the 339 corner spot is definitely one of our most requested back in sites! As close to the pool as you can get with a great patio and grill.

We were really looking forward to our stay at Hogback Lake KOA, but it didn’t live up to expectations. We booked and paid for a site that was supposed to be on the fishing pond, but were placed next to a ditch that feeds the pond. Our site was also right next to a busy highway, so traffic noise was so loud it took away from any sense of peace or nature. We won't be booking again.

The site you selected was not a fish pond site, we offer a great selection of 50 30 full hookup sites as well as deluxe patio sites adjacent to the pond. We hope you travel safe. Give us a call if you wish to rebook in the future so we can find the best site to meet your needs!

We've been here many times before and will be back. The only negative this time around was the amount of garbage in the fishing pond area in the front of the campground. I've never seen it this dirty before and having it cleaned up would have gone a long way as we were camping right on the water.

We do appreciate your feedback. This season has been unusually cold and windy. Keeping the pond clean from the nearby campers and roads is a full time job this year. We hope it didnt detract too much. We look forward to our fish stock arriving in june as well.

wish there was a restroom in the game room that was open later than the restroom in the store. Prefer a bathhouse closer to the office.

The only thing was the fire wood was wet and had a hard time getting it to burn

We are glad you had a great overall experience. We do our best to keep our firewood covered and vented. Morning dew can definitely lead to a slow start on a campfire. On your next visit make sure you check out our many campfire starting options from traditional wax or lighter fluid to pull starts.

Rented a pet friendly cabin and it is very clean! It was stocked up with everything we needed esp in the kitchen good for 8 people! Linens, pillow are toiletries are provided as well which is a plus!

Always have a good time, lots of activities for kids and adults. The camp store being closed at 5pm on a holiday weekend was inconvenient. It is a pain to have to drive into town if you need ice or anything else.

Memorial day weekend we did keep the store open until 8 on friday and saturday. Sunday we had an after hours team member until 1130 up front for wood and ice. Like many businesses staffing requires constant effort but we are happy to have the largest staff in years now in 2025.

The campground was very nice. Our site was fantastic. Kids at the bounce pillow and Gaga ball pit got a little too violent for the little kids. Parents don’t watch their kids. That was my only complaint.

Very nice campground, our site was fairly close to hwy which we weren't aware of when booking fishing pond site but it was level, clean and easy to maneuver. It has a lot of seasonal people who hold the lots closest to Hog Lake. We saw the same Golf carts cruising the park all day long but roads are paved, so wasn't dusty. We prefer quieter State and Ntl parks for our camping.

Our campsite was nice, but a bit noisy from adjacent road. We depend on having good restrooms, but found these to be not so nice, Soiled from other campers. The campground was too big for the restrooms provided.

Stayed 2 nights. It was not busy at all. Lots of open spaces. Was put in a spot with NO shade and right next to a busy road. Had a dog and had to keep moving picnic table to get shade for her. It was very noisy all day and night with the semi trucks zooming by. Also the bathroom nearest us did not open until 10 am!!! Insane! Had to walk much farther to use a bathroom before 10 am.

Our Bathrooms are open 24 hours a day, we do close them 1 at a time between 9am and 10am for morning deep cleaning as posted on the doors. We do our best to provide clean restrooms for our campers.

We love coming to Angola Koa. We have come every year since KOA took over the property. Each time we come there are new improvements like the newly renovated bathrooms. We will be coming for years!

Very nice campground. Site I stayed at for one night was very uneven, but we are all prepared for that I hope. Would stay here again if It wasn't so far from my home in Massachusetts. Didn't get a chance to check out the lake but everything seems very nice. It's a big campground! Nice store with very helpful people.

his was the perfect location for our one night stay as we drove across country. It gave our dog plenty of room to run! The sites are large and the KOA is well maintained. There are lots of things today, including going out to a lake. If I ever come this way again, I will be staying at this KOA.

We were to stay 4 nights but my husband had a medical emergency and ended up in the hospital and we could not get refunded for the other two nights we had paid for, we will not be back

The room was as stated on the website. It was clean and everything worked. Parking was easy. They even put dog dishes and a mat for our dog in the cabin - nice touch. The office staff was very polite and helpful.

The music was BLASTING until 1045 with my tent right there I wanted to be on 205 near my friend's but was told that spot was full all weekend. Which it wasnt

The campground itself definitely has potential! I think the Angola Indiana area is starting to grow and prosper, but the seasonal campers versus the KOA campers might be a problem at some point. The seasonal people feel like they own the place versus those who just come in for a few days or a week. The pool area is really nice, the beach is a nice touch and you can see they are making improvements

We paid extra to be on the fishing pond and had a reservation stating the same. We ended up on a ditch where the water was 3 to 4 inches deep and about 12 inches wide. We had stayed there before and I knew that the site they gave us wasn’t on the pond. I asked the lady checking us in about it. She got the person in charge and she said that site was considered on the pond. Kind of a lie!!

We stayed in a cabin over memorial weekend. Very impressed with all there was to do for the kids (even with crummy weather). Nice facilities!! our cabin was so spacious and VERY clean!! The activities were so fun. Everyone we ran into was so welcoming including all the staff!! We really appreciated feeling at home for the weekend! Definitely plan to be back to enjoy with warmer weather!! If you have kids/teenagers this place is a must!!!

We come here a couple times every year with family. Has a ton of stuff to do for kids, including lake with beach, lazy river and pool, jumping pads and a couple of playground, fishing peers etc. We love it here!

PROS: Looking for a great spot for kids to have a blast during the day? This is THE place. My son is almost nine and he loved the pool with lazy river, the activities (golf cart candy parade and tie dye) and just biking and hanging out with neighbor kids. There are so many wonderful choices for children and I value that! I found the bathrooms to be fairly clean for the amount of people camping on this weekend. CONS: The site we were given (733) was an actual nightmare to park our rig on. Backing in, even for someone skilled, was horrible. There were bricks in the road (to prevent water ponding) and it popped our tire. There was not a way around them backing into the site. We were not given an alternative site and that was infuriating. Do NOT choose site 733 if you want to start your weekend off peacefully. The lady at the front that checked us in even jokingly said “geez I hope you don't get stuck trying to get into that spot” but I had no clue what she meant until we saw the spot. What a shame. The second con is the noise. Many of the sites are seasonal and the guests have golf carts. It makes walking around, especially with littles on bikes, not only unnerving but downright dangerous. With that said, they cruise around, music blasted, until quiet hours which begin at 11pm. With an exhausted kiddo at 9pm, the noise can be a lot. It's too much truthfully. If you're hoping for a little bit of peace, you'll be sad here. If you love a good ruckus and have kids up super late-this is your dream spot. Again, don't choose site 733 though. You've been warned. 🙃
