Fishing The Arkansas River is a noted brown trout fishery. Dozens of creeks, streams and lakes and literally hundreds of smaller beaver ponds offer quality rainbow, cutthroat and brook fishing. Colorado’s Division of Wildlife stocks many streams and high mountain lakes with rainbow, cutthroat and other species of trout.
