Grilled Avocados

Grilling avocados makes them even more delicious.


  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 2 Tbsp basil, chopped
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ¼ cup crumbled feta cheese
  • ½ lemon




  1. Halve avocados and brush with olive oil. Place on hot grill, cut side down, and grill until grill marks appear and avocados are heated through.
  2. Meanwhile, toss tomatoes, basil, salt and pepper. Add feta.
  3. Fill each avocado with tomato/feta mixture and add a squeeze of lemon. Serve immediately. Makes 4 servings.

NOTE: Grilled avocados are also delicious filled with fresh or jarred salsa.
