Overall, we had a wonderful stay! We stayed in the Moonshine cabin, and the only issue we had was that the hide-a-bed linens hadn’t been changed and there were food crumbs in the kitchen and up in the loft, causing some ants to be in the cabin. This was easily remedied by sweeping it out ourselves. Overall, the campground was clean and had a lot of activities for our kids.

Check in staff were not knowledgeable about facilities at campground. When asked about the Disc Golf "course", were told that they knew nothing about it. It rained heavily one night during stay and open grassy area between cabins and shower house became a lake. Better drainage is needed there and in some of the activity areas.

Electric box wires were hanging out. Very cramped tent space. No privacy at tent spaces. Eventually got an rv space for tent price which was good but electric box with no receptacle and wires hanging out should never had happened at an KOA

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

A previous guest vandalized the electrical box and we were not informed until you arrived. We immediately upgraded you to an RV site with no additional cost.

Very accommodating. Very clean. Nice pool, mini golf,park, and large jump pad. Everyone was very friendly. Close to other area attractions. Would gladly return.

Our site was pretty level but taking a walk the sites were rutted and two hand large holes. The grass was not cut and we had to go to the office and request it be cut. The family next to us had four little children running thru 6” of grass an weeds. We had to watch where we walked as a lots of ant hills. I counted 20 on our site including 6 around our broken unlevel concrete table

We weren't there long. Very busy stay in Vernal. Campgrounds were pleasant nice people around. All in all a good experience.

I would stay again. Staff was pleasant, grounds were clean. It was nice to have a hot shower and a toilet after dispersed camping. The bathrooms are weathered, but very clean. The grass in my area was all weeds, grounds keeper could definitely improve his performance. The fire pit was broken and dangerous looking, mine was unusable. We enjoyed the food prep area. Pool/Playground was great for kids

We stay in KOA cabins frequently, and we were very disappointed with this location. The room was not properly cleaned. The counter and table were covered in food crumbs, the floors turned our feet black, and we found the TV remote underneath the fridge. There was no soap or shampoo provided, and the hot water heater was only 20 gallons - not enough for four showers. Pool was closed for repairs.

We have been here several times. This time was disappointing. The campground was overgrown with weeds and infested with mosquitoes due to all the standing water. Bikes had flat tires and the pool was not open until a day before we had to leave and when it did open the water was way too cold. The camp was full of unruly teenagers that kept hitting our rigs and trying to enter compartments.

We really like to stay here for the vernal rock rally. The staff is always nice and helpful. We stayed in a cabin and the only thing we would change is maybe one more usable electrical outlet in the wall! Thanks for making this a good place to stay!

Overall the KOA was fine. The location was great for all the things we wanted to do. The pool was broken when we were there, but we found another pool in the area. The grass hadn’t been mowed in a long time so it made the sites pretty scrubby looking. Would have been nicer if the sites were mowed. We had a nice time though.

We have stayed at plenty of KOA campgrounds and this was by far the most disgusting-was not maintained, dirty bathrooms (dirty campground overall) . First, when we first got there our site was under a tree that produced cotton like droppings, the site was not swept (it looked like for a VERY long time), weeds were not removed, etc. Will never stay here again and highly do NOT recommend!

Very busy, lots of kids. Not as clean or well maintained as other KOA's I've been to. Interacted with the maint. staff who was working on the water supply at the site. He was friendly and apologized for the inconvenience. Kept me updated on the repairs. The traffic on the main road was noisy with trucks driving by all day and night. Some kid banged on our window at 11:00 at night and ran off.

Grass is mainly overgrown weeds needs to be mowed and unkept appearance thru out campground.Muddy RV spaces as gravel almost non existing. Not KOA quality campground.

Grass needed to be mowed throughout campground, especialy by volleyball and frisbee area and at our tent site. Pool was cloudy and needed to be skimmed. Broken door in women’s shower. Showers dirty at 10am. Overall disappointed for a KOA

The facility is fine. Staff was friendly. Camping in an open field was unpleasant and I won't stay again. This is the most I have ever paid for a campsite and I expected more from my tent site for the expense

Staff was friendly and helpful. But the pool was not open and was not informed at check-in. Pool became available later in the evening. There appears to be a road that passes through the development with continuous traffic. Trucks with loud mufflers. Rest room facilities have good ventilation. But with the crowd the night of my stay were inadequate to meet the needs.

Nice shady spots, great facility. I think it would be especially fun for families with the miniature golf and jump house. Laundry room was spotless and easily accessible.

The restrooms/showers smell like mold. The Wi-Fi barely worked. I thought I was just not in a location that it reached well. When I asked the staff in the office about it, they said that's just how it is. Wi-Fi is why I stayed here verses a state park. The water spigot near my site didn't work. And my site looked nothing like what's posted on the website. Won't stay here again and don't recommend.

I’ve stayed here many times, always in a tent. Pretty muddy with all the recent rain, but they are dealing with it well. Always enjoy the Vernal KOA.

Loved the cabin, and the bed was actually quite comfortable! The only issue with the site is the noise from the traffic on 191.

Great park, spaces are good size. Staff were very friendly. Showers were limited but hot, Wifi was pretty good. Be advised that the pool was not functioning which was a bummer because that helped us choose this KOA. All other amenities were functioning. Kamp K9 was flooded. They did try to charge more at check in (despite being paid in full) but management took it off.

Love the campground! Staff if very friendly and accommodating. Thank you to the maintenance man Bill for his help at site B-15. We had a big group camping and all enjoyed their stay.

The pool was not open and was green, my kids were so disappointed. We stayed in your teepee and the "roof" was not fully closed. The mosquitos were terrible. The bathrooms were clean and the staff was friendly.

Generally a great stay but, as with most KOA sites we have visited, intermittent wi-fi. The restroom door also failed to lock much to the shock of an American child 🤣 Great location to explore the surrounding area. We loved the Moon Arch which was only a few miles out of town. The shop has a fantastic set of about 20 walks that you can take of the surrounding area. Vernal itself was a nice town and we enjoyed our best, and cheapest, meal there at Betty's Cafe.

The site layout is pretty good with plenty of space. Only 2 complaints were the distance to the bathrooms and the back border of the campsite being a rusty Barbed Wire fence, wouldn't be too great for kids to get tangled up in.
