Campground Reviews

We stayed in the Arroyo section. It is all new with new gravel RV parking and new bark in the campsites. The campsites are spacious, not on top of each other. The bathrooms are new and clean. We will definitely come back.

I been coming to this camp ground for 25 years before it was KOA. I was disappointed to see how much trash there was all over the campground around the oaks. I took it upon myself to go around and pick it all up 2 trash bags of it. Also the oak trees get no water they are so dry. Please water the oaks it has been a beautiful place for many years. It’s why it’s called the oaks.

After checking into my cabin 0C04 we found that there was mice living in this cabin. I inspected the rest of the cabin and found mice dropping throughout. There were even droppings in the triple bunk bedroom. At night we could even see the mice as they were nesting under the refrigerator. We notified the KOA staff, but other than cleaning a bit and setting a trap we were stuck with this cabin :(

We did not know that the loft area was specifically for children only The first time going up to check out the loft the ceiling took the skin off of my head. I wouldn’t have even gone up there to check it out if I had known. There was no internet or tv service as advertised. Otherwise the accommodations were great clean quiet and relaxing Thank you

Love the new campsites in the lower area. Also excited that you can drive to vail lake to fish! It just makes our favorite campground even better!

We have stayed here several years in a row as a group. And slowly our group is dwindling. Out of the 4, two will not come back. For us, its about getting together. Unfortunately we had no idea nothing would be open the week we went. As a customer -the bar, cafe, & music, etc ALL Need to be open. Please, please remodel the moldy bathrooms. They are really bad now. For over $77/night not worth it.

Great place to camp out! Beautiful!

My favorite place to camp. Only complaint is women’s restroom had a lot of cobwebs and no seat in handicap shower stall.

We rented one of the little cabins for two nights. We were very comfy with two queen beds a loft, 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen, bbq, patio, and fire ring. Everything we needed to relax and spend time in the outdoors. We biked to vail lake and hiked a few great trails from camp. The pools were clean and very relaxing. There's been many great upgrades to this campground loved our stay.

This is one of the most well-run properties we have stayed at. Everyone was focused on making things easy for us to have an enjoyable stay!

This campground is amazing! It is immaculately clean and very quiet. The bathrooms and showers are very nice. I could live here.

Everything was great, especially enjoyed the concert on Saturday evening. The facilities where you check in needs a good water pressure cleaning and paint on the exterior, the eve's are in particularly bad shape, The miniature golf course is in disrepair and needs refurbishing, especially when you consider how much guests use it.

Everything was pretty nice. Power was out Friday all night and never received any notification or anything. Just came back on in the morning.

Checked in on Memorial Day and left Wednesday. It looked like everyone was packing up and leaving from the 3 day weekend so it was very quiet. Took a bike ride over to the lake. It was the first time I've been to the lake. It was nice to see it open. 2nd day was very windy and chilly so we kind of had to batten down the hatches and we were mainly in the trailer, but all good. See you in July!

The main concern I had was there was a lot of golf carts that were just speeding around ran my granddaughter off the road because they just were too drunk or who knows but just saying nobody stopping at the stop signs other than that everything was really nice wonderful place

We loved it.

It was our first time at this KOA campground, and we’ll definitely be going back and telling our friends about it. All of the staff was friendly, the campground was very clean, and there’s so much to do.

I wish there was more activities to do like a jumping pillow, splash pad, or other activities for kids. There was also a physical altercation in the site next to us and when I called security, no one picked up the first time after 15 or so rings, and then I tried again after a few minutes and was able to get someone. There are no easily accessible parking spaces near the check-in desk.

Overall it was an ok stay but I definitely wont recommend this specific KOA. It would have been better if the quiet hours were followed and enforced. There shouldn’t be music with heavy bass blasting until 1am. The site raging until that time was site #151. Not once did we hear anyone come enforce the rules. The store, restaurant, and office hours aren’t fluid w the hours of check in and check

This is our second stay and it was wonderful. Already booked again for next May and even extended it by one more day.

KOA has a lot to offer and we like staying there. It would be nice if the quiet hours were enforced. I know there is only so much one person rounding can do, but it was pretty bad listening to a full karaoke set up until midnight when they started at 3pm.

The campground is beautiful, with many activities for the kids. However, quiet hours are NOT observed here. We had teenagers zooming behind our RV until 3:00 a.m., cussing and laughing. One of them had made a drum and was drumming for hours. They were completely unsupervised. It was very difficult for my family to sleep. I’m really hopeful that this is remedied the next time we visit.

Thank you for all your upgrades especially internet service, makes life in your campground much easier.

This was our first trip to your campground and we had a wonderful time. Hooking up was easy. The village was convenient and we appreciated it having restaurants and live music and the golf carts :) . It’s a Beautiful property we enjoyed a drive down to the lake. I will highly recommend this campground to our friends and family!

We were a bit disappointed with the condition of the property. The bathrooms in the area where we stayed had deteriorated sinks, the men’s restroom had a hole in the ceiling. Hot water took extremely long time for shower in the same restroom. Trash cans throughout the property were overflowing. We did have an issue with the power going out at our site. Maintenance did respond in a timely manner.

My family and I had a great experience. We're definitely coming back. Space 184 is a great spot.

We have stayed in the Oaks area at campsite 84 several times over the past year and the bathroom in that area is horrible and I have let them know and previous reviews. The bathroom has holes in the ceiling. The showers have holes in the walls around the outlets and the floors show a lot of chipped paint. The partitions arrested at the bottom around the urinals and it’s been known to the front d

The campground is amazing. Loved all the amenities. The only recommendations I’d have is to give people maps with directions to their site. We got lost because we were given wrong directions from the person that checked us in. Also it would be nice to enforce rules of kids being loud and riding ebikes all over the property without adult supervision.

Love staying here! It’s like a fun mini local vacay of an Oasis

We loved our stay. We rented a golf cart & enjoyed driving around and going to the lake. One campers music was way too loud, but that happens. It would have been nice if someone just mentioned it to them. They were far from us, but I’m sure others were bothered too. We liked our spacious campsite. It was also nice having a place to get ice cream & the bar. We will be back.

Without a notice that KOA weekends start on Thursday and site went from$52 to $72 with no added value.

Amazing time, wish we stayed longer to do more. The amenities were great- golf carts are a must unless you’re biking everywhere, and there was lots to see. Overall, property was clean, excellent relaxed vibe at the entire camp. Roxann at check in was so friendly and informative. Loved staying here and will certainly be back soon!

Went by myself and truly enjoyed my stay. Quiet, Beautiful. Spot #9 is awesome! This KOA offers lots to do. They deliver firewood to your spot if needed. Show up on time, leave on time everything Great! Will be back

We love this KOA… But with little money, time and effort the dog k-9 camp area needs some TLC. Out of doggy bags, fence needs repair and because of the wind most of the wood chips are at the far end? Can’t anyone just spread the chips throughout the dog run? Also mini golf needs desperate repair and or remodeling. As much as everyone spends camping at this KOA, it should be a no-brainer…

The Lower Merlot is the tenement yard of the KOA franchise. It has an 18th century bathroom that Beethoven utilized.

Temecula KOA at Vail Lake is a massive RV resort with various campgrounds. The entire resort alone provides so much area to get a good walking, jogging and cycling workout. We got a good spot and, therefore, enjoyed the views, fresh air and clean atmosphere. There are lots of trees and grassy fields here, unlike RV parks that look like parking lots. It's also just a short drive away from the wineries. If you like to drink wine but don't have a designated driver, just hire an Uber or Lyft.
