Fun for the kids to help make, this easy treat offers a delicious ending to camp dinner!
Grilled Skillet Brookie
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 (16-18 oz) package brownie mix
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup oil
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 (16 oz or smaller) package ready-to-bake chocolate chip cookies vanilla ice cream and chocolate chips, for serving.
Directions:
1. Preheat grill to medium (350°F). Place cast iron pan on grill.
2. Prepare brownie mix according to package (ours used 2 eggs, ½ cup oil and 2 tablespoons of water)
3. Place butter in seasoned skillet and melt, then spread around pan.
4. Spread brownie batter evenly in the skillet, then push several pieces of chocolate chip cookie dough into brownie batter. Add as few or as many as you like!
5. Turn off burner under pan, leaving the others on medium.
6. Cover grill and cook over indirect heat for 25-40 minutes (depending on grill.) Brookies are done when a toothpick inserted into center of skillet comes out clean.
7. Remove from grill, sprinkle with chocolate chips and top with vanilla ice cream.
Serves 8-10
