Location was good, showers were awesome, site was pull thru full hook up, no issues until we emptied our black tank before leaving, apparently the sewer line was blocked or frozen, it all backed up on to the ground, disgusting, we cleaned up the mess and left, not sure why it happened but we will not repeat the experience.

The location is great for all the activities, stores, and restaurants in the area, and yet the campground feels private and calm. The staff was very helpful and informative from the start, and made the stay much more pleasant. Small touches like the live music, the coffee, popcorn, sleds and wax, all made the stay so much more welcoming. Next time we are in the area, we are staying here again

The White Sands KOA was not the most appealing campground when we first pulled in, mostly full-timers seem to live here, but it grew on me! The staff was incredibly helpful, bathrooms were clean (a few out of order though), and sites were comfortably spaced for our 31' motorhome and tow vehicle. For proximity to the national park, price and convenience, we give this KOA 4 stars!

Very friendly staff! Helpful and welcoming. Hot chocolate and ping pong in main building. Free sand sleds to rent to visit White Sand National Park. Amazing park, a must see!

The campground was clean and well-kept. Cathy answered my phone call and then greeted me a couple times when I stopped into the office. I'd give her 6/5 stars - she was both friendly and knowledgeable. Alamogordo was a quiet town, but we were there to visit White Sands and loved it. I would recommend this to others if they were going to be in the area. Friday's live music was an unexpected treat.

Beautiful spot, clean and spacious. Extra friendly and helpful staff! The only draw back was the nearby train tracks - train whistle blew in the middle of the night and really startled us! We managed to get back to sleep and all was well. Had we been able to stay another night, we would have been prepared. Would love to return and will definitely recommend to others.

My stay at the KOA near White Sands was great! The campground was very clean, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and I felt safe throughout my stay. It was a convenient and comfortable place to stay, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We stayed 3 days and 4 nights at the Alamogordo KOA and were very happy with our choice. The camp grounds were clean, camp hosts were helpful and friendly, kid and pet friendly, and an easy drive the White Sands. If we ever are back in the area, this is where we will stay!

Only negative was that a shower stall was out of order.

Thanks for staying with us. Sorry we did have one shower stall out of order because we are having trouble with the handle and we didn't want it to come off while someone was showering and not be able to turn the water off. Safe travels to you.

It was too noisy with the train going through. Not a lot of amenities.

This KOA has the distinct honor of being the only campsite my wife has taken a shower at (she typically only showers in the rig because the campsites aren’t up to her standards). She said it was like a spa shower. The dog park is nice and they have lights at night which is appreciated. This site has many personal touches to make camping more enjoyable! The best KOA we’ve been too! Thanks

We had a fantastic time over Christmas week. The staff could not be more friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure all campers were taken care of. The events like the NM lighting on Christmas Eve and roasting marshmallows was a great time mingling. The band from the Senior Center Friday night was fabulous and we enjoyed the music. We look forward to our next visit.

We were placed in a great site (E6), large and private, with a paver patio, table and chairs, fire pit, gas grill, and an electric lamppost. All the staff was friendly, and the laundry room was very usable. They even loaned out sleds or toboggans to sled the dunes at White Sands National Park.

Everything at the facility was great! Sites, restrooms etc top notch. Staff was super! But that darn train, every couple hours. waiting until he was right next to the park to blow his horn, which went on all night, kept us awake and miserable. Add to that the dragstrip otherwise known as White Sands Bl I know there's nothing that can be done about it but had we known we would have gone elsewhere

Greeted by friendly staff members at the front desk. The member who checked us in was very friendly and helpful & even walked us over to show us the bathroom location. Two of us visited the store separately & we were both assisted to find each other a Christmas gift. There was a Luminary Walk around the campground and the staff worked hard to light them and made s'more. Will definitely be back!

Office staff are helpful and knowledgeable. On site propane refill service was such a welcomed help. And...$1.25 per wash and per dry laundry was a wonderful treat!

The people are wonderful. The campground is very basic and not very aesthetically pleasing. The price is very high for what you are getting. The noise level is incredibly high all night, long with trains passing by almost hourly. One of the worst nights sleep we’ve ever had.

This is the best KOA we've ever stayed at. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms are clean and showers are great. The sites are spacious. We were fortunate to arrive on friday when they have entertainment night. We were entertained by a group of guitar players who were great and fun. Will stay there again.

Super friendly staff, close to the White Sands and was an overall great camp site. If you can book site #40 you will not be disappointed!!

40 foot fifth wheel FHU- Big rig friendly Pros- -Full hook up site -Very well kept campground -Friendly and helpful staff -Showers were very clean and well kept -Great playground -Sled and wax available at the store for the dunes -30 min from White Sands National Park -in the middle of the city so very close to stores -no issues with our big rig. - great Starlink access Cons -We felt safe at this KOA so it wasn't bad enough to deter us but I will say the surrounding area was dicey at times. Lots of animal poop and garbage in the surrounding city. The KOA obviously has no responsibility in this but felt important to note. We would definitely come back, we were sad our week stay was over.

Very well managed and well maintained. Every staff member I encountered was so friendly and went above and beyond to make sure my stay was good. Tent site was large. Location is near a lot of stores (if you need them) and not too far from the National Park. Would definitely stay here again.
