We love camping at Vail Lake KOA. The activities for the kids are great and the festive vibes are always a bonus. Staff members are typically pretty helpful and friendly. Heather went above and beyond with getting us checked in and answering all the questions we had. She was patient, polite and easy to work with. Big THANK YOU to her.

We loved the property. The trees, amenities, and beauty was what did it for us. Two suggestions: please fix the light at the pickleball courts. It’s wired for lighting but it’s been vandalized and not fixed. As well, we took a walk to the lake and there was no trash cans on the walk or at the picnic table. That is why there is trash near the lake, unsafe for wildlife and dirty looking.

We stayed at site 232. It was inclined and it was very difficult for us to use our RV properly. It would be great if we can pick the sites rather than be assigned to them. I tried to ask them to move us but nobody answered our calls. Otherwise, the restrooms are clean.

First off, the staff were very helpful and friendly. We are not established campground people, so it was very stimulating and loud. My one feedback would be to have a quiet section for campers - specifically tent - that does not have to put up with the locals that stay / live there long term. It was loud through 2:00 AM. The amenities were great, and the trail to the lake was a nice thing!

Enjoyed our stay. Was quite and relaxing. I do have a question: Do you allow tent camping along side travel trailers in the Chardonnay Mesa area?

Place is nice, other than the old lady in the front desk waa very rude to me, I didnt get her name but he she works in the morning shes skinny and kind of tall, I had a specific reservation for automobile camping and she denied me even tho its an option online and told me that she cannot allow me, I reserve for a chardonay and she moved me to arroyo, and told me I was giving her a hard time

The stay was amazing. The staff was great, the camp was clean as well as the bathrooms. We came al the way from Albuquerque and will definitely be returning. The one thing that was hard was no power at the lower arroyo where we stayed . Our generator would not start so we had to constantly charge our battery on our trailer with our truck. Other than that everything was perfect

So our group of 30 plus people had an AMAZING TIME AGAIN! This place is always family-friendly and fun. Several events were scheduled for the kids in the group. The grounds are kept clean, the facilities are clean, and the staff is always present around the camp ground. Not to mention the ability to have fire wood delivered to your site is a huge plus. The camp store had everything we needed.

Great amenities. Price was a little steep for 2 days. Golf carts seemed a nice addition but expensive. Site was beautiful and would love to come back. Customer service was great.

Always a good time (though some of us got sick), I look forward to the upgrades in the arroyo seco section and the improving of all the roads in the park. I have been coming here since 1970's when dirt bikes were the thing here! Thanks again for a great campground.

We were very pleased with your campground. The setting was beautiful and the campground was very clean. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the village as well. We had drinks from your bar and your bartenders were very welcoming. We enjoyed some nachos and ice cream from the Cafe. Your staff was very accommodating. I would like to give a shout to Gloria in the office who seemed to always have a smile.

Nice camp ground. Helpful staff. Bathrooms were tidy however both showers were not in good shape near our camp spot. Of the 2 showers both shower heads were broken. One completely removed. Water damage on the walls as well.

We loved the campground but we feel that we got the worst campground in the park space 130. I called several times if something else was available but for the same answer.

Beautiful campground with amazing trees and scenery. Love the hiking trails. Someone needs to open up the road to the lake so people can drive to see it. The road looked fine to me?

It is confusing that when trying to make reservations online it showed one available spot. But the whole duration of our stay the park was nearly empty.

It was absolutely wonderful. As always. The staff is wonderful. The place is so clean. The only issue I have this time I was in spot 109 they were doing construction on the two sites in front of me. I had to ask them to move their vehicles so I could pull in which was not a problem. But the saw noise clouds of debris filling my campsite a couple times wasn’t very pleasant.

First time back since March of 2021. I liked the improvements to the camp grounds, the new rock parking pads and paver sitting areas in the campsites. It’s good to hear and see that there will be newer sites with fireplaces and more pavers. Suggestion, please add Gaga ball rings like those at chula vista KOA. There is plenty of room out back near the pool area.

We like staying at the Vail Lake location. However, there was so much construction we could not sit outside due to the noise. I am disappointed we were not told before we chose our site. Very unpleasant stay. They should have put us in a different location. There was plenty of un occupied spots

I requested spot 108 and was charged an extra 25.00 to guarantee the spot. When we checked in there were a few guys working on the site behind us. After we had set up camp, they started using power tools and creating a lot of noise and dust. They showed up the 2 days at about 7-7:30 and there were using heavy equipment and making a lot of noise. Someone should have told us there was construction.

We love this campground for its location, remote feel, large sites. We do not love that general rules are not enforced. Golf carts racing around with loud music all day, until 12:30am shouldn't be allowed. Dogs off leash should not be allowed. The road in the Oaks is in desperate need of repaving, it isn't safe for bikes or scooters. Thanks for taking into consideration our thoughts.

Nasty dirt camp sites that are not level at all, hookups very far in most sites. Camp k9 nothing but loose dirt, had to bathe the dog afterwards. The trash area had feces inside, maybe from Coyotes? Party Zone on the weekends, quiet hours not enforced. They are working on some sites, but KOA should have made them do more before accepting this campground. Called Corporate office to notify.

It was good. I think you guys could use a Jaccuize or two and the Santa breakfast could have been better. For one thing him walking around taking to the breakfast guest or the area roped off for ticket people only. Also more at it like eggs or potato’s. I prob wouldn’t do the breakfast again .

this was our 4th year halloween weeeknd! the haunted houses this year weren’t as good but we appreciate all the hard work they do! wishing the pool is heated too!

Best campground was beautifully designed to accommodate lots of campers in such a way that I never felt crowded. Its main draw is ebike mountain and track. The trails were furiously busy with all kinds of bikers who were courteous and safe in their behaviors. The park had a beautiful large pool it was near a scenic very pretty lake. They offered lots of activities for families including a tethered hot-air balloon. There is a camp store, Cafe and bar. Prices were reasonable and service was cheerful. Campgrounds were never noisy at night and there was ample room for children to play in various areas. Showers, laundry facilities and restrooms were ample and very clean. At night and various times through the day there was entertainment but never noisy or disruptive.

Recently spent some time there, loved it. Well kept up, nice staff, was nice to be able to visit the on-site cafe and have a drink with some new friends. The only negative thing I'd mention, some people drove too fast, lrg aggressive dog breeds, a person brought a dog to the pool. Pools were nice and the on-site cabins looked good. Rules weren't followed.
