Grilled Brie with Cherries | Camping Appetizer Recipe

Easy, yet elegant, this grilled appetizer or side is sure to add a glamp to your camp!

Grilled Brie with Cherries

Ingredients

  • ½ cup honey or hot honey
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh sweet cherries
  • 1 (8-ounce) wheel of brie
  • 1 baguette
  • Olive oil, for brushing
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped
  • Balsamic glaze, for serving (optional)

 

Directions

  1. Preheat grill to medium.
  2. Place a small cast-iron skillet on grill and stir in honey and cherries. Allow to simmer while bread and cheese cook.
  3. Cut baguette into thin slices.
  4. Brush one side of baguette slices and brie with olive oil.
  5. Place both on hot grill, oiled sides down and brush tops with additional oil.
  6. Cook for 2-3 minutes until brie has started to soften and bread has toasted.
  7. Use tongs or a spatula to carefully flip brie. Flip bread pieces.
  8. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  9. Carefully remove cheese from grill and place on serving board. Arrange toasted bread around cheese.
  10. Spoon warm cherries over the top and sprinkle with basil. Drizzle with balsamic glaze, if desired.
