Meet Your Hosts

Open All Year

We can't wait to welcome you to our little campground on the plains. Come visit us and enjoy our country-style hospitality!

The Denver East/Strasburg KOA offers you the best in Colorado camping. We are centrally located and offer easy access for day trips to Denver, Estes Park, and Colorado Springs. Our Denver KOA is only 50 miles from the base of the Rocky Mountains! We are a great place to stop on your travels down I-70 without having to worry about the issues of staying in the big city. There are not many Denver-area Campgrounds, so go with the best and stay with us for your Denver camping, Denver RV Park and Denver Lodging needs. Our "Big Rig Friendly" pull-through RV sites are up to 70' long with 50-amp service available. No RV? Enjoy a comfortable stay in one of our cozy cabins or personal patio lodge.

There's LOTS to do in our area. Visit the Denver Zoo, Elitch Gardens amusement park, Ocean Journey Aquarium, Water World and Boondocks Fun Center. Enjoy a game at Coors Field, or tour the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum, Colorado History Museum and Coors Brewery.

You don't have to travel far to find BIG FUN! Our little campground on the plains has a frozen slab Breyer's Ice Cream Parlor, Hunt's Bros. Pizza with delivery to your site, Outdoor Movie Theater, swimming pool, adults-only spa, summer activities, hayrides, arcade and a small farm town to visit.

We are open all year in Strasburg, CO and located near Watkins, Bennett and Byers. There are many events that take place along the I-70 corridor during the year. There are numerous rodeos throughout the year, summer festivals, Christmas festivities and each of the towns have nice museums. Come and stay with us for a while. We'll be glad to welcome you, and you'll be glad you did!

Before purchasing their KOA in Colorado, Jeff worked in the aerospace industry and Tracy was an elementary school teacher. In October of 2004, the Hastings left behind their old lifestyle and pursued a new life in the camping industry. They were both avid campers and loved everything about the business.

In the summer time, campers interact with "work campers." These campers are campground employees, and they help with anything campers need. "It is a comfortable place away from home," adds Tracy.

The park is open year-around, a unique aspect of campgrounds in this region. Tracy says the campground is geared towards people that are looking for a convenient place to stop for the night. "It is quick and easy-right off the interstate where one can relax and then get back on the road," she said.

The Hastings are new owners with a new perspective. They are starting fresh and giving the Denver KOA a new name.

"We are young and energetic," remarked Tracy, "Our campground is a nice place and very convenient, courteous, and comfortable."

We are OPEN all year! Traveling across the country? Not to worry, we stay open all year. We have sites available, call for our office hours.
