Amaze your friends at your next spaghetti feed with this buttery, cheesy, golden brown garlic bread.
Crispy Grilled Cheese Garlic Bread
Ingredients
- 1 loaf Italian or French bread
- 1/2 cup butter, plus more for griddle
- 4 cloves garlic, minced or grated
- 3 Tbsp. chopped parsley
- 2 cups (8oz) shredded mozzarella
- 1 cup (3 oz) shredded parmesan
Directions
- Preheat grill set with a griddle pan to medium-high.
- Combine ¾ cup butter with garlic in a heatproof pan and place on grill until butterhas melted.
- Cut bread in half lengthwise and brush both sides with butter mixture until well saturated.
- Top with shredded cheeses, pressing cheese into bread.
- Butter griddle and carefully place bread, cheese side down, on griddle.
- Cook for 5-7 minutes, gently lifting a corner of the bread to check and see if cheese has melted and turned golden brown.
- Use a spatula to scrape bread from the griddle and flip, toasting the bottom of the bread for 2-3 minutes.
- Slice and serve!
