Overnight Oatmeal


1 cup steel cut oatmeal
4 cups water
½ cup milk
½ cup applesauce
2-3 Tbsp. honey or maple syrup, if desired
1 tsp. cinnamon
pinch of salt

Combine oats, water, milk, applesauce, sweetener, cinnamon and salt in a slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours. Serve with fresh berries, apples and/or toasted nuts. Makes 4 servings. Can be doubled.
