Located in northwest Colorado between Dinosaur National Monument and Rocky Mountain National Park on the way to Yellowstone, you will find Craig KOA nestled amongst the trees. In the high desert of Yampa River Valley, you can roam with a view: canyons & rivers, forests & wilderness, mountains & parks. From Dinosaur Diamond Scenic and Historic Byway west of Craig through a "Journey of 65 Million Years in 65 miles" to the cache la Poudre-North Park Scenic and Historic Byway east of Craig.

Activities for you to enjoy are: motorsports in the Yampa Area Trails System, wild horse watching at Sandwash Basin, rafting on the Green River, tubing down the Yampa River, fishing year-round at Elkhead and Freeman Reservoirs, hiking, biking, birdwatching, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing on Cedar , Black, Duffy, Cross, Douglas, and Lookout Mountains, soaking in Juniper Hot Springs and hunting moose, elk, deer, and antelope. The town of Craig and Moffat County boast 8 museums, an ice rink and wave pool. Special events include Sombrero Ranch's Great American Horse Drive and Grand Olde West Days in May as well as the Yampa River Ranch Rodeo. Whittle the Wood Rendezvous is in June with Moffat County Hot Air Balloon Festival in August. Don't forget the various hunting seasons during the Fall!
