We really enjoyed staying at this KOA. The staff was friendly and the rv sites were large and spacious. We had a great time walking and hiking around the property and made it out to Vail Lake. We look forward to coming back and checking out the other amenities that are offered. We would absolutely recommend this KOA!

The campsite is very clean. However we asked for a lake view and the site given was not exactly one when there was plenty of other sites available with a lake view

This has been our 10th year and the grounds and staff are always great. I do want to highlight Ms Paula cleaning lady conducting her job at Chardonnay bathroom they were always clean and always felt comfortable walking in.

Staff were friendly and the facility was well-kept. The Halloween event was great fun for all — good job, KOA! Suggested Improvements: The campground bathrooms were quite unpleasant and uncomfortable. The public area near the store has stairs that are very difficult to navigate for those with low vision. Adding clear signage and high-contrast tape to mark the stairs would be very helpful.

Stayed for Halloween weekend 1. We were so bummed to see that there were no jump houses and slides this year for the little ones! This is our 5th year and it’s always something we look forward to. Will they not be there next year either?

Great stay, had a blast! Wish the roads were paved a little better so the kids could ride bikes/scooters a little more safely. But super fun no matter what.

We come every year and love it! Noticed some of the spots have been graveled in, we are in spot 148, it’s a nice spot, but very dirty, would be really nice if it also had gravel. Other than that, park is very clean and friendly staff!

Love this campground! One of our most favorites! Especially during the Halloween season. Really enjoyed seeing all the camp sites decorated and the kids in costume. Only thing that is concerning are all the E/bikes and the young children riding then way to fast around the campground.

The only thing we were dissatisfied with was the camp spot; the tree branches were over grown and made backing in difficult. Our ladder was affected and damaged by the branches. Also, that the electrical hook-ups are only 30 amp (had to purchase an adapter) when most newer rigs use 50amps.

The stay was nice, liked the location and that it was not too crowed. I wish there were better offers to be able to rent a golf cart for a day, I wanted to rent it on Sunday and was told pick up time at 3 and return time at 5, made no sense to rent for 2 hours, Front desk/gift shop staff not friendly at all (Gloria) seemed bothered when I asked questions, maybe they were having a hard day.

We had a Great time. We were there from 9/11-915. Site 104. Even though it did not have the full picnic table, chairs and BBQ which we really didn't need but would have been nice since we had visitors for a day we had a great time. We went to all the different sections as most people do and just looked around, all the sites look nice and appear to have space. We have already booked more time there

We always enjoy our time here. The band was much better than last time we stayed. This one was called My Dads Band. It was great. Last time it was a screaming metal band- not cool. Everyone is so friendly here.

The campground was very nice. Disappointed because when I checked in, I asked if my son could come visit us for an hour or so, because he lives in the area. She said 'yes, you are allowed to have two cars in your spot'. However, one evening my son came thru the gate & told the man he was coming to visit his parents for a short visit. He gave our spot number, but he was charged $10 for a day pass.

We were in town for a baseball tournament. The KOA has a lot to offer. We really didn’t have much time to enjoy all it had to offer but the cafe was perfect for a family on the go. The live music was nice, along with the activities for the kids. They accommodated our late check out. We are definitely returning for leisure.

We love Vail Lake KOA! Our 2.5 year old love riding his bike all around the campground. There are plenty of shade trees. The pools are amazing. Staff has always been great. A lot of great activities. Mountain bike trails looks rad. We will be back for sure!

We liked the many activities. The pools were really nice! The store was well stocked. On the other hand, neighbors were very noisy (drinking, playing loud music, being verbally loud) until 2 AM the first night and after midnight the second night without any staff intervention. Also, staff in the general store were subpar in attitude, energy and competence.

Stayed here for my prop motocross race at Paula raceway and honestly no regrets. I heard fox shut off the water for privateers (I am a privateer) 🤣 so I am 100% glad I was smart enough to keep my main rig here. Temecula is beautiful and I'm glad I got a chance to explore. Temecula KOA at Vail Lake gave me and my team the opportunity to do this so thank you!!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Vail Lake is one of my favorite places in the Temecula area to relax and unwind. The grounds are clean, well-maintained, and the overall environment is peaceful and welcoming. It always feels safe, making it a great place for families, couples, or anyone looking to enjoy some time outdoors. The property has a charming general store that is convenient and adds to the campground atmosphere. There is also a really cool ice cream shop that serves delicious treats along with a variety of food items, making it easy to grab a snack or meal without leaving the property. The bar is another great feature, offering a fun place to relax and enjoy a drink after a day of exploring. Whether you are camping, fishing, or simply looking for a quiet getaway, Vail Lake offers a clean, relaxing, and enjoyable experience. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice escape in the Temecula area.

Enjoy coming here with my family. For the pass 8 years we been coming. Looking forward in remodeling Oaks area. A little issue with 2 of the workers that is not a customer service friendly when checking in.
