Campground Reviews

The cabin was nice and the front desk staff were very friendly. However, the cabin had tiny bugs on the kitchen counter and in my bed. Also, I rented an electric bike onsite and the battery was not fully charged. The bike battery died after 30 minutes and I was stuck on the bike trails with a heavy electric bike in the hot sun!!

We can't understand, having a patio site, why you do not have camp worker hose off the concrete before a new camper arrives.. I don't want my dog licking what is left from previous campers. Also, nice patio seats with bird crap on them. We watched camp workers check vacant sites & by that I mean propane tanks. You made improvements but they need to be maintained especially charging more $ for them

Relaxing, pool was refreshing, bar was great, employees were cordial, attentive and friendly. On the down side, directional signage is poor, no maps at gate, at our site #6, fencing is falling down (looks like for a long time), connection to sewer for black dump is difficult, i.e., the level from to connection to pipe is to close to being the same and makes a smooth flow almost impossible.

the mini golf needs some attention as there are areas that require upkeep. the pool was large and clean. the sites were large and clean. it would have been nice to have a site between each camper especially because it was not busy and the people next to us kept smoking pot, so with kids in our site, it made it very uncomfortable. people were burning wood collected around the campground.

We stayed at the newly renovated Arroyo area, and loved it. It was very clean, and the spots were a great size.

Sites were awesome and love all the activities and bands playing. Wish the restaurant was open a little later on Sundays. And would love to see another fenced in dog area near Arroyo seco area or more sites with their own dog area. Plus staff was very pleasant and restrooms were very clean.

I stayed in space 11 on the Chardonnay Mesa. The bathroom was rough in that it needs a serious cleaning and face lift. The store being where check in is the same space and causes the store hours to be less than ideal for campers. If you needed Ice or coffee etc. your out of luck until 9:00 am. and then closes at 4:00 pm. Heaven forbids someone have to work a shift that is customer beneficiary.

Great place to camp

so clean, great space, friendly staff and so much to do.

Loved that you had bands playing on the weekend. Upper camping lot needs a little more shade and maybe some pea gravel because there is no grass, the dirt/dust is not ideal.

Had an amazing time! Only issue was the internet connection was weak.

We had a relaxing fun time. Saturday night was fun and we heard great live music. Sunday night was calm and we heard crickets! It was beautiful and we loved it.

Great stay, but the restrooms in Lower Merlot are undesirable and need updating. Also the live band was way too loud and not very family friendly with very hard rock.

We loved the camp site, the pools, the bike track for the kids, the cafe had good food and the band Friday night was a lot of fun.

Everything was great. Just need to update the bathrooms. The sink was rusty.

Beautiful campground! Loved the bar, gift shop and live band. There was a blonde lady at the cafe that was ver rude when I asked if I could pre order a couple pizzas for the evening. Additionally, there were many campsites blaring music until about 1am. There are no rangers enforcing the quiet hours. Our neighbor didn’t even turn down the music it was like sleeping in a music club.

Great place to camp

everyone was nice, place is clean. The wood chips made keeping them outside of the coach a challenge. We rented a golf cart it was clean looked fairly new. Over all a great stay with 5 of our grandchildren and 2 dogs.

Amazing staff. Best camping experience possible

Best site we have been to yet. Looks to do and see. The village area is pretty cool and entertaining. The only constructive feedback would be- please upgrade the mini golf area. For the price people pay to stay, this should be in better condition. Not only aesthetically but safety wise for little kids and older adults. Overall, great experience. Thank you

I’ve been staying here for years and always have a wonderful time. The only problem I had this time is that my dogs got ticks on them, which has never happened before. I hope it’s just a one time thing because this is our favorite place to camp.

Only concern was extending our stay. Already stayed two days under another res name and wanted to extend our stay another two days. The office insisted they were full and couldn’t fill our request even on a different site. So I went online & was able to make a res myself. Hmm. Upon check in the girl was indifferent in discussing site #s. Rather rude attitude like we were imposing on her time.

glad to finally see arroyo opened up again, its been too long. nice level sites, however the 3 inch rock is way to large to walk on with a cane, it would be much better if you had smaller rocks on top of the big stuff! new bathrooms are beautiful!!!! guess thats why prices have jumped, ouch

Very clean and well maintained. Plenty of open space and the campsites in the new area arroyo are nice sized. My only complaint would be that I paid for a deluxe site without being notified of constant construction noise and traffic. Had I known that I would have chosen another area. The deluxe sites were really great BBQ was convenient, chairs were comfortable, dining table was nice.

First you need more trash bins,,,,second the bathrooms are filthy disgusting dirty and third that broken down junky 5th wheel with trash around it needs to be cleaned up. The cafe needs to be open every day not just 3 days that's ridiculous. And last people renting the golf carts are driving around with their kides ( like 5 year olds ) sitting on their laps driving, it's ridiculous.

We had a good stay. We camped in spot 79. A more gravel lot would have been better. Also the bathrooms and showers need more attention. Other than that, it was a good several days and a really nice resort. Thank you.

The Lower Merlot is the tenement yard of the KOA franchise. It has an 18th century bathroom that Beethoven utilized.

Temecula KOA at Vail Lake is a massive RV resort with various campgrounds. The entire resort alone provides so much area to get a good walking, jogging and cycling workout. We got a good spot and, therefore, enjoyed the views, fresh air and clean atmosphere. There are lots of trees and grassy fields here, unlike RV parks that look like parking lots. It's also just a short drive away from the wineries. If you like to drink wine but don't have a designated driver, just hire an Uber or Lyft.
