Grilled Calzones

So easy and so cheesy! You can grill these calzones directly on the grill or heat up a pizza stone in the oven or grill. Mix up your toppings to make them your own.

Grilled Calzones


  • Dough for 1 pizza crust, store-bought or made from scratch
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • ½ cup sliced pepperoni
  • ½ cup sliced black olives
  • ½ cup chopped green pepper
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella



  1. Preheat grill to high.
  2. Roll out dough or use fingers to push out into a square and cut into four smaller squares.
  3. Spread 2 Tbsp. marinara on one corner of each square, add toppings and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella.
  4. Fold the dough over the top and pinch the edges together to seal.
  5. Repeat with remaining dough and toppings.
  6. Place calzones on hot grill, then reduce heat to medium high.
  7. Grill flipping occasionally, until crust is browned and crisp.
  8. Serve with remaining marinara for dipping.
