Super friendly staff, great sites, bathroom in the Chardonnay area is old and needs maintenance heater not working , but fantastic location very charming Christmas decorations. Everything else was beyond my expectations..

Everything was great. The only thing I would recommend is that on holiday weekends like this last weekend, the bar and restaurant stay open later than 2pm. We were in the bar at 1:45 and there was over 20 people in the bar waiting in line.

For our 3rd year staying at Vail Lake KOA. We were very disappointed in the cleanliness of our cabin as well as with so many things being broken. This is an expensive weekend & I expect to come into a clean cabin, not to clean up after who was there before us, having dead bugs stuck to the wall, & lots of dust. They’re also shouldn’t be broken glassware, cabinets, & fixtures

Need to work on asphalt roads to many pot holes, there are a lot of children playing around and bicycles and scooters. Someone might fall specially during the nighttime..

This stay had some improvements and some disappointments. The Santa breakfast was much better, the kids were actually full! However, the activities were a bit of a letdown. There was no candy cane night hunt, no scavenger hunt, and the village was “sold out” of a lot of the crafts, even though we were the first there. This was our 3rd year with our grandkids and once again we and the kids had a wonderful time, the staff is great and always ready to help, we love our camping spot. Just the right amount of activities which the kids love. I did notice a number offensive signs and flags that kids should not be exposed to so maybe a policy should be in place for that. Overall great time, thank you

We always enjoy Vail. We were interrupted this time by bike riders riding through our campsites. It would be nice if there were speed bumps and a playground for kids.

Front desk rep not very helpful with questions re activities. Quickly referred us to website. How warm is that? Day 2 wanted to rent golf cart one day, told must be 2 day minimum. We did not rent and enjoy the golf cart. Bathroom and showers need some love. Overall, we enjoyed our time there.

Beautiful campground! Did a bike ride to the lake which was so nice. Christmas decorations all around the campground which added a festive touch. Would definitely come back here!

Great place to camp staff very friendly lots to do Christmas decorations were beautiful and being able to drive to the lake was real nice I hope the stupid people who throw trash and cigarette butts on the ground stay away from the lake it should be open to people camping only

Great Xmas weekend. Wish the snow didn’t harden so fast but can’t do much about that! DJ and band were great, drinks were awesome. A great place to celebrate with friends and family. Love the staff and the Xmas decorations. Great weekend!!

Always a great time for the Christmas fun! Loved the tamales! Dj this year was horrible but the band was good. Snow party was ok ,definitely better years before. Overall another great year in the books!

It would be nice to add a few dim lights between the general store and restaurant area towards the sites. Add a few solar on a few fence posts.

We've been coming here 5+ times a year for over 10 years. This year (2025) has really changed for the worse. I would no longer consider this a family-friendly campground. Loud, explicit music is the norm; the party crowd is taking over all areas of the camp. A teen drove his golf cart through our camp and down the hill. There was a physical fight in a cabin below us, we decided to leave early :(

We had an excellent time. We enjoyed all of the activities for the kids and the park itself is very clean and well-maintained. However, we do feel it is overpriced overall.

Love this place and all they have to offer. The only thing that was disappointing was the Activities Desk. A few of the kids working there were less than helpful or pleasant. Everyone and everything else was 5 stars though!

Had a wonderful time with family. My only complaint would be that I was given a blue sheet of paper for next year. I didn’t realize what it was until Saturday night and when I went to turn it in Sunday morning at 8:30 when we left, the sign said open at 9. I had to leave so I called a little later and was told they opened at 8 but forgot to change the sign so I was out of luck.very disappointed

The bathroom in the oak were horrible. There was holes in the ceiling, the shower curtains were ripped no privacy just playing horrible bathrooms. The road in front of the 180 sites are extremely horrible to have your trailer go through. They need to pave all tha area.

The cabins are great except that you need to be proactive with someone on site that can answer questions. I do not think that I would pay that kind of money again if we can't request a stay next to our family. There was mice poop in the pans. We were not given pins for the tv's which there were a number. We stay multiple times per year at Vail KOA.

This is our 4th year and I thought employees were much more friendly and helpful than ususal. Great entertaiment for the kids.

Stayed in one of the cabins. It was great. Only complaint was the coffee pot didn't work very well. Other than that, the place was awesome. Lots of stuff going on all around the camp for kids to do. Very well done by the staff.

Our second time staying at the Chardonnay site. enjoyed that location, especially during the middle of the week as it is very peaceful! We appreciate the good WiFi signal, the laundry room facilities with everything working. Sites are well maintained, staff very friendly, Christmas lights beautiful. Improvements - road/pavement is falling apart, some grass areas overwatered making it very muddy.

It was our first time camping at the Koa in Temecula. Our friends recommended it to us. A big group of us went and we had the best time. We are booked AGAIN for next year!

The Lower Merlot is the tenement yard of the KOA franchise. It has an 18th century bathroom that Beethoven utilized.

Temecula KOA at Vail Lake is a massive RV resort with various campgrounds. The entire resort alone provides so much area to get a good walking, jogging and cycling workout. We got a good spot and, therefore, enjoyed the views, fresh air and clean atmosphere. There are lots of trees and grassy fields here, unlike RV parks that look like parking lots. It's also just a short drive away from the wineries. If you like to drink wine but don't have a designated driver, just hire an Uber or Lyft.
