Everything was great except our tent site was right next to the busy highway. All night long trucks were running. Otherwise it was a great stay.

Very clean and well kept campground with easy access to Dinosaur National Monument and to Vernal. Pretty near a busy road with trucks 24 hours a day so if you are in a tent, bring earplugs. Comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Great Camp! We had a fun fam reunion staying at the Dino KOA. Our grandkids loved the pool, mini-golf, bounce pad & playground. Plenty of shade & a large grassy area for games/playing. Great location just minutes from our lake day at Steinaker & close to the dinosaur museum, the Natl Park Quarry, etc. Showers/toilet clean & cared for. Staff very helpful; Thanks Scott. Best campground in my life!

Really great campground. Only problem was that in the evening there was zero shade from about 5 till 9, which had us huddled in a corner behind our tent.

The facility was clean and very well maintained. friendly service. Location is great with easy access to town, Dinosaur NM, Lakes, Rivers, forests. I would rate higher except for the nonstop truck and road noise 24/7 from extraction and fracking operations nearby.

The staff were terrific in handling all of our questions and concerns before we arrived and after we arrived! The campground was nice and clean (especially the restrooms, showers, and outdoor sinks). All of the play-things (playground, jump pad, mini-golf, pool, etc.) were well maintained and ready to be used! We had a great stay! :)

Good place for families with little kids as there is a lot of activities but for adults staying there, we really didn’t like the lack of privacy as all the tent sites were right next to each other and it ended up not feeling worth the money (as it was pretty costly compared to other sites). Overall, disappointed but would say it’s good for little kids.

Grass needed to be mowed throughout campground, especialy by volleyball and frisbee area and at our tent site. Pool was cloudy and needed to be skimmed. Broken door in women’s shower. Showers dirty at 10am. Overall disappointed for a KOA

The facility is fine. Staff was friendly. Camping in an open field was unpleasant and I won't stay again. This is the most I have ever paid for a campsite and I expected more from my tent site for the expense

The restrooms/showers smell like mold. The Wi-Fi barely worked. I thought I was just not in a location that it reached well. When I asked the staff in the office about it, they said that's just how it is. Wi-Fi is why I stayed here verses a state park. The water spigot near my site didn't work. And my site looked nothing like what's posted on the website. Won't stay here again and don't recommend.

I’ve stayed here many times, always in a tent. Pretty muddy with all the recent rain, but they are dealing with it well. Always enjoy the Vernal KOA.

It was a nice campground. Bathrooms close to the tent sites which was nice. Everything was clean and well kept. The mini golf, and other park amenities was a real plus.

Other than one night of someone stealing my spot while at the Phenomena Con and was doing a late excursion and someone moved my table to their side. It was a great experience.

Very maintained park, nice pool, playground, golf and jump pad our family enjoyed spending time together. We had a slightly slanted tent spot but we made it work. Everything was very clean and very friendly staff and other guests. Our only suggestion is add a barrier for the traffic noise and possibly more trees. No grill to cook at the site we were at. Will be back

Noisy. Full of inconsiderate people that don’t observe unenforced quiet hours. Screaming children and barking dogs running rampant. Continuous road noise and city-stink as this “ campground” is in town. Campsite constantly “scanned” by flashlights and spotlights all night. Had to use noise cancelling headphones and keep rain fly closed just to sleep. Never, ever, ever again will I stay a

Great location, nice tent sites, but the bathrooms/showers were the worst I’ve seen at any KOA. Time for an upgrade of the bathroom facilities!

We had an amazing last minute stay at the Dinosaur KOA! The staff was super friendly and helpful, the amenities including the pool were great. Everybody in the family had a great time, definitely will be going back!

We stayed in a deluxe cabin at a high price and was very disappointed in several ways. The on-demand hot water tank never provided hot water so we could not use the shower or wash dishes. Also, internet TV is provided when cable TV is advertised. Since the internet service is limited, TV was accessible for less than 5 minutes at a time. Users of the cabins near us, had the same bad experiences.

Generally a great stay but, as with most KOA sites we have visited, intermittent wi-fi. The restroom door also failed to lock much to the shock of an American child 🤣 Great location to explore the surrounding area. We loved the Moon Arch which was only a few miles out of town. The shop has a fantastic set of about 20 walks that you can take of the surrounding area. Vernal itself was a nice town and we enjoyed our best, and cheapest, meal there at Betty's Cafe.

The site layout is pretty good with plenty of space. Only 2 complaints were the distance to the bathrooms and the back border of the campsite being a rusty Barbed Wire fence, wouldn't be too great for kids to get tangled up in.
