I stayed in one of the cabins for the first time and it was fabulous! Modern, clean and very comfortable. Appreciated all the amenities and well stocked kitchen since I was traveling light. Staff at the gate and front desk were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

Such a fun week, we loved it. It was hard to navigate when we first arrived, more directional signage would have been great. And I was bummed to see the cafe closed at 4pm, but overall it was a wonderful time.

Great vacation with my family. we rented one of the cabins, and it was great for a family of four. I think the 4pm check in to the cabins is way too late.

The stay was overall great. Only issue was that our cabin was infested with ants and a lot of the surfaces felt sticky/dirty. We stayed with 3 other families in adjacent cabins and they had no issues

We were not able to rent bikes both days we were there over spring break as the “bike people “ we not there. Our 2 bedroom cabin loft cots had scorpions in the clean folded sheets and dead bugs/spiders in the loft ground and window seals. No metal spatula or lighter for bbq.

Everything was good except we didn't receive anything about wifi on check in. We had zero service so there was no way to call the desk and ask

Clean linens and overall clean cabin. There were some dead bugs around the inside and also a critter trying to chew its way into the cabin. Roads around the property we fee e a little rough, ended up going the long way to the cabin to avoid a majority of the bumpy roads, especially being in a rental car.

Stayed in Merlot cabins second year. Grew experience! Very clean , comfortable and cozy. Only issue the garbage disposal in the kitchen sink had an foul odor. But I am sure that will be resolved. If I could make a suggestion, maybe a grill cleaner brush made available. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

It was our first time going and I can honestly say we will be coming back. It feels like im young again, the kids want to be outside playing, riding their bikes, and exploring. It was last minute plans for us and the cabin we got was amazing fit my family of 6 super comfy I would recommend to anyone!

Spent the weekend in a cabin for SOCAL Mountain Biking Event. Cabin was in a good location to walk to the event. Cabin was adequately stocked. We appreciated the option to purchase late check out. Every staff member was friendly and helpful. Text responses were prompt and informative. We enjoy the firewood delivery service. The mini golf course could use a little TLC, but it was still fun.

Overall great experience. The faucet in our bathroom seems be stripped and difficult to find the perfect position so it doesn't drip. No hand towels were left in the main bathroom but we made day. Overall love our stays and keeps us coming back every year.

The facility is wonderful. We stayed in a cabin and had a few issues. The dishwasher wasn't emptied, a used coffee pod was left in the coffeemaker, and the TV in the living room required a pin. Someone came to fix it and updated Roku but it never worked. The ice maker also didn't work so we had to buy ice. We were in RC01.

We had a fantastic experience and are actually kind of bummed we didn’t get to explore the grounds more. The staff is great, the grounds were clean, the cabins were awesome, the family activities were amazing. We have already recommend this KOA to friends and family, and plan on returning ourselves.

Checked in to cabin and found 1 TV remote with no batteries. Also TV would not connect and had to have staff come by 3 times to fix the TV's Ice maker not working in Refrigerator/Freezer.

Disappointed w/maintenance of grounds, specifically path from Oaks to Village. After falling September 2025 and fracturing wrist which required surgery with plate and nine screws, was told some markings would be added for walking safety. Returned w/family in January found no improvement; not even yellow paint on roadway. This KOA site clearly has no concern to improve walkways for guest safety!!!

We enjoyed our day at the KOA, are only complaints were the amount of towels that were left for us to use for showers. Other than that, we had an absolute wonderful time.

We love this KOA. Tons of hiking trails, super dog friendly, and peace and quiet (go during week). Highly recommend this KOA. Always clean and staff is always so kind.

Everything was 5-stars except the TV situation. We didn’t have a Roku account and couldn’t even watch regular TV or basic cable. Couldn’t even screen mirror our phones/iPads to TV.

Phenomenal facilities and staff. Delux cabins are nice, clean, appropriately outfited. Ours had coffee drinking nooks and stargazing areas.

For our 3rd year staying at Vail Lake KOA. We were very disappointed in the cleanliness of our cabin as well as with so many things being broken. This is an expensive weekend & I expect to come into a clean cabin, not to clean up after who was there before us, having dead bugs stuck to the wall, & lots of dust. They’re also shouldn’t be broken glassware, cabinets, & fixtures

This stay had some improvements and some disappointments. The Santa breakfast was much better, the kids were actually full! However, the activities were a bit of a letdown. There was no candy cane night hunt, no scavenger hunt, and the village was “sold out” of a lot of the crafts, even though we were the first there. The cabins are great except that you need to be proactive with someone on site that can answer questions. I do not think that I would pay that kind of money again if we can't request a stay next to our family. There was mice poop in the pans. We were not given pins for the tv's which there were a number. We stay multiple times per year at Vail KOA.

Stayed in one of the cabins. It was great. Only complaint was the coffee pot didn't work very well. Other than that, the place was awesome. Lots of stuff going on all around the camp for kids to do. Very well done by the staff.

The Lower Merlot is the tenement yard of the KOA franchise. It has an 18th century bathroom that Beethoven utilized.

Temecula KOA at Vail Lake is a massive RV resort with various campgrounds. The entire resort alone provides so much area to get a good walking, jogging and cycling workout. We got a good spot and, therefore, enjoyed the views, fresh air and clean atmosphere. There are lots of trees and grassy fields here, unlike RV parks that look like parking lots. It's also just a short drive away from the wineries. If you like to drink wine but don't have a designated driver, just hire an Uber or Lyft.
