One of the nicest KOA's we've stayed at. Great staff. Exceptionally clean. Great location for area. While clean and functional, showers and baths are due for a remodel.

K away is always wonderful especially in a pinch. My slide out was coming out of my RV and I had to stop get on electric and fix it and they were able to be so helpful supportive and accommodating. I’m a KOA elites and have been since 2021. There’s a reason for that. Greg Kayway make sure you stop at the Carlsbad K Way.

Very nice showers, restrooms, laundry. Staff were super friendly, check-in very nice and informative. Small dog park was clean and so useful. There is a gift shop with camping needs and souvenirs. All in all a very nice 2-day stay for us.

Fantastic hosts. Squeezed us in after not finding a place anywhere due to the eclipse coming up. Facilities were very nice and clean. I would come back if we are ever in the area.

Fantastic staff! Wonderful facilities. They even hosted an Easter Egg Hunt for children and Sunday morning services. This is a must stay if ever in this location.

Sandy & Kelly run a great KOA. They are always helpful in helping campers find interesting places to visit in the area & accommodating to our needs! A very nice place to stay!

The campground was clean and well landscaped. They let us borrow sleds for White Sands. Their playground and playroom were fun for our 4 and 10 year old. The dog park was nice for our dog. The sites were very close together. The road noise was somewhat loud at night. The staff was great.

Men’s shower stall 1 needs to have the mixing valve replaced. It only put out a dribble of hot water or powerful cold stream.

It was a very short trip but we had a good time. We used it as base camp for our exploring the countryside. The staff was so nice and helpful. We don't usually stay at a campsite, but would come back again!

This KOA has a great staff, a clean laundry room, and a good location in town. The mountains are beautiful, and this KOA is close to the White Sands, Space Museum, wineries, and Holloman AFB. We're never disappointed in this place.

We had a great stay. All the staff we encountered were friendly. The campground is incredibly clean. Loved the patio with decorative wall around. One of the best KOAs we've stayed at.

Very spacious site E6. Privacy fences. Close to White Sands NP. Stayed here mid-Feb 2024. Pull-through FHU 50 amp. All gravel. Site #E6 General: Nice store and grounds. Easy access. Well-maintained with updated facilities. Staff: Staff is great! Owners are caring and polite. Sites: Spacious gravel sites with some privacy from fences. Large rock gravel. Campground Road: Gravel road. Campground WiFi: Could not always connect to campground WiFi Grounds: Clean and maintained really well. Bathrooms/Showers: Women's showers were really nice—newly renovated! Private locked rooms. The men's showers were old and a bit smelly/dirty. Stall-style showers with a locking door to the stall. Laundry: Really nice newly renovated facility and the machines worked very well. Dried and washed well. Location: Gas, groceries, and restaurants all within 5-10 min. 20 min from White Sands NP. Near highway: No. You do turn off of the main road (route, not an interstate) and go back a few blocks so minimal road noise. Near train: Yes. Train is close but not immediately connected to the KOA. Cell using booster: AT&T (2 of 4 bars —4G) and Verizon (3 of 4 bars sometimes 4 bars—4G) worked well enough. Worked on VPN just fine and have Zoom meetings. Small moments of lag when using AT&T. Could stream as well on both networks.
