Is there anything better than popcorn over the campfire? Elevate your campfire snack with one of these four seasoning options!
Campfire Popcorn Four Ways
Ingredients:
– 2 tbsp. canola, vegetable or coconut oil
– ½ cup popcorn kernels
– 4 tbsp melted butter
– Seasoning mix of choice (see below!)
Flavor options:
Cheddar Cheese – toss buttered popcorn with 1 cheese packet from a box of mac &
cheese
Ranch – toss buttered popcorn with 1 packet ranch dressing & seasoning mix
Tajin – toss buttered popcorn with Tajin seasoning, to taste
Cinnamon Sugar – toss buttered popcorn with 3 tbsp sugar + 2 tsp cinnamon + 1/2 tsp
vanilla + 1/2 tsp salt
Directions:
1. Add oil to popper or pot with 3-4 kernels of popcorn. Heat over the fire, shaking occasionally until kernels pop.
2. Add remaining ½ cup of kernels and continue to cook, shaking often, until popping slows.
3. Remove from heat and place popcorn in a large bowl or paper bag, drizzle with butter and shake well.
4. Add seasoning of choice and shake again.
