The hosts were affable. The bathrooms & showers clean, the water was hot. The water had a strong rotten egg smell. Our site was not very private tho there are a number of sites that are larger and more amenities. I would definitely have upgraded had it been offered. This was now 9 years in a row we have stayed for Labor Day weekend, the Traverse City KOA continues to be one of the nicest KOAs we visit each year! Thank you again, see you next year!

This is my favorite KOA! I appreciate that the owners have kept some nice, shaded, and secluded tent sites. So many KOA campgrounds have very few tent sites and they are often out in an open field or by the restrooms or playground. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The campground is well monitored and guests are spoken to if they or their pets are disturbing other campers.

Everyone there treated us like family. We could not believe the excellent service that was provided. If you needed campfire wood you called and it was delivered. Amazing service, we stayed in a cabin and it was very nice and clean.

The property is kept up nicely and very clean facilities to use as well. I was disappointed that I couldn't run my rc truck because it was "not electric". It fit the scale size and purposely booked for the rc track. Just found it strange being an outdoor track and all that it would of been a problem. All in all though it was a nice place to camp.

Very hart to explain how happy we were in 400 characters. But I will try... Extremely friendly staff, quiet and well kept grounds! Laundry, shower house extremely clean with newer equipment! We will definitely return to Traverse City KOA as much as we can! Thank you to the campground owners & employees who take such pride in what they do & for making it a lovely place to stay!

This was our 2nd stay this summer at the Traverse City KOA. We really like the clean facilities and well-maintained grounds. It is a really quiet place to camp. You're out in the country, but not too far from Traverse City or the conveniences of the businesses in Buckley. The staff are the best. Haven't seen one yet without a smile on their face! We'll be back a couple of times next year.

This KOA is exceptionally well run. Friendly, efficient, and clean. This was our first visit. We would happily come back. The kids LOVED the daily train and the playground. The pool was warm and clean. Everyone was helpful and friendly. It was so easy to charge things in the camp store to my site, and it was great having the wood delivered once ordered. Thank you!

We were there with several friends and family. It was a great time. Sites were great. Bathrooms and showers great. Office staff very accommodating and pleasant. We’ll be back.

Enjoyed it very much. Very clean and welcoming, friendly place. We spent 3 days in a cabin which was perfect for us. We got to explore a lighthouse, Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes beaches. While at the camp, we hung out at the pool. Fun times.

Traverse City KOA continues to be a place we can come and remain, with varied activities for children in a safe environment, making it more relaxing for parents. Staff are friendly and help ensure a pleasant stay. Facilities are clean and well-maintained. Traverse City, Lake Michigan, the Manistee River, and other places offer offsite activities as well.

On our journey this KOA was a wonderful oasis. We enjoyed the pool and the staff was very helpful and answered our questions. The only struggle was the traffic which never seemed to stop. This was not a negative just something which others need to be aware.

Excellent experience. Rented the deluxe cabins, side by side for family gathering. Staff is excellent. Play area great for the kids. Quiet in the evenings. We will do it again in 2023

First experience at a KOA. I'm not a fan of camping but wanted our son to experience the great outdoors. Very well groomed areas, super clean , friendly staff and quiet nights without any loud neighbours or parties. Will definitely be back for another experience... son LOVED IT!! So did we �!! Well done KOA!

Nice shaded sites in the front section. Not far from alot of the big tourist attractions. Has a nice R/C track.

Very well kept! If you like privacy - this one is for you! Many lots are “hidden in the trees”, or screened by bushes! We opted for one in the more open area (StarLink worked). Large & level gravel lot, lots of amenities (huge kids zone), very friendly staff!

As a child this campground is a childs DREAM id even sugest it for adults considering my mom loved it! The pool is so nice especially since it's heated. Their put put golf is very fun! The park even has these like bouncy trampoline blob thing thats super fun! Now typically I hate showering at the camp showers at campgrounds but their showers are AMAZING! and just to add on the camp store is HUGE! But there was some cons. Aka only one lol when I walked in the shower once there was a huge BEHEMOTH of hair on the wall 🤮. But ìn the end this place is super fun and id totally recommend 👍🏻😁
