Easy, yet elegant, this grilled appetizer or side is sure to add a glamp to your camp!
Grilled Brie with Cherries
Ingredients
- ½ cup honey or hot honey
- 1 1/2 cups fresh sweet cherries
- 1 (8-ounce) wheel of brie
- 1 baguette
- Olive oil, for brushing
- ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped
- Balsamic glaze, for serving (optional)
Directions
- Preheat grill to medium.
- Place a small cast-iron skillet on grill and stir in honey and cherries. Allow to simmer while bread and cheese cook.
- Cut baguette into thin slices.
- Brush one side of baguette slices and brie with olive oil.
- Place both on hot grill, oiled sides down and brush tops with additional oil.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes until brie has started to soften and bread has toasted.
- Use tongs or a spatula to carefully flip brie. Flip bread pieces.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Carefully remove cheese from grill and place on serving board. Arrange toasted bread around cheese.
- Spoon warm cherries over the top and sprinkle with basil. Drizzle with balsamic glaze, if desired.
