We absolutely LOVE Vail Lake KOA and come here multiple times a year. Especially the Halloween weekends. A few suggestions, the main roadways need to be repaired. Walking at night with kids can be dangerous w/the big holes in the road. We really missed the way the scavenger hunt used to be and the camp shadow lake trail was super cool but could have used more monsters etc throughout the trail.

Excellent. We love it every year and have been coming for 9 years now. The haunted house is missed although I'm grateful there was at least a haunted walk. I'm most curious to know if Rincon will be getting cabins as promised last year but are delayed at this point. Are they still coming? I hope so because we are slated for one !

The stay was great! One little feedback that I had is the fact that the dog run at the campground is so small, we could not take our dogs over there. There is so much land out there, I would hope that they would build a bigger run for all the dogs that go there.

I love staying at your property for Halloween. The downside is kids (4 years and up) whizzing by on motorized bikes. It really is dangerous for everyone. I can’t tell you how many times I almost hit someone while I was in the golf cart. Kids are passing on the inside where I can’t see them, crossing in front of you, total chaos. Also, you need to enlarge your dog park like 30x.

We have been staying in the same site, on the same dates for over 6 years. The prices keep going up, new, rough clientele that lacks camping etiquette. The air quality ibaf from too many campfires, dirt sites are sinking. Action: gas fire pits only, no carts/cars during trick or treat hours, enforce “rules of the road”, don’t charge bounce houses to make it more family centric.

Another great Halloween year! A few thoughts… Closing road to cars while trick or treating Starting Saturday night band later so those that are doing candy can attend after Love making Thursday night a fun event too New paver sites are gorgeous! Roads being repaved is so nice

The driving of cars and golf carts through the oaks on Saturday night is so dangerous with all the little kids trick or treating. I wish you would close the oaks to cars and golf carts and have only walking for just a couple hours on Saturday night

This past weekend I was very disappointed in the condition of our cabin. The exterior lights were not working and it was very dark and dangerous to go up and down the entry stairs at night. The cabin was missing many necessary items, including a can opener, pairing knife, pot holder, and spatula. This made cooking very difficult. The floor was filthy and trash found under the couch.

2 older ladies in the front were rude on Thursdays check in. Cabin Room floors were dirty. Especially the little room and under the beds. Cups we’re missing, can opener was broken, bathroom sink handle kept falling off. Need more trash bags, and dishwasher pods Other than that… everything was amazing!

KOA has made some fantastic improvements over the last year and we hear there are more to come. My only comments for Halloween weekends is that there are a few more people enforcing the rules (kids on golf carts, no helmets on bikes, etc.). A great addition to the rules would be NO vehicles (carts or cars) on the Oaks loop from maybe 7 to 9 to allow everyone to walk around safely.

Camping here continues to be more and more expensive. Investments in park infrastructure don't seem to be covering the basic needs of the park (roads, bathrooms, playgrounds, security). Investments seem to be focused on premium features (cabins, pavers, bands). It's becoming harder and harder to justify coming back for the price.

We really enjoy it though we wish the mazes were more in the middle so we dont have to go through the madness to get to them and that we could get a discount rate on the mazes if we want to purchase more if we are staying there,

Horrible customer service, horrible crowds, ridiculous amount of drunks, no noise control engorcement, people drunk and partying until 2-3am in every csnpground, rude supervisor when informed her of complaint

The staff was not very friendly, not very knowledgeable and they were not accommodating. The camp was over run with under age drinking and driving and obnoxiously loud music. There's sparse areas where you can use Wi-Fi. Most of the camp looks run down and dated. The ping ping table was not level, the paddles were missing the rubber facing. The pools were ice cold. There's no trash cans. Terrible

Nice campground except for the bathrooms, very old with peeling paint. Store also closed way too early.

Office staff is not very friendly. We were camping as a group and all of us had issues with the office staff at differenttimes and for different reasons. Sites are getting very expensive for what you get. They need to stop letting non campers come in "day use" the campgrounds. Makes it very crowded .

Been camping there @ 8 years on the same spot because we have many friends that camp at this same location. My only concern is that the pesdestal at my site has not been upgraded. The pesdestal is "short" and is difficult to connect my rv cord. Hopefully, someone should install a "taller" pesdestal before we arrive next year.

I’ve been stuck is Arroyo for a few years even though I’ve been requesting to move to an area with FULL HOOKUPS. Now I’m told I can’t camp next year (my same weekend) because of upgrades. However, I think KOA should automatically guarantee me a spot for that same weekend in 2024.

We had a great time as always. There are two things I would definitely recommend 1. The road in the oaks needs to be fixed.badly my wife and daughter almost tripped several times. We have been coming to Vail Lake for 12 years now and the road has never been fixed. 2 there should be no cars or golf carts allowed during a certain time of trick-or-treating in the oaks. It is very dangerous.

We have been staying at Vail for years now and always have a blast. A little different in the Oaks as not too many people decorated on the other side, but nice to see those who do. Maybe the Oaks should be mandatory for those who participate in decorating? Just a thought since that's where everyone trick or treats. Love that the quiet time is not enforced during this time!!

Every year we have loved the activities and our stay! However, this year we were disappointed in the scavenger hunt (we loved having to travel through and find the markers that were placed) the haunted maze (didnt feel worth $20.00 a person) and the costume contest was very unorganized. Some kids werent even seen on stage!

Honestly love it there. Have been coming for 13 years. Always look forward to booking each year. Last year pricing went up a bit and I understood. This next year it doubles per night and the thought of paying $410 for a two night stay makes me nauseous. I think we will be discontinuing our stay here and making memories elsewhere.

Best campground was beautifully designed to accommodate lots of campers in such a way that I never felt crowded. Its main draw is ebike mountain and track. The trails were furiously busy with all kinds of bikers who were courteous and safe in their behaviors. The park had a beautiful large pool it was near a scenic very pretty lake. They offered lots of activities for families including a tethered hot-air balloon. There is a camp store, Cafe and bar. Prices were reasonable and service was cheerful. Campgrounds were never noisy at night and there was ample room for children to play in various areas. Showers, laundry facilities and restrooms were ample and very clean. At night and various times through the day there was entertainment but never noisy or disruptive.

Recently spent some time there, loved it. Well kept up, nice staff, was nice to be able to visit the on-site cafe and have a drink with some new friends. The only negative thing I'd mention, some people drove too fast, lrg aggressive dog breeds, a person brought a dog to the pool. Pools were nice and the on-site cabins looked good. Rules weren't followed.
