What a great place! Such a change from all the craziness at a State Park. And so well cared for. Everything was clean including the bathrooms and showers. They were easy to work with too. We'll be staying again.

The sole reason I don't like this KOA is the cell reception. Get AT&T to significantly upgrade their presence in the area and I would definitely recommend this campground.

We had a great stay. Pluses for us were the kids' activities and playground, the location close to Traverse City and outdoor activities, the pool, the cabin, and the camp rules (quiet times, etc). One thing I'd suggest is having separate containers for trash and recycling (cans, cardboard, etc).

We totally enjoyed it! Under the trees, space between sites but close enough to meet neighbors. Laundry was convenient, staff was great.

Didn’t like that we were continually complained to about parking a third car (that paid to be in their own site) in our camp ground that had plenty of room. They made my mom walk from her site to mine instead of driving and parking at mine. Would be nice to get softer sand at the playground my 2 year old wouldn’t walk in it because of all the rocks in the sand. Other than that it was gr

Sites were nicely sized. Staff was very friendly. The plumbing under our sink sprung a leak. I inquired about a local plumber at the office. They offered to have 1 of their guys look at it. He spent a lot of time scrunched under our sink but did a nice repair! We were very grateful!!

Easy check in. Fairly quiet camp although people nearby stayed up till 1am talking. Price is high for camping and not close enough to Traverse to justify the price point

We enjoyed our stay here. Our site was nice and shaded. The whole campground was quiet at night and there is plenty of activities for the kids to do when you aren't going in to town to explore.

Office staff very unfriendly and unhelpful, park expensive and overcrowded, one small bathroom facility and one small pool. They charge a substantial daily entrance fee to visitors and they troll the front entrance to catch everyone. They note a fee but DON’T reveal the amount until after you check in. Very deceptive and unethical. For my grandkids to visit it was $35 a day. Never again.

This was the most beautiful, well cared for KOA that we have experienced. The only drawback is the highway noise which you can't control. Everyone was warm and friendly and the grounds were spectacular. Thank you!!

We used it as a base to sightsee. The team was attentive and the property was clean. The number of sites with patios was higher than we have seen. That made it more relaxing.

We have stayed here many times and really like it, but this time we were in site 15 and we will never stay in this site again. The highway noise was extremely bad. Was unpleasant to sit outside and very noisy even inside. We will happily stay here again, but ONLY if we can be guaranteed a site away from the highway.

I prepaid for a 3 night stay in my pop up 16ft camper. We have stayed here many times before, even before it was a KOA. I have cancer and had a brain bleed and was put in steroids and needed to reschedule. The girl who answered was very nice, she put the manager on who was very rude. She said I could only reschedule once (I paid $349), put me right next to the load road and did not upkeep games.

Putting a tent without a dog next to the dog park is not a lovey experience. Dog owners being loud at 4 in the morning and again at 7am did not allow us to enjoy the campsite like we could have. The road traffic was also louder than expected.

The campground has been expanded and has a LOT of pull through sites. We had a wooded back in site and it was GREAT. We didnt have time to enjoy the pool, but the kids loved the bounce pillow, playground and train ride that they had over the weekend! No issues with the site (call ahead if you dont have a bathroom in your camper to make sure youre closer to the showerhouse like I did). Employees were extremely friendly and very helpful. Great location to travel all around upper Michigan!

As with most KOA's service is always impeccable. The texting svc is so convenient. We were there for work not holiday so sadly were unable to participate in the activities. Rooms were clean (floors not so much) comfortable, and gave us just what we needed. We do wish there was a place to wash our dishes & utensils nearer to our cabin. We felt safe and quiet hours were respected. We always felt like someone was available in case we needed them for any reason & our questions were always answered with kindness & enthusiasm. Would absolutely recommend
