Campground Reviews

Great until the last day. We asked about extending our stay 1 night & they LAUGHED saying they were booked. Mind you we got a text saying to ask about extending our stay. They delivered propane to another site the day before but told US that they didn't deliver. We looked online & there were sites available to stay another day, but we decided to leave because the front office was so off putting.

We really enjoyed our stay. Our camp site was great. We got bumped into a premium site with a fireplace. Staff was friendly and helpful. Always appeared to be bustling around taking care of the grounds and amenities. This KOA is gated and shuts down at night. There's a guard gate that checks your tag for reentry. We'll be back with family and friends.

Bathrooms and showers (not enough for size of park) were dirty, poorly lit, and not well-maintained.

Wow! Definitely a resort with many amenities.

Very helpful and friendly staff.

Good city type park. Decent space but little privacy, well run, good facilities.
Mar 13, 2024
The thing I question most about this KOA is they say they are full but there always seem to be empty sites.

Picked grapefruit and lemons, enjoyed sitting by the pool. We will be back next spring!

What a wonderful couple of days. We're returning next year for longer!! We stayed in cabin 2. Fantastic! There was an oder that never dissipated. It was evident at check in and you may be aware as all the ceiling fans where going at full speed :) Two suggestions - one, a box of tissues would be so thoughtful! And at the rate per night, how about two coffees per day! Can't wait to return!

We really enjoyed our stay. Fruit trees galore. Nice size lots. Some covered if you’re there in the summer months. Friendly staff. Large off leash dog area. Internet was not ideal, but we had a T-Mobile router that served our needs.

Your staff is grate but Mike is the worst employee you have bad attitude un professional need s to go

Staff are wonderful, facilities are clean, and sites are great. A negative was the endless barking dogs. We have 2 dogs that are not allowed to behave like that. The 2 spas/hottubs are very small for such a large resort. It is centrally located and very reasonably priced for seeing the sights of Tucson.

Beautifully maintained facility. Only one thing to improve is access to WiFi

This was a great place to stay. The only issue was the water pressure. The park is very clean and you can get daily activity e-mails for activities. Will definitely stay there again.

Another wonderful, easy stay!

We enjoyed our two-month stay in most ways. It was our first long stay, but we heard many concerns from other campers about the recent policy and activity changes. When we went to renew for 2025, we were told the deposit quadrupled to $500! We wondered at times about staff morale and their concerns about management priorities. Good place, but I am concerned that it may not stay as welcoming.

Although the campground was well-maintained and spotless, it lacked variety in terms of kid-friendly activities. Instead of just crafts, I felt that they should have offered more opportunities for kids to interact and make memories together. Despite this drawback, my initial impression was that the place would be great for families since many had come here hoping so.

Great fruit !

It is a very nice park. It is clean, the spaces are large. Lots of activities happening. You get text reminders about events. The BBQ restaurant was very good. The price was very reasonable for all the amenities.

This is the 2nd time in the past year we've stayed there and enjoy it! There are so many things to do, you almost need a vacation after leaving there! The staff is super helpful and friendly. You are kept informed of things like an ice cream social, pancake breakfast and much more! We just needed to put some miles on the RV and specifically chose Lazydays KOA in Tucson! We'll be back again!

It was a quiet and friendly place to stay. Everyone was nice and the place was kept clean. Firewood was delivered to our campsite quickly after asking for it, they were big bundles compared to other places.

We had a great stay and our dogs LOVED their own private paw pen site! The sites are roomy, nice landscaping and you can pick grapefruit, lemons and limes while you stay. Pools were clean and hot tubs were wonderful. The laundry rooms are busy so plan accordingly. There are numerous activities each day for adults and kids and it’s centrally located to see the sites and explore the Tucson area.

It was Execellent!

Mix up as to when the three campers were getting there, so we weren't parked very close, and this was an issue since we were cooking for each other.

This was our third (maybe fourth?) stay at Lazydays It is spacious, pet-friendly, and has a lot of amenities - pools, dog parks, a pond with a nature walk. Everything is well kept and very clean, including the bathrooms and showers. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because the laundry was in disrepair - several machines were inoperative. But, I still recommend this campground highly!

Our reservations were mixed up by KOA resulting in our 3 camp sites being separate from one another. This caused us to have to lug our food and belongings from one site to another when we got together. Going back to her camper in early evening, one of our friends tripped and fell on the cement lip edging the road. She injured palms of both hands quite badly.

Six weeks and it was a great stay. We will be back next year.

Spacious sites, citus trees with lemons, limes, oranges and grapefruit available for the picking. Planned activities. Putting greens, fish pond, horse shoes. While located in a rather sketchy part of town, it feels secure. The famous Tucson Loop if just a couple blocks away if you are into riding bikes. The only complaint is the shower room need to be updated.

We just wrapped up our stay at the Tucson Lazydays KOA Resort, and let me tell you, it was a total game-changer for RV camping. Forget the dusty campgrounds of my past - this place was a resort oasis! We opted for a shaded pull-through RV site. Huge solar panel roof is provided perfect shade. We've been little bit dissappointed by the on-site restaurant, BBQ Rush. The food is delicious food, but three counted brisket slices and three counted ribs for almost $30 looks to me little bit out of range. The dog park is awesome, huge, shaded, perfect for any pet. Connectivity is not the best I've seen. The campground WiFi wasn't the most reliable and, due the site we choose, the solar panel roof above is an issue for Starlink as well. Also my T-Mobile 5G back-up connectivity was not performing very well. Overall, the Tucson Lazydays KOA Resort gets two thumbs up from us! It's perfect for campers who crave a resort-style experience with all the trimmings.

Been coming here for a couple years and in most areas they shine. Some of these activities might be seasonal, we were there Feb-Mar 2024, so keep that in mind. Spacious sites and most are level, cable tv available but pretty basic(no Golf or Hallmark/GAC channels), fruit trees(orange, lemon, grapefruit) that you can pick from, two pools with hot tubs, a restaurant on-site with generally decent food, two laundry rooms(which sometimes get crowded and there are usually machines down for maintenance), a fitness center with treadmills/bikes/rowing machines & dumbbell weights(thanks go to the slimeball who stole 1-30lb dumbbell around the middle of Feb-it made me up my weight), basic pickleball court, and two sets of bathrooms with showers. Park is kept really clean by the crew patrolling in golf carts continually during the day. Sunday pancakes w/ sausage for $ was good, but even better when they switched back to blueberries versus chocolate chips. The staff handling that were great & fun! Donuts/snacks on Thursday's were also fun. They charged a $1 for a donut this year but no big deal as far as I was concerned. Previous yrs saw the young, & yes some old, take advantage of the free ones. There were also plenty of crafty things going on, along with Trivia every so often in the restaurant. Couple downers this year and one was Bingo. Previous years they had cash payout for winning, this year it was a ‘Mystery Prize' that you got when spinning the wheel. Half hour bike rental, 6 wings, etc. We attended one time to see what it was, and never went back. Used to fill two rooms, with maybe 8-10 tables, approx. 8 people at each table. The time we went there was one room, couple tables, not filled. Used to be a fun social get-together. Heard the money all went to their Kare Camp fund, which is a great cause. But from what I understand, the fund got half of the proceeds from previous years. With attendance down, I wonder if they made more or less this year. Another downer was realizing that deposits & site picks for next year had increased 5 times from the previous year! That's a lot of MY money for KOA to be sitting on for a year. Also, water was shutoff three different times for maintenance. They did warn everyone days in advance, so use of your fresh water tank was imperative. Felt sorry for the tent campers though. Water out meant bathrooms closed too. They were fixing leaks. Gates are closed & guarded at night. There is some noise. Two busy streets, one International Airport, one Air Force Base, and train tracks, can disturb the light sleeper. Propane refill is offered. Last I heard, motorhomes go to them, they do not come to your site. Plenty of dog areas are offered all over the park. Heard some yippers on/off. Plan on going back again but hope some things change back the way they were. Seemed to be a lot less comradery this year.
