We had a great time! We had a lakefront site, which we loved. It was very peaceful and nice to be able to fish and put the paddleboard in right from our site. Our kids loved the pool, lazy river, and inflatables at the lake. The traffic was loud by the pool, so I wouldn’t recommend a site up there. But we loved our stay and will be back!

Great staff and facilities. We loved all the activities, water and campfires!

Clean, well maintained park with level, spacious sites. We plan to return. Highly recommend.

Very nice KOA! Enjoyed our site by the ‘Fishing Pond’. Nice site size, flat which makes it easy to set up camp. My interaction with the staff very good, they are all very friendly and eager to help. Pool was refreshing and very well kept. Lastly, WI-FI is much better than in the past.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Wifi isnt perfect but we are working on continuous improvements.

We really enjoyed our stay, even after the rude people in the cabin next to us. But mgmt took care of it. The only down side was the boat/cart rentals seemed a bit steep to pay for compared to other koas. And the cabin price seemed a bit much, but I feel they always are no matter which koa it is. Lol But there was plenty to do and my kids had an absolute fabulous time. More to say but out of roo

Great people, great KOA! The only reason they didn’t get a 5 rating was because this campground feels more like a town than a campground with all its long term patrons. We felt a little bit like outsiders there. No other complaints at all. It’s a great place to stay.

Overall a great place! Love being able to have the fenced in doggy area. Very walkable to all activities and amenities. Showers and bathrooms were clean and well kept. Dan was a great help when we ran into golf cart trouble. Golf cart rentals are a little expensive but other than that, no complaints. Ladies at the front desk are polite and helpful. Would love to stay here again!

Always happy to help a camper in need! We appreciate your kind review

It was a quiet weekend early in the camping season and exactly what we were looking for. We had a Paw Pen and patio and it was fantastic for our dogs.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Weekdays are very quiet and relaxed on the park. Weekends are a completely different vibe!

Nice campground but very noisy in the back at the “premium” patio sites as there is a major road that runs behind it. Premium patio sites are expensive and based on previous experience with them this was not that. The patio is small and the fire pit is built into the patio which significantly limits the ability to use the patio. I would not get this site if we return. Amenities were excell

Stayed overnight. Raining so limited activities. Have 2 dogs so used dog park as it was close to our site. Owner was very helpful in providing 50 watt power. Site was easy to access n exit.

Only issue...other guests walking through our campsite instead of using the road...

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Koa has a great camping etiquette guide at https://koa.com/blog/guide-to-camping-etiquette/ Cutting thru sites is #9. We are happy that aside from that guest you stay was enjoyable.

The only complaint would be is the 50 amp service wasn't working and we didn't know it so it drained our batteries durning the night, they did recharge the next day

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We didnt get a note about this during your stay, We are sorry to hear you had a camping issue, We have staff on call 24 hours a day for any utility emergencies.

Had a great time!! Will definitely be back. I had to bring back information for my co-workers since I talked about it from my previous visits.
Jun 07, 2025
WiFi went down in our section of the park early in our stay and never came back up. The park is big with over 900 sites. We were given instructions to our site but it was nearly impossible to back in from that approach. Fortunately, another camper got me turned around. We had to leave a day early for medical reasons but a request for a partial refund was declined. Kind of harsh.

Campsites are nice. Grounds are kept beautifully. Loved loved loved the dog park (oh... would be nice if there was a bench in there). Overall would come back in a heartbeat.
Jun 05, 2025
Campsite is nice and offers a lot for kids. My problem is that you allow two cars on the campsite but only one gate pass. So the secondary car always has to walk into the office and get integrated about the pass and the campsite. You want to charge $10 for a visitor to our campsite but you have no system of verifying who is the camper and who is the visitor. Just the campers a 2nd gate pass.
Jun 05, 2025
Nice clean park. The lake was great, the new lake floats are so much fun for the kids. Pool was fantastic ! The bad- traffic nose from the Highway was horrible at night, kept us awake. Getting to our site was not great with a 42 foot fifth wheel. We were in the back by the fields and had to back our camper out of the site and back down the road when we left bc the curves are tight.

The Manager (did not catch his name) and David greeted us at the gate at 8:30 pm and helped us with finding our cabin and parking our vehicle and attached boat, even though it was well after the office was closed. The next morning we needed some breakfast essentials and even though it was way before the store opening time, the Manager saw us and opened the store early. Does this guy ever sleep? :)

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Glad we could help you out, I like to sleep in the winter when the park only operates 40 sites. ~Dan, The Manager :)

Grounds well kept. Pool was nice, but chilly. had a few minor issues we had a hard time getting ahold of office or afterhours line. Tried a few times for a few different issues that arose, but no one answered and noone responded. We ended up driving back to office for help on a few occasions such as outlet was fried upon arrival and had to leave once afterhours for assistance since noone answered.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are sorry you had difficulty reaching us after hours, we offer a direct after hours line to someone on call on park as well as calling the office after hours can transfer you to an emergency attendant.

I would have given a 5 except for the placing of the firepits where we were. Too close to motor home, especially if awning out. Place is exceptionally clean and well taken care of. Plenty of activities but did not see a calendar of events anywhere. Will be back.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are happy you enjoyed your stay, we offer activity guides at all bath house display boards, the office and koa.com. You can look ahead on koa.com to see what the main activities will be during your stay before you even arrive! Travel safe we look forward to your next visit.

Camped here several times, The new bathrooms, lake inflatables, and general park upkeep are great. Looks like they got in some new staff members and getting results. Dan, Lisa, Ben and Sandy are still there and still doing great things for the campground. Came for ninja weekend and they had a huge inflatable course for the kids and adults set on the front lawn. Make sure you check the weekly guide

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Love this awesome tip. We have different weekends all season long, We only repeat water wars and halloween weekends, two of our camper favorites!

Very clean and lots of things for kiddos!

50 Amp power died while we were at supper. had to reset the power upon returni Also, after waking the next morning noticed 50-amp power was off again in RV. 50-amp Breaker was tripped at outside pedestal (5:30 AM). I then used my 30-amp cord to restore AC power to RV. then called RV night telephone to report issue. Tech came 7 am and replaced 50 amp breaker. Washer control panel was destroyed

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We appreciate your feedback however as discussed recommend having your rig serviced as it continuously experienced electrical issues, a breaker is a safety device. Your washer may have been the reason the breaker was consistently tripping. We wish you safe travels with your current equipment.

TV didn't work in our cabin (306) and it was unfortunate that the game supplies needed for horseshoes, ping pong and ladder ball weren't readily available like the corn hole supplies. Otherwise, we loved this campground and our stay here!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We just added our new cornhole bag boxs, your review helps ensure we continue adding great amenities like storage for the horse shoes. ladderball, pingpong, bocce ball,

We loved our stay in the RED deluxe cabin by the lake! It was nice and quiet. You have a wonderful facility. Keep up the great work!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Great sunrises, and quiet in the corner, that red cabin is a camper favorite, too bad we only have the one red cabin on the lake. We look forward to your next stay!

We had site #324 in the front. We liked the site, except for the road noise. Except for that it was great. As a matter of fact, we looked into monthly and seasonal rates for the future. Will definitely come back.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We appreciate your kind review and are glad you found us as a great place to spend your time. We love both our nightly guests as well as our long term campers, combined they bring a great balance and energy to the campground.

The Fishing creek needs to be cleaned up. There was a lot of garbage on top of the seaweed along the shore on both sides. I was also surprised at the hours of the store for a holiday weekend. Sunday night to close at 5 seemed early. Other than that we had a fantastic time of relaxing. Thanks for a great weekend!!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Like many local businesses staffing can be an issue, we did have firewood and ice sales at the front store until 1130pm.

Beautiful place! I wish someone would escort you to your site. We got quite lost and it’s not easy maneuvering with a pop up. Text messages would be a nice reminder when planned events are about to occur. We called the office and after hours office line…no one answered or called back. Thank God a nice camper helped us out.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Many of our sites do have required escorts however we are always happy to escort any camper who asks. You made the trip this far, we can always help you the last stretch thru the park. We responded to all voicemails promptly, and apologize if we missed your call.

We stayed in a cabin over memorial weekend. Very impressed with all there was to do for the kids (even with crummy weather). Nice facilities!! our cabin was so spacious and VERY clean!! The activities were so fun. Everyone we ran into was so welcoming including all the staff!! We really appreciated feeling at home for the weekend! Definitely plan to be back to enjoy with warmer weather!! If you have kids/teenagers this place is a must!!!

We come here a couple times every year with family. Has a ton of stuff to do for kids, including lake with beach, lazy river and pool, jumping pads and a couple of playground, fishing peers etc. We love it here!

PROS: Looking for a great spot for kids to have a blast during the day? This is THE place. My son is almost nine and he loved the pool with lazy river, the activities (golf cart candy parade and tie dye) and just biking and hanging out with neighbor kids. There are so many wonderful choices for children and I value that! I found the bathrooms to be fairly clean for the amount of people camping on this weekend. CONS: The site we were given (733) was an actual nightmare to park our rig on. Backing in, even for someone skilled, was horrible. There were bricks in the road (to prevent water ponding) and it popped our tire. There was not a way around them backing into the site. We were not given an alternative site and that was infuriating. Do NOT choose site 733 if you want to start your weekend off peacefully. The lady at the front that checked us in even jokingly said “geez I hope you don't get stuck trying to get into that spot” but I had no clue what she meant until we saw the spot. What a shame. The second con is the noise. Many of the sites are seasonal and the guests have golf carts. It makes walking around, especially with littles on bikes, not only unnerving but downright dangerous. With that said, they cruise around, music blasted, until quiet hours which begin at 11pm. With an exhausted kiddo at 9pm, the noise can be a lot. It's too much truthfully. If you're hoping for a little bit of peace, you'll be sad here. If you love a good ruckus and have kids up super late-this is your dream spot. Again, don't choose site 733 though. You've been warned. 🙃
