The first site they put us in did not work for us. 90 deg to road, so a challenge to get into. A tree next to the road on the way out. But the staff moved us to a site that worked great for us. Thanks. Very nice, friendly, and helpful. Now we know that you can choose a specific site when you make a reservation, for a fee.

We come to Vernal every year and love staying at this KOA campground, people are so helpful and friendly. We are selling our camper this year and plan on still coming there and renting a cabin.

We love to stay in Vernal. The campground is very simple, but has everything you need. The employees are always very friendly.

The location is convenient to Vernal & somewhat close to the west side of Dinosaur National Monument. The people working here were friendly and helpful, especially when the sewer backed up. They were able to get it fixed pretty quick. We stayed here for the full hookups. Albeit it being clean, the campsites are very close. We stayed in # 12 - in a ‘huge’ back-in site. Definitely a lot more spa

Very nice play area. Recommend better road fencing near play area. Laundry facilities need upgrade. Enjoyed our stay. Nice sites with patio, furniture, fire ring and grill. Enjoyed tree, for a shady site.

The campground was great. We were in one of the larger spaces. Very friendly staff. The small yellow jacket bee’s were thick. Hard to sit out and enjoy the great weather. WIFI was hit n miss. Weak signal and not fast.

The big cottonwood trees provide great shade, on some sites. Pool was wonderful. The speed dips are too severe. We worried about damage to the RV suspension. Be careful!

Our stay was just a quick in and out as we were traveling. Communication was great via text and late check in was easy all was written out understandably

The campground was well maintained and the employees were friendly and helpful. Our biggest complaint is the trailer park towards the back and its residents and sheriff's department that would drive though the campground well over the speed limit to get to the trailer park.

The office staff is very friendly and helpful. The property is under appealing. There are stacks of debris ( cement, wood, tree branches) all over the property. They use speed gullies instead of speed bumps which are excessively hard on suspensions and they aren’t marked. The gravel RV sites are overgrown with weeds. Too many dogs running around without leashes. Site D14 especially and people that were in the tents did not bring their dogs in at night.

The KOA is a great place to stay with family. I appreciated the playground and pool for my child to utilize and burn off extra energy at the end of the day. I did not like the wasp the joined us for breakfast every morning. I thought there was a nest under our table, but that wasn't the case. I am not sure where they came from, but they joined us both mornings after I started cooking breakfast

We stayed 2 days while we visited Dinosaur National Monument and rested up. We found the campground clean and well-maintained. Mostly shaded sites and fairly level. We can’t speak to the laundry or shower facilities as we didn’t use them. However, the campground was well-situated in the town of Vernal, and we did run thru a car wash, dinner at a local microbrewery, and got groceries.

Very nice staff. Helpful and concerned with any needs we may have. Site was spacious and tidy. My only thought would be to add some more gravel to the roads an spaces. Lovely quiet spot to stay.

Park needs some serious TLC. Our 'deluxe' patio site was just weeds (many over 6 inches tall) and dirt. Due to the dry climate, if you can't grow grass then put down rock like other parks in dry climates.

It was OK but it was not maintained as well as it could have been in the sites. Just overall maintance was lacking. This was much more like a journey rather than a holiday.

This is an okay KOA. We had a site towards the back that was spacious and private. Level but gravel with a picnic table. Bathrooms clean. I didn't shower so can't speak to that. Staff was super friendly - everyone inside the office and out. A play area w/jump pad, tetherball, cornhole etc. The pool was really dirty. I don't think the skimmer was even working. A lot of filth on the bottom.

This was truly a nice and quite retreat, nestled in a shady spot that we loved. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and plan to return, with our grandkids! There were so many fun activities for kids to enjoy. From the playground and bounce mat to miniature golf and the swimming pool, there's never a dull moment. And the pancake breakfast was a treat! We'll be back, for sure.

Nice to have a pool, bathroom/showers, gazebo with games. The bbq gas grill in our site (#44) would not light. Luckily we had our own Blackstone. Employees were helpful and nice. Grandsons had a great time.

The KOA is convenient and easy to find. The park was not busy and there were many nice, open sites. However, we were parked in a site with adjacent construction. The site next to ours had construction debris and work in progress. Our site had rebar protruding from the ground along the left side. This would be a real tire destroyer. I don't understand why you wouldn't put a guest in a nice site?

Everything was fine except that the gravel was deep where we had to load and unload our daughter's wheelchair, which made that hard. Hookups worked great, and running the sprinklers on the adjacent sites seemed to keep things cooler, so thank you for that!

Friendly staff, site was shaded and fairly level. Enjoyed the patio. Only complaint would be the noise from the diesel trucks that used the same main road through the campground to reach their trailer park.

Way overpriced. The spot wasn't really the best for our rig. The rotten posts marking spots are right where u walk in and out of camper Trip hazards. Annoying and in the way! I would stay again. Liked it's out of town. I'm not a city dweller so that was nice. Now I've been there I'd definitely call ahead and reserve spot in the back. Back in spot w/trees. And elbow room. I.k. we can easily fit

We selected this location since we had a 5 year old traveling with us. There were plenty of things to keep him entertained. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Laundry had a couple of machines out of order. Women's showers had hair and dirt that needed to be cleaned. Men's showers no hooks or benches. Swimming pool was cold. I expected better conditions for the nightly rate we paid.

Loved it here. Quite, well maintained, very helpful and friendly staff. Vernal has a lot to see and the entire area is full of natural beauty, state parks and Dinosaur National Monument
