Great place to camp staff very friendly lots to do Christmas decorations were beautiful and being able to drive to the lake was real nice I hope the stupid people who throw trash and cigarette butts on the ground stay away from the lake it should be open to people camping only

Great Xmas weekend. Wish the snow didn’t harden so fast but can’t do much about that! DJ and band were great, drinks were awesome. A great place to celebrate with friends and family. Love the staff and the Xmas decorations. Great weekend!!

Always a great time for the Christmas fun! Loved the tamales! Dj this year was horrible but the band was good. Snow party was ok ,definitely better years before. Overall another great year in the books!

It would be nice to add a few dim lights between the general store and restaurant area towards the sites. Add a few solar on a few fence posts.

We've been coming here 5+ times a year for over 10 years. This year (2025) has really changed for the worse. I would no longer consider this a family-friendly campground. Loud, explicit music is the norm; the party crowd is taking over all areas of the camp. A teen drove his golf cart through our camp and down the hill. There was a physical fight in a cabin below us, we decided to leave early :(

We had an excellent time. We enjoyed all of the activities for the kids and the park itself is very clean and well-maintained. However, we do feel it is overpriced overall.

Love this place and all they have to offer. The only thing that was disappointing was the Activities Desk. A few of the kids working there were less than helpful or pleasant. Everyone and everything else was 5 stars though!

Had a wonderful time with family. My only complaint would be that I was given a blue sheet of paper for next year. I didn’t realize what it was until Saturday night and when I went to turn it in Sunday morning at 8:30 when we left, the sign said open at 9. I had to leave so I called a little later and was told they opened at 8 but forgot to change the sign so I was out of luck.very disappointed

The bathroom in the oak were horrible. There was holes in the ceiling, the shower curtains were ripped no privacy just playing horrible bathrooms. The road in front of the 180 sites are extremely horrible to have your trailer go through. They need to pave all tha area.

This is our 4th year and I thought employees were much more friendly and helpful than ususal. Great entertaiment for the kids.

Our second time staying at the Chardonnay site. enjoyed that location, especially during the middle of the week as it is very peaceful! We appreciate the good WiFi signal, the laundry room facilities with everything working. Sites are well maintained, staff very friendly, Christmas lights beautiful. Improvements - road/pavement is falling apart, some grass areas overwatered making it very muddy.

It was our first time camping at the Koa in Temecula. Our friends recommended it to us. A big group of us went and we had the best time. We are booked AGAIN for next year!

We had a wonderful time. This visit we brought along the grandkids to celebrate the holidays and participate in the golf cart parade/contest. It was even more exciting because we won 1st place and received a 1st place medal from Buddy the Elf. The KOA has brought memories of a lifetime for my family and I. Thank you!

Family had a great time. Love the views and the updated campsites. Wish the laundry wasn’t so expensive for how big the washer drum is and the dryer for $5 per load of laundry you can’t get much done compared to prices and size of equipment a laundry mat provides and charges.

We had a bad experience in sight 179 in the Oaks. There’s a tree directly in front of the concrete pad. I was able to maneuver my trailer onto the pad, but then I had to buy an extra 20 feet of sewer cable to reach the sewer line. The asphalt in that area needs some serious attention.

Please add more heaters at the village area. There was only 4 for the whole area. Also, please fix the many potholes in the roads. We love coming here!

This was our first shake out trip in our new to us RV and first time at Vail lake. We had a great time and were very impressed with the property and the cleanliness of the property! Everyone was so friendly too! We will definitely be back! Mid week was so nice and quite! Not a complaint by any means but more trash cans and dog poop stations would be nice. Would love to see mini golf refurbis

We just came back from another wonderful stay at Vail Lake KOA. We like camping here during the week because the campground is pretty much empty and very quiet. But on Thursdays, we do enjoy seeing all the families with young kids come in for a weekend adventure.

We have always love our stay. We have booked spaces 123 and 124 for years every year. When we went to rebook again for next year. KOA broke the rules any have our space 124 to someone else. We may not return for 2026. What’s the pint of have rules if you break them and make them up as you go.

Love staying here. Only comment is the condition of the asphalt is in very bad shape. My 2 year old tripped several times on the potholes not to mention driving through them.

Stayed here for my prop motocross race at Paula raceway and honestly no regrets. I heard fox shut off the water for privateers (I am a privateer) 🤣 so I am 100% glad I was smart enough to keep my main rig here. Temecula is beautiful and I'm glad I got a chance to explore. Temecula KOA at Vail Lake gave me and my team the opportunity to do this so thank you!!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Vail Lake is one of my favorite places in the Temecula area to relax and unwind. The grounds are clean, well-maintained, and the overall environment is peaceful and welcoming. It always feels safe, making it a great place for families, couples, or anyone looking to enjoy some time outdoors. The property has a charming general store that is convenient and adds to the campground atmosphere. There is also a really cool ice cream shop that serves delicious treats along with a variety of food items, making it easy to grab a snack or meal without leaving the property. The bar is another great feature, offering a fun place to relax and enjoy a drink after a day of exploring. Whether you are camping, fishing, or simply looking for a quiet getaway, Vail Lake offers a clean, relaxing, and enjoyable experience. Enjoy coming here with my family. For the pass 8 years we been coming. Looking forward in remodeling Oaks area. A little issue with 2 of the workers that is not a customer service friendly when checking in.
