We rented a small cabin. We loved it. The mattress provided were thin, but we added extra to make them work.

We love KOA for location and convenience. We stayed in a cabin. The bathhouse was close by and very clean. The couple who run this KOA ate awesome. The camp is less than 20 minutes from White Sands NP. We highly recommend this park.

Wonderful KOA! We stayed in a cabin - super cute, clean and exactly what we needed! Bathrooms were clean, employees were extremely friendly, and loved the amenities. Great jumping off point for white sands national park.

KOA staff was very accommodating when needed to change the dates of our stay at the last minute. The cabin,grounds,and bathrooms were very clean. Laundry room was great.

Very comfortable though I wish there was a bathroom in the cabin as they were quite a way away. Other than that though, it was great. Clean, comfy, very helpful and pleasant staff.

The check in agent was friendly, helpful and thorough. The store was thoughtfully stocked. Both the bathrooms and the camping cabin were immaculate. Staying here was fun and easy.

Daughter and son in law stayed in a cabin. Cabin was cozy and warm but no running water. Bathrooms need some cleaning.

Take pillows and sheets/blankets for cabin. I had camping gear in my vehicle so had all I needed. Cabin #2 needs better lighting. Was hard to get some much needed reading in. Nice bathrooms. Would stay here again!

Very friendly and helpful staff! They have filtered water in the lobby which is a plus in not having to purchase water. You can also borrow a sled from the office if going to White Sands National park. The only down side was it is right next to the train tracks and we were woken up a few times in the night from the horn.

A very nice campground with a few irritating “features.” The worst was the A/C in one of the cabins (K-2)… it was terrible, not keeping the single room at a comfortable temperature. We would have been happy with 75°. We were told that a new one was coming — after our stay. We had visited this KOA last October and found the site to be very nice. We like the cabins for the convenience of not having to tow a unit. We have a place to hub and enjoy the local national parks and BLM sites. The availability of coffee is nice and the large air conditioned rec area was nice and welcome during the heat of July. We will include the Alamogordo KOA in future trips.

A beautiful facility with clean restrooms and a well furnished activity room. I really enjoyed the landscaping on the grounds featuring beautiful specimens of cactus.

The hosts were so lovely, and everything was so clean and well maintained. We really appreciated the use of sleds for the park! The grounds are in a pretty urban setting for what I imagine “camping” to be, but we were safe and secluded and well-located for our visit to White Sands. Very grateful for the care the hosts took in making everything as nice as possible.

Such a great KOA! We stayed in a camping cabin that was very comfortable during a heat wave! The little flower pots out front were a nice touch. The pool was wonderful and open during the hours you'd want it open. The extra little touches like popcorn, sand dune sleds and restaurant recommendations, etc. were wonderful. Sandy was an excellent and friendly help with anything we requested! Loved it!

This is my second time staying at this KOA, and I love it. Everything is clean and well-kept. It is always a pleasure to ask for information at the front desk. Additionally, it is really well located without being right on a busy road.

The Alamogordo/White Sands KOA was very clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Borrow a sled from them for free if you're wanting to attempt sledding down the dunes! That alone payed for stay, as opposed to renting them at the park!

Cabin was really quite warm even when the AC was at the coldest and highest setting. It finally cooled down in the middle of the night. The pool was sadly closed until noon the morning we hoped to swim. Bathroom was nice and clean!

Very spacious site E6. Privacy fences. Close to White Sands NP. Stayed here mid-Feb 2024. Pull-through FHU 50 amp. All gravel. Site #E6 General: Nice store and grounds. Easy access. Well-maintained with updated facilities. Staff: Staff is great! Owners are caring and polite. Sites: Spacious gravel sites with some privacy from fences. Large rock gravel. Campground Road: Gravel road. Campground WiFi: Could not always connect to campground WiFi Grounds: Clean and maintained really well. Bathrooms/Showers: Women's showers were really nice—newly renovated! Private locked rooms. The men's showers were old and a bit smelly/dirty. Stall-style showers with a locking door to the stall. Laundry: Really nice newly renovated facility and the machines worked very well. Dried and washed well. Location: Gas, groceries, and restaurants all within 5-10 min. 20 min from White Sands NP. Near highway: No. You do turn off of the main road (route, not an interstate) and go back a few blocks so minimal road noise. Near train: Yes. Train is close but not immediately connected to the KOA. Cell using booster: AT&T (2 of 4 bars —4G) and Verizon (3 of 4 bars sometimes 4 bars—4G) worked well enough. Worked on VPN just fine and have Zoom meetings. Small moments of lag when using AT&T. Could stream as well on both networks.
