Staff, amenities, and campsites were all awesome. We have been coming back for years and each year is better than the last.

The asphalt really needs to be re-paved in the Rincon loop. It’s pretty dangerous. But we love staying there!

The campground is spacious. Great for kids. Safe yet kids can have freedom to roam. Bathroom / showers need attention. Ceiling has been falling down for years.

Enjoy our stays every time. Wish the dog park was a little bigger as there’s plenty of space for a bigger one. The music sat night was awful… more country and less heavy metal. :)

Our family really enjoys the Vail lake KOA. Lots to do and staff go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable!

For winter weather was unusually warm because of santa ana winds for 4 days, beyond KOA's control. We will try location again sometime. We were on Chardonay plateau but even in the valley area was just as windy. My husband said the mens restroom on the plateau was gross and he would not shower in there.

Clean nice RV resort with great amenities. Bathrooms could use an update.

Lovely quiet campsite (we did go in January) with beautiful mature oak trees. Excellent facilities (though the restroom near us needed some attention), bike and walking trails to the lake, pickleball, crazy golf, and come summer there are some very well maintained pools. If you’re a bird lover, there are plenty of woodpeckers and we even had two bald eagle sightings. We’ll be back.

Great midweek stay, campground was very uncrowded and quiet. Good time to unwind and relax.

The resort is great. I love the live music and bar area where a lot of us can hang out. The bathrooms / showers could use some love though. There is some mold and just a very old look - at least at the bathroom heading up to Rincon. Thanks

Super clean everyone was very nice. Love the outside patios with the table and chairs and fire ring. We will definitely be going back soon.

Very spacious campsites (for my trailer). It was quiet, very friendly staff, fun Karaoke Night, and I love there is e-mountain biking trails right there!

The bathrooms need to be repaired. The showers where in need of paint and modernized..mold all over the walls. My wife would not shower for the 4 days when we where there because the bathrooms in the oaks section need work. The ceiling in the men's room has a huge hole in it. Doors are difficult to open. In all they are gross condition. Walls and floors need redone.. and no mirrors where pres

Only criticism is that the bathrooms and showers are completely falling apart at Oals.

Everything about my stay was amazing. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. The sites were excellent. I can’t wait to visit again.

It was great and beautiful, very enjoyable. The only complaint, would be about the bathroom and bath house, they need a lot of work and need to be upgraded. Also, the laundromat had mice droppings on top of the dryers, YUCK!

Great spot! Lots of e-bike riding, played pickleball, campfires and the store has everything you might need or forgot! Only negative — the WiFi connection kept going in & out due to the winds.

Vail Lake is a nice place to stay however some things are in need of attention. The roads are all damaged, mini golf is a mess and has been this way for years now. The main stage is torn up. Hopefully after winter they do repairs.

We had a great time, as always. The only thing that put a slight damper on our visit was that the rig next to us had VERY bright Christmas lights on ALL night. I get that we want to celebrate, but maybe have a “lights out” time so we can enjoy the beauty of the outdoors and maybe do some star gazing!

The stay was great l was looking forward to finish the lake but when I went to the store they didn’t sell any bait

Stayed in the campsite 125 next to the cabin my daughter and her husband rented. It was great! A bit rainy but actually wonderful!

We love camping at Vail Lake and visit every year for New Year’s, as well as during the summer. However, during our most recent stay over New Year’s week, we were disappointed to find that the restaurant and bunkhouse had very limited hours. The convenience of having both of these amenities available is one of the main reasons we enjoy camping there. Hope this changes!

Great place, weather didn't cooperate, but still lots to do. We rode the electric bikes, hung out playing games in the courtyard area, enjoyed the bar and the DJ, also tasted the food from the cafe and food truck. The sites we stayed in were updated with great additions (fire pit, bbq grill, lounging chairs and table and chairs.

Always love staying here. The Campgrounds are always clean and well managed. Already booked our stay for next New Years!!!

We had fun! We appreciated the clean bathrooms and facilities. Many of the things could use updating - the bathroom ceiling was leaking and about to cave in. The mini golf needs new grass. Just a few renovations to justify 150 per night :) thanks!

Excellant as always. My favorite camping spot.

There seems to be some simple things that need attention with routine maintenance items. Rincon is one of our favorite spots because the grassy area allows the grandkids a safe place to play, but the ground is uneven and full of holes that could be easily filled. Speaking of holes the road around the loop gets worse every year, rocks in the holes would make it a better ride. Getting very pricy

The Lower Merlot is the tenement yard of the KOA franchise. It has an 18th century bathroom that Beethoven utilized.

Temecula KOA at Vail Lake is a massive RV resort with various campgrounds. The entire resort alone provides so much area to get a good walking, jogging and cycling workout. We got a good spot and, therefore, enjoyed the views, fresh air and clean atmosphere. There are lots of trees and grassy fields here, unlike RV parks that look like parking lots. It's also just a short drive away from the wineries. If you like to drink wine but don't have a designated driver, just hire an Uber or Lyft.
